damn would it be just groovy if we'd dress ourselves in some funky knight outfits and have some of dat famous english tea while raving to classical music. or not. well you have, or had, a good paying job so I guess little spending here and there won't hurt unlike in my case...
-
I don't buy anything that's over 10 dollars. that's because in most cases the records I want will be available for that price at some point. (okay I did pay 40$ for Ubar Tmar's "Fusion". but it has my fav track on it! And I get the money back if I sell it.)

lyrics (or well, human voice) can be very good if properly used! singing can create great melodic structures that would be impossible to recreate with machines. just check out "zu fuss" by extrawelt. they've hazed the human voice so much that you can only hear the melody the voice creates. another good example of successful use of vocals is james holden's "nothing".
-
good price, you get your money back too if you suddenly get bored with it (but you wouldn't right? I mean, you do have a good taste as far as I've witnessed.) I'm currently hunting the "samurai" single by juno. there's also a remix by koxbox there. and that just might be THE track from them.

dude dontcha think that dew is enough suffering already? I mean you can't do anything but to feel sorry for the kid. And the legendary: "I won't get into mischief. And ma'am sometimes I do get into mischief. We all do! " We all do!
-
indeedy Antic! the koxbox remix is one of the better tracks they ever made. that's a good reason to hunt that one. so how much?

Sir, my hands are hardly touching the keyboard. I'm barely able to look at the screen. How can I change an avatar? Think about it. A kid changing the avatar, in general knowing nothing about computers? I don't think so. ps. I sent you a package few days ago... I think it'll arrive shortly.

Holden - A break in the clouds I've lost count how many times I've played this today! :SD Fantastic tune by maybe the most interesting prog artist that's out there right now... -
I think I'll check that one out just because of the name... (pleiadians + crop circles....)

I think it's one helluva album. GMS knew how to put energy in music. "I'll be back" is the best tribute Arnold has ever had. I'm buying it.

this is a nice thread! you can use your imagination a lot I wonder why so little have contributed? the chill stage: toytronic-label artists boards of canada plaid esem luomuhappo ambidextrous lackluster symphoid the funk psy stage: cosmosis oikeusjyvä aavepyörä astral projection hallucinogen intriga ubar tmar ocelot dj ukiro the general plowing stage: x-dream benza midi miliz blake baxter jeff mills derrick may koxbox james holden I guess that's enough... though I just realised I have this big hole to fill in the area of prog house, deep/detroit techno, psytech... damn, I'm lost
-
Don't worry! You've only entered the group of bad taste members. I'm there too, welcome!

james holden - horizons nice progressive track! beautiful epic melodies :] -
I definitely would like to! but with my moneys... I think that's a no can do. I think Konemetsä ( http://www.konemetsa.net/ ) is still looking for artists/djs and they do have quite a broad selection of acts... why not some old school too eh?
-
I wouldn't go see Etnica live probably... only if the ticket was very well priced Better solution I think would be to ask a dj friend if he could spin those old Etnica tunes in some ug party... (I've seriously thought this)

Koxbox - Oscillocore what a broken record I must be... I mean I've surely mentioned this before! I've finally started to like Frankie's new style. Very bass-dominated, but still so unique! This is just the right path to go, I'm evolving as Koxbox does. Yes, yes yes! The next album will kick ass if it's a blend of psytech and Koxbox-ish twistedness like this is.
