Do you do drugs while listening to psytrance?
Oopie replied to FatKidWitAJetPak's topic in General Psytrance
I do reckon that it's close to impossible if you do psychedelics that have strong visual alteration. But with, let's say magic mushrooms, the psychedelic high is perfectly possible to achieve without a strong visual experience especially if you take a lighter trip. To put it short: some psychedelics only alter your perception about yourself or goals in music. So making the music is not harder than in a normal state, it could be the contrary. -
Suomisaundi exists at least since 1994 - the material just didn't got out until later.

My deput: Sab Kuch Milegator - Shantimatter
Oopie replied to Oopie's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
I'm glad for everything you've wrote... could anyone be so kind and perhaps, even make a proper review of it? I'd just be curious to hear even if it is a sort of one time experiment. boom... -
Can't believe you got it so cheap. Congrats... x)

Aural Planet vs. Divinorum - Power Liquids Entheogenic - Spontaneous Illumination (1st press) because once again...

All about Plastomer 1. Fantastic track!

Frog's Breath was a track I used to love... nowadays I reckon the production is a bit thin on it, would be a great track otherwise. I used to mail this guy years ago, he even sent me some material, he telling me Frog's Breath was kind of one off experiment for him. Yes would've been great to have more stuff like that from him no doubt...

This kind of track seems to be what people want to hear these days. And it's the same reason I don't go to parties anymore so often. x)

^ When I had the Zirrex re-release, this one used to float my boat the most. It's got pretty memorable lead melody. I don't think I'd enjoy this kind of stuff anymore without substance abuse lol... x) So, it's quite good in it's own motives and I can appreciate the effort made to do it - but it doesn't trigger me on subjective level (rather irritates me). How to rate it? 8/10 is fair I reckon.

I'm glad to bring the news that my deput that I've worked quite a bit on is out on Ektoplazm! It's called 'Shantimatter' as it's focused on delivering trippy soundscapes in relatively slow tempo. It's a mixture of experimental trance, forest, goa & suomi - but you call it what you want. x) Sab Kuch Milegator - Shantimatter (2015) 01 - Cupcake Rainbow (123 BPM) 02 - Arigates & Sayosnares (126 BPM) 03 - Triptooth's Tribal Reboot (116 BPM) 04 - Massive Silly Cones (126 BPM) 05 - Vocal Volcano (128 BPM) 06 - One Love Dub You So (85 BPM) http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/sab-kuch-milegator-shantimatter I think it's a bit leftfield styled psytrance... I tried to make something fresh and out of the box material. But you be the judge of course. Boomz and hugz, Ridge

This ones a track that has honestly gone under my radar all these years. Yes the melody is epic, it's a very good track! One of those, like mentioned, that would be a dream to have in a bit more modern sounding quality.

This track is huge. Somebody must know something?

Thanks to each one of you. I've updated the youtube titles. I wonder if anyone knows the Koxbox - nn one?

A couple classics have to be omitted as they're not coherent as a whole (IFO for example... I think Alcyone and Electra are easily the best ones on it!) so my list is as follows: Bypass Unit - Dropz Of Obscure Eclipses Cosmosis - Cosmology (more coherent than Synergy althou both are great) Etnica - Live In Athens 96 Hallucinogen - Twisted (as the years go by my appreciation for this album grows. Ahead of everybody in 95!) Electric Universe - One Love Astral Projection - Trust In Trance Texas Faggott - Petoman's Peflett (Remains my suomisaundi favorite for years) Nervasystem - Time Travel Indoor - Progressive Trance (it's a bit simplistic and dated in some perspective, but carries so much soul <3 The best effort composition-wise the Ofer co. ever did in my books) Ra - To Sirius

I'm the wrong guy to judge this ^ I guess... all I've heard from him has almost the exact monotone bassline, here incorporating some inoffensive goa melodies. Take the "goa" away and it's just another prog track. Pitch it up and it's darkpsy lol... I'm quite frank here with my words and don't want to come out as rude but... it's just that there's no "play" or any kind of interaction or symbiotic nature with bass and melodies. It's the same note bass throughout the track! It's too easy and un-psychedelic for my enlightening process I'm afraid. x) 5/10 Here's an oldie, a bit of progressive as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=daAINudWVdE

Whoa Penzo, you've got Ubar Tmar's deput 12". Nice! I don't own a vinyl player but been thinking about buying that one as a decorative piece.

Thank you all! Very quick responses, nice. ma83: I don't think it's the same track, this DAT one has more twist to it... maybe a remix thou not impossible.
