Confessions... Yes I'm also a bit bored what do you know... but it's a problem where the roots go to a deeper level, society at large and how we are in this endless consumption loop. Remember those days when internet wasn't there? You bought a cd and would listen it for days. Nowadays we're so separate we don't even listen music together anymore! (parties & drugs, that's another story...) I don't think music in general evokes such energy, or an aura if you will, than before because it's a mirror of our collective constructed reality and that reality is beginning to look really frightening, really right-winged and self-centered. I've noticed there's a huge amount of complaint and even hate talk recently on releases that are actually quite high standard, and happen to think it's partly the social and mental frustration that's causing it.

Just started watching this... nice series, Bob Odenkirk is a brilliant actor (he was my favourite already on BB) and I do think the way they're filming the show is good entertainment. Sometimes very slow, sometimes more rapid - I think this kind of unusual setting for drama has came to television to stay.

Did Goa Classics Remixed give you hope for the new AP album?
Oopie replied to Ormion's topic in General Psytrance
They have it in themselves, but as said those remixes were nice but nothing really striking. I've got no assumptions as to where they're gonna go with their sound, let's see. -

Hi. Anyone here knows how to make acapella fast and easy? I've got a track, old kids song, tried to make an acapella version but can't say to have reached results good enough. Looking forward if anybody can be of assistance.

They're indeed Holland's "finest product" if you'd call it that.
-
Thanks that's a relevant answer and opens the mystery a bit. It's true when you don't have a proper scene in the first place, no small gatherings etc, it raises the bar to start producing,
-
Hi everyone. Let me start by honestly admitting the fact I'm not the best with nationalities of the producers so maybe there's a bunch of great Dutch producers, even ones I like, but just didn't know their origin simple as that. I've been wondering how come Holland is not a big place psytrance wise - I can only think a few people who did goa in the 90s, for example. They've got massive electronic scene that's common knowledge, but what I gather, and excuse my snobbiness, most dominant styles are these rave-y, dentist-appointment-at-the-club forms of music such as hardstyle/gabber/whatnot. How's the scene in Holland if there's any Dutch people reading this? I'm wondering Belgium being such a big country for goa trance, how come sun doesn't shine over the fence... (or does it?)

+1 It's a very good album, the melody structures are in fact what makes this release stand out. I listened to it a lot of times and really can only wonder what the fuss is with the mastering.
-
We agree to disagree on its use then. I've never used it on this forum and there's been no problems. I do, however, agree with your view of being polite and yes, something such as "I reckon/I find..." at the start of sentence sounds reasonable (better than "big letters IMO"). There's a lot of people on this forum, stating their views in a "factual manner" but once you understand musical preferences are always unique and tied to a person's subject, then, at that context, you can see it's harmless to voice your opinion boldly.

A good, old school-edged album with a lot of analog hardware in use. I know these guys have built a decent studio and invested quite a lot of their times to this project. For that, I'm thankful and seriously appreciate anyone with a little 90s twist to their story. Couple tracks have very distinct Transwave flavour a la 96, so it's a bit of a time machine album. Nothing wrong with that. I've gone through listening to this album as a whole a few times now, and in terms of composition find it ok - there's nothing groundbreaking or jaw-dropping, but on the other hand all tracks are listenable. I don't regard this as a classic to be, for it doesn't excel in any area. Still, a release worth investigating.

That abbreviation is useless unless you want to/need to emphasize the personal aspect in the point of view you're having; basically one can write an opinion e.g. Filteria's music is the best new school out there just like that, even though it's written in factual manner it's easy to see being just an opinion.
-
Although never a huge fan, I've always wanted to give Filteria a proper chance when coming out with a new album. I do agree with the opinion here that he's definitely improved on each consecutive album, obviously in terms of production but also as a musician, to some extent. Still, I'm bound to say he's always sounded a bit random with his melodies and pulled off harmonious, remembable hooks only a couple times in a satisfying fashion (the climax of birds lingua franca for example). So perhaps the honest thing to say is, I just think differently to Filteria as to what kind of melodies sound good or he lacks the ear to distinguish an average melody from a great one.

Sorry to hear that mate. I'm always a bit dissapointed when a release I've been looking for is released as a CDr - I skip buying them without a second thought... it's almost the same if I'd burn the disc myself.

Hi fellow space ranger warriors. I've been thinking for a long time to do a DJ mix with some tracks close to my heart. There's a lot of excellent producers these days I'm glad to say and I had to use a couple days for the selection of this mix, actually. The unsung goa hero of Finland, Intriga, I've included as a bonus some of you'll like it surely. Here's the tracklist: 1. Spiritual - Ride The Snake (Elysium Rmx) (Hypnotic LFO Room 2014) 2. Antares - Aurora (Suntrip Records 2008) 3. Artifact303 - Levitation Device (Cronomi Records 2009) 4. Galactic Mantra - Gate Of Light Spirits (ACPrecorp 2012) 5. Ephedra - Crispy Biscuits (Goa Madness Records 2014) 6. Sirius - Not From Here (Suntrip Records 2008) 7. Quijan - Old Truth (Not On Label 2015) 8. K.U.R.O. - Red Zombie v. 2 (Psyristor Trax 2012) 9. Trinodia - Hunger For E.S.P. (Goa Records 2013) BONUS: 10. Intriga - Stuff Of Legends (Unreleased) https://soundcloud.com/sab-kuch-milegator/my-vision-of-neo-goa
