  1. ~170 plays and 100 downloads seems a bit exaggerated figure Wonder what happened there...
  2. Welcome to the forum friend. Hey it's no problem... I'm doubtful if I understand any of the pictures I posted.
  3. Oho. Seems like all the free downloads (100) are used. I'll search the dvd with the original file and upload it at some point for you...
  4. These days I prefer music listening as a shared experience, be it any kind.
  5. I love Electronics Unilevel early output. First two albums are still on a regular spin in my player. It's simplistic yet attractive goa at it's best. What he did between 98-03 is kinda mystery to me - I've never checked out his albums WAV.s, Blue Planetarium, Divided Sign or Unicorn. Should I?
  6. Hi all. My good friend made this mix on vinyls. It's in my opinion, an absolute must for the ones who want to have a look where goa trance has its roots. https://soundcloud.com/dj-lupu/proto-goa-mix-1986-1992
  7. Hiya! I just had a nice studio session with my friend yesterday... he mixing a proto-goa set from vinyls and me spinning some downtempo goa. Some is vinyl only, some is more classic. Tried to make it balanced. https://soundcloud.com/ridgegoamix/shivas-delight-retro-goa-mix Here's the tracklist: 1. Juantrip' - B2 (Sonic Experiment EP) (Rave Age Records 1993) 2. Sonic Sculpture - Shroom (Red Eyes Records 1994-1995?) 3. Sirius-B - Lunarcy (Diverse Groove Department 1994) 4. Transwave - Ulysse Voyage 1 (Distance 1995) 5. Sri Hari - Brahman (Bhaktivedenta Book Trust 1995) 6. Third Eye - Morphic Resonance (Psy-Harmonics 1993) 7. Shiva Chandra - Safety Space (Spirit Zone 1996) 8. Aril Brikha - Kind Of Nitzer (Peacefrog 2007) 9. Orbital - Remind (Internal 1993) 10. Smoke Machine - Rezolution (Bedhopper Recordings 1994?) 11. Man With No Name - Paint A Picture (Fabulous Music UK 1993) 12. Eat Static - Contact (Planet Dog 1998) 13. Koxbox - Acid Vol. 3 (Outloud Records 1993) 14. Eat Static - Cocoon (Written 1991. Planet Dog 2009) 15. Koxbox - Birdy (Outloud Records 1993) 16. Datura - Eternity (Samsara) (Trance Records 1993) Trainwrecked a bit with that Aril Brikha section... It's a nice track to include thou. Not sure if the artist was looking to make such an authentic sounding goa track there.
  8. To me they're kinda so-so tracks. Well made stuff, but nothing striking that wouldn't have been done better by other artists at the time.
  9. Space Dwarfs is really good. One of the best tunes in this genre no doubt. I won't comment on the rest of their catalogue though...
  10. It's a fine track. The things that catch my attention are 1) there's no fast paced hihats so it kinda mellows down the energy (there are nice swirly fxs that kinda make up for it, but not quite) 2) it's to some degree a little repetitive on the melody. If you still feel like you want to make changes to this track (or maybe you just wanted us to hear it?) I'd advice making the same melody on 2 different patterns using similar but still different sounds/synths, the other having a sort of delay effect for cool 3d feeling.
  11. I'm gonna have a little taster of Nebula's forthcoming album next Saturday... I'll bet it's ace. ;--]
  12. Heh, I used the word suffer but if you read carefully you see it's not what I mean as I don't see much negative to my condition. You're right, it's not really that easy to decide a feeling per se. Maybe I didn't put it clearly. It has actually more to do with person's awareness. To be more precise, it has to do with person's acceptance of the conditions where he's in. Yeah I know... sometimes there comes situations where you can't escape a bad feeling. Even Jesus was sad at times. But most of the problems I see people holding, most of them are not real problems at all. These problems are usually superficial and to large extent, caused by ego. I'm telling a personal story - as soon as I learned to be responsible for myself, I learned not to blame other people or environment for the karma I'm going through. And this karma is simply put, a cause and effect relation. Whatever I'd decide to do, it has an effect on my mind and in a larger picture, personality. You read this text I'm writing and it has an effect on you, guaranteed (whether good or bad I'll leave that aside). Your mind is like a large piece of wax, and your decisions are like fingers touching the wax and molding it. What do I want to be in relation to the experience I'm having? This is the ultimate question of life. The more you ask it to yourself, the more you'll begin to understand about your possibilities to be in control of your life. Your feelings are to a large extent related to the viewpoints you decide to take. To choose constantly a good viewpoint on life of course takes wisdom, but what spurs wisdom to grow in our minds is ultimately our own will of mind.

  14. I also 'suffer' from the lack of emotional response. I guess, it's not that much a problem. I know what's right and what's good for people and act accordingly. I see it as a strength to be able to keep a sort of emotional distance on some stressful or problematic situations. I reckon in the end, these problems and stress are made up, these words are there to describe mental states and person's viewpoint or stance on his life. We're there to make subjective decisions in a world that's in reality objective. The world exists and that's ultimately the only fact we can make about it. The rest is up to a person to decide - what do I want to be in relation to the experience I'm having? would be the defining question. You can choose what you are and what you feel. The human being has enormous potential to decide. It's just that the large number of people are not aware about this and belittle their 1) abilities 2) responsibility.
  15. No matter what the conditions it's always 10. It's more about living in acceptance with your conditions than the actual emotions.
  16. Thanks mate. Positive comments give me energy to carry on.
  17. Yeah I understood he's talking about the tone not volume. It's indeed a matter of personal reference and I prefer a heavy kick as well.
  18. If you're intending to to progressive then you have a nice start there. Technosomy's right thou, you need some more substance inside the track... if not melodies then give a good attention to bassline, hats and how you build the groove.
  19. thank you so much! means a lot to me.
  20. Laitan ma/ti tulemaan sun suuntaan! Thanks for da orda.
  21. Yes I like it and gonna keep it the way it is, and hope some others would enjoy it as well. The kick's not loud compared to let's say... Miranda. And Miranda kicks ass.
  22. Hmmm... maybe Aeon's Transe Modulaire? 'Osho' and 'Neurone' are very... sunshiny. ;---)
  23. I really wouldn't want any lighter kick than that... will loose the punch. It sounded surprisingly awesome on big PA and I kinda like 909 sound anyway... ;---)
