From 93 to 00 there were more than enough to choose from. For me years 2001-2007 were quite bland for psytrance and I spent actually some time thinking proper candidates. But here we go...
  2. Maybe I'm alone but I think this is not good at all. It's on the verge of euro-trance and the melodies sound simple, there's little emotional value to them. The psychedelic fx factor is always kept to minimum, almost to the point I feel these are hurried tracks or some sort of sketches.
  3. 10/10. (; One of the best tracks ever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtBdui8NEhI Sorry I couldn't resist...
  4. !! top tune !! One of the most striking examples of forest goa. The remix is even better, but without further bs I'll give this one 9/10.
  5. Yes yes. Sounds like Portamento uses real 303 in his works, but I'm not all goosebumps. He is a skillful producer enough to make a professional track, but on his album there were no tracks that made me bleed insanity. It's psychedelic, but just barely. There's not enough layers and motives to really captivate me or wanna have the experience of listening to his tracks again. His music seems to always miss that final touch. I give this one 6/10. http://www.mikseri.net/artists/phaz/wylli-landzcape/238881/
  6. I'm getting tired of Filteria... the tracks are always so samey, in yer face without much substance. Essentially it's good sound texture, but he's only ever done a handful of tracks where the melodies are stunning and captivating. This is an example of mish mash of notes and it gives me slight headache. 6/10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KqivpTvX5Gs
  7. Not a progressive fan... it's not a bad track, could listen to it in the background. 6/10
  8. Really good track! It's hard to pinpoint what's particularly good about this - it's not too characteristic yet everything in Stardiver sounds just right. I give it 9/10.
  9. wot the track was by synchro.... This track is classic Darshan. Acidic, dark and fast. Good use of hats. Melodically one of their best. 8,5/10 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Upj65EyWBDc
  10. Space Dwarfs! That's one sick tune. Other than that they're quite a miss for me.... (I have macrophage cd fs/ft if someone's interested ;] )
  11. It's a good track, although honestly I do like the original more. 7/10.
  12. I have what I reckon a solid dark goa track ready. The problem is my friend's laptop refused to render it after I'd included over 100 patterns and couple dozen automation clips in it...
  13. The whole "Lets Turn On" is a masterpiece, it's hard to say a favourite.
  14. I'm glad for producers like you, and also enjoy old school a whole lot more than the new stuff. I'll keep to my word still. The good thing is I find you technically quite competent artist, so it's not the know how rather the know what that needs some improvement.
  15. The track's not bad but a tad repetitive at places. I'd add a little twist here and there.
  16. I used to mock regular full-on... those were the days ^^ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7u3tmfrBwYk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbiGV11hBpk
  17. ID1 although indeed psychedelic, sounds a bit more on the acid techno edge and I'm doubtful if you'd have success finding it on any goa release. ID2 & ID3 are both familiar but the names escape me for now. All I can tell that both, what I recall, are originally quite a bit slower. Nevertheless I'm somewhat optimistic people here are able to help you out on these two.
  18. I've never replied to this topic before but I couldn't help myself... lol! seriouzzz
  19. Very much true. It's hard to define "goambient" in the first place thou. I'm gonna skip the rules and actually post VAs here: http://www.discogs.com/Various-Goa-Trancendental-A-Psychedelic-Sojourn/release/315132 http://www.discogs.com/Various-Goa-Trancendental-2-Psychedelic-Soundscapes/release/144494 and artist albums: http://www.discogs.com/Astralasia-Pitched-Up-At-The-Edge-Of-Reality/release/103299 http://www.discogs.com/Children-Of-The-Bong-Sirius-Sounds/release/146622
  20. One DJ who's close to him said he indeed has stopped making goa and started producing hip hop. Nevertheless, not too long ago I received a remix of Induced Experience that's said to be relatively new production. And I agree he's an artist with a distinct sound - there's never too many of those. I also hope he makes a comeback.
  21. Indeed a good listen! Old school spiced psy with very nice mastering. 'Hope From the Green' is my pick here, great melody in it that's already playing in my head without asking!
