  1. ys! Got so lucky, still can't believe it... ^good stuff, not really rare thou. But this: Never thought to get it. Yeah! : D egoboost +1
  2. A record store is closing down (fins: soul'n'jazz records siina hakaniemen hallin vieressa), everything for 3 euros! Picked up some good stuff yesterday, might even visit the store today again, there are thousands of cds there. + jimi hendrix 'purple haze' 2cd set bob marley 'soul shakedown party' 2cd set
  3. psytrance related: The Flippidy Dippidy Project Funkopath OOOD Bigwigs Mandalavandalz
  4. That's just splitting hairs really. The term 'full-on' seems to suffer from such a bad connotation, some people only see it to describe the cheesy israeli branch of full-on. Full-on is, in it's widest meaning, music with a rolling bassline. The tracks here fit into that category. I would also argue it's a bit easier to explain music as 'full-on' than 'psychedelic forest trance with melodies'.

  6. Just "wow!". This is exactly the type of full-on ("hux flux" type) I've wanted to hear for so long. Imaginative, deep and with twisted melodies, the sort of you used to hear in full-on in the late 90s/early 00s (Hux Flux's Time Slices or Logic Bomb's Neighbour of the Beast pop in my head). Since I'm hardly any reviewer, my word is just an encouragement for you to try out the samples yourself and be your own judge. Verdict: nothing less than 5 stars. Best compilation in ages.
  7. Heh, similar case on 'Beyond The Infinite'. The repress only has 8 tracks (such as on the original press), they excluded the excellent Razorback track that seems to be found only on Hypnotic version.
  8. Digitalis - Repeater Excellent piece of forgotten goa, never heard anyone mention this track...
  9. Added some ambient. The prices are fair I think...
  10. I've noticed this trend. Been ages since I heard proper old school (actually it was a party that I organised myself '06). There're lot of DJs which seem care more about the year than the quality... Will organise an old school party soon again (before the year turns) here in Funland, stay tuned.
  11. Having listened to goa for so long, it's natural development to get a 'quirky', a tad narrow taste - it's simply a case of getting fond to particular soundscapes that usually only a few artists are able to deliver (or, a few artists doing the 'same thing' a bit better than the rest). So as a conclusion - I've never heard a mix that I could say to love 100%. Will mix and post here one myself in the future thou, hehe.
  12. No, that simply doesn't work as we on this forum have such an eclectic taste - it's impossible (or let's say, undesired for many) to keep the discussion to a particular style of artists/labels. What's wrong with the present style anyway?
  13. Krussedull (banana boat!) Witchcraft...which track you prefer: Magic Frequencies or Whale?
  14. We all hear music differently, there's nothing wrong in not liking a high rated artist; if you however mix your taste very passionately to your ego, what could happen is that the disliking of a popular artist becomes sort of burden - as you try to make others like the same music you do, it irritates to see differing tastes. Almost all of us try to underline our unique taste to a certain degree (what music are you listening... topic!) but heh, as long as we tolerate other tastes it's no problem. Find myself Koxbox to be truly in their own league, the attention to detail is of the highest degree I've heard, all music genres counted. None of their 90s stuff is simply programmed; so it might take longer to "get it".
  15. Don't want to piss on your taste... guess I'm doing it anyway sorry! that sort of darkpsy is the blandest type, do you really get juiced up on that? take the small nyances off, the music is just about the rolling bassline, sigh. please have a listen e. "please have a listen" sounds so cocky and teacher-ish. Forgive me father, for I have sinned... hehe, I'm tired. Still, this track's worth a few minutes, promise! http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsSxUclQrZQ&feature=related

    Asia 2001 - Psykadelia

Take Kalimba, which is really good (the only track where Asia 2001 lives up to his potential), aside, the rest of the album sounds dated. Can't agree with the cult status this album has achieved - and to continue, would only recommend this if you enjoy collecting old school and have the big classics already.

    Tandu - Multimoods

Funny. On the contrary, find these two outshining easily rest of the album. Both share epic, melancholic melodywork - giving a mental image of gods crying of the hopelessness of mankind... heart-ripping! Althou to be fair, do think both tracks are a tad too slow: usually pitch up Rodeo 7-9% and Interstealer Dawn 3-4% to make most ouf of them. Rating for both: A
  18. Bought two cds, great shape, arrived fast. Thank you mate!
  19. Yes. The answer is Malicious. Althou I even opened a topic praising this guy from heaven to earth, nobody (on this forum at least) seems to have given him a shot. I've checked many 'hyped' darkpsy artist mentioned on psynews and this guy is heaps better, no bullshit. Every track I've heard by Malicious is great, no filler. Enough talk thou... his music is free to download, check out: http://www.filestube.com/5f4d4692c0d1ea9a03e9,g/Malicious-Feast-Of-Death-EP-2008-www-psychedelia-su.html http://www.filestube.com/85f63f9f89f2fbc303ea,g/Malicious-Wonders-FairyTales-2008-CzR.html
