  1. Some IDM fans of this board surely have heard of Toytronic, the home for such mesmerizing artists as Ochre, Gimmik, Loess and so on. I personally find their style of combining sugarsweet melodies and glitchy beats a great match. Chris Cunningham as Point 7 released 'What?' after 3 years hiatus. http://www.discogs.com/Point-7-What/release/1689955 Hopefully releases would follow more constantly from now on...
  2. Excellent news. The cover looks brilliant, hopefully the music's as well.
  3. From this list, found only People Walk Funny to be a really coherent, from start to finish (exclude the OOOD one) A-class material. Guess that makes me agree with Antic's view...
  4. great choices. If may add: Hiscore - True Freedom Shakta - Spiritual Beings In Physical Bodies Cosmosis - Psychofunk BOTFB - Domestic Bliss Intriga - From Vine To Vinegar Koxbox - Colordrops
  5. Admit voting "no". Always think any psy track with dnb structure would sound better with 4-to-da-floor beat.
  6. y0. Added and removed stuff. Have a look.
  7. Thanks mate. Indeed some great music for absolute bargain price. ICP cover looked nice so decided to add it 'in the basket'.
  8. experimental: Malicious / A Feast Of Death EP, Wonders Fairytales EP M.M.C / Adrenochrome 100%, Alice In Space, Worlds ID Quite a lot of darkpsy suffers from having a linear arrangement and lack of subtlety and substance. These two (maybe Furious included) are the most out there, fun, attention to detail-type of darkpsy producers I've encountered.
  9. 3rd time lucky... nice to get some non-psytrance once in a while.
  10. ys! Got so lucky, still can't believe it... ^good stuff, not really rare thou. But this: Never thought to get it. Yeah! : D egoboost +1
  11. A record store is closing down (fins: soul'n'jazz records siina hakaniemen hallin vieressa), everything for 3 euros! Picked up some good stuff yesterday, might even visit the store today again, there are thousands of cds there. + jimi hendrix 'purple haze' 2cd set bob marley 'soul shakedown party' 2cd set
  12. psytrance related: The Flippidy Dippidy Project Funkopath OOOD Bigwigs Mandalavandalz
  13. That's just splitting hairs really. The term 'full-on' seems to suffer from such a bad connotation, some people only see it to describe the cheesy israeli branch of full-on. Full-on is, in it's widest meaning, music with a rolling bassline. The tracks here fit into that category. I would also argue it's a bit easier to explain music as 'full-on' than 'psychedelic forest trance with melodies'.
  14. Sneila / Flying Objects Always Reach The Ground / Species
  15. Just "wow!". This is exactly the type of full-on ("hux flux" type) I've wanted to hear for so long. Imaginative, deep and with twisted melodies, the sort of you used to hear in full-on in the late 90s/early 00s (Hux Flux's Time Slices or Logic Bomb's Neighbour of the Beast pop in my head). Since I'm hardly any reviewer, my word is just an encouragement for you to try out the samples yourself and be your own judge. Verdict: nothing less than 5 stars. Best compilation in ages.
  16. Heh, similar case on 'Beyond The Infinite'. The repress only has 8 tracks (such as on the original press), they excluded the excellent Razorback track that seems to be found only on Hypnotic version.
  17. (this one's for trade, didn't like it)
  18. Lots of music! Nice.
  19. Digitalis - Repeater Excellent piece of forgotten goa, never heard anyone mention this track...
  20. Added some ambient. The prices are fair I think...
  21. I've noticed this trend. Been ages since I heard proper old school (actually it was a party that I organised myself '06). There're lot of DJs which seem care more about the year than the quality... Will organise an old school party soon again (before the year turns) here in Funland, stay tuned.
  22. Teleport Prana's Cyclone or Geomantik?
  23. Having listened to goa for so long, it's natural development to get a 'quirky', a tad narrow taste - it's simply a case of getting fond to particular soundscapes that usually only a few artists are able to deliver (or, a few artists doing the 'same thing' a bit better than the rest). So as a conclusion - I've never heard a mix that I could say to love 100%. Will mix and post here one myself in the future thou, hehe.
  24. No, that simply doesn't work as we on this forum have such an eclectic taste - it's impossible (or let's say, undesired for many) to keep the discussion to a particular style of artists/labels. What's wrong with the present style anyway?
  25. Krussedull (banana boat!) Witchcraft...which track you prefer: Magic Frequencies or Whale?
