  1. Understood. Still, I'd advice you to check out http://www.idmforums.com/ you might be able to meet more likeminded people there.
  2. This is a good example of music that's not underrated per se (the contrary), but hardly discussed here as you know, it's a psytrance forum.
  3. added some goa... travelling 4 + sfx
  4. Images show here... bummer! Well, the one for 2,5 euros was travelling 4. And in the 'take 10 cds for 5e' bin one of the cds was SFX's Rainbirds.
  5. Went out to visit 2nd hand shop, first of all saw this for 2,5 euros: If that wasn't enough to make one's day... there's a bin where you can pick 10 cds for 5 euros. One of the cds lying in the bin: ...and some curiousities such as my bloody valentine, babylon zoo etc. What a great day!
  6. Hallucinogen for sure. Find most of his remixes surpassing the originals in quality.
  7. Sundance Records comes to mind. There's some really nice melodic tracks on their vibraspirit compilations.
  8. What comes to mind is Synchro's deput. People don't feel too strongly about this album but personally found it really well thought thru, full of ideas etc. It does lack melodic edge which might be a bit of a turn off for some of course. And Metal Spark's Corrosive - for similar reasons.
  9. That's a good question. Some of his early tracks are the reason I listen to goa. Going downhill is relatively usual thing to happen ain't it? The producers see smiling drug-heads dancing to their tracks no matter what they produce, as they're big names they have nothing to prove either to get gigs. You can probably count with two hands the number of early acts that are still around with a fresh approach.
  10. Stumbled upon this... http://www.discogs.com/Hive-4-C-Orchard-TO-DO-Just-Noise/release/700911 The A side 'T@o D@o' is forgettable number, but the B Side 'Just Nöise' is excellent piece of goa, lots of layers, brilliant intro, running 150 bpm... can't recommend enough really.
  11. Yes. on10 is sunwolf aka bwhale who recently got banned for violating the forum rules.
  12. bothfb have their moments... Guess 'Twin Sharkfins' makes the difference so will go for Buddhas. Transwave... Hypnorhythm or Helium?
  13. There are some names in house music you can't go wrong with... Kerri Chandler Roy Trent Larry Heard Vince Watson The Timewriter Theo Parrish Moodymann Almost everything these producers touch turns into gold.
  14. Tough one. Bypass Unit's first two albums are quite mediocre, not as good as Colorbox's "Train to..." but the 3rd one is somewhat better. Bypass Unit it is. North Central Positronics vs. Beast vs. Infernal Machine (please only answer if you've heard NCP also, thanks)
  15. I once thought Koxbox is intolerable noise...
  16. Check out Andrea Parker's Kiss My Arp. Pretty sure you'll find it good...
  17. Yeah unknown1 is "shadow dance", a really good track. Maybe Draeke gets it released one day. unknown2, wouldn't count on it being etnica. the melodywork/synth sounds are not their usual style.
  18. Rhythmystec's EP, it's quite untraditional. The quirkyness works for me. Genetic's Transmission vs. The Overlords' God's Eye On Goa
  19. Loud, the first album is good. Phreaky vs Crop Circles
  20. Yes, and the writing style is similar. Would be surprised if it wasn't him.
  21. Nuage D'Encens on Technologic belongs in personal top-5 psytracks. He made some of the most furious psytrance to date back in the days... Definitely keeping fingers crossed DAT Records could eventually release a couple old unrsld tracks by him.
  22. The avatar pic is just my humour nothing else - it's the artist 'Eskimo'. There is of course a slight psychological factor one's avatar creates on a forum - yet it's illogal to belittle my opinion just because you find my avatar "superficial" or "ignorant". Avatars and opinions about music are two different things, period. It's not too uncommon when one finds a completely differing opinion to his own, he might take it on a personal level and get offended. This seems to be the case here. Let that be the last time you call me names, it's was close I didn't report you.
  23. Checked out one MAN track on youtube. It was harshly put average, althou that album cover is amazing I'm gonna take 'Know Thyself' off the wantlist. Here's a nice find: http://www.discogs.com/Mustapha-Beat-Ali-P.../release/214760 Who is/are Mustapha Beat remains unknown, the three tracks on their only vinyl are quite enjoyable affair nevertheless. One of them is a sublime downtempo number (Mustapha Theme) and the other two are dark, sweaty experimental night time psytrance. The other one of the uptempo tracks even has that "rolling" KBBB, if I'd ever do a darkpsy set this could serve as an opener indeed.
  24. Heh, it's all psytrance but that's where the similarities end...
