  1. Okay let's add some old school (some of these might've been added already but...) Global Communication - Pentamerous Metamorphosis Sun Electric - 30.7.94 Stevie Be-Zet - Archaic Modulation Being - Tides Being - Selected Transmissions/Point Two Henrik B - Kryoniks Starseed Transmission - Metamorphic Illumination Reload - A Collection Of Short Stories Om - Instant Enlightenment (Deep Trance Ambient Experience) Move D - Kunststoff Reagenz - Reagenz John Beltran - Ten Days Of Blue Dilate - Octagon Well, enough is enough.
  2. UX - Life Support Technology MASSIVE.
  3. Seems you like to stick to your right/wrong delusion. The definition of revolutionary you gave, that we can agree on; and I.M. fills the criteria by a long shot, I'm merely one of the many with this opinion. How one perceives sound is virtually impossible to perfectly transform into words - first of all they're two different things, music and words. Secondly, yours truly is one of those people who lack the ability, or the vocabulary, to write in english about the sensation CM gives. Elysium gave a list of artists he thinks are the ones I.M. copied - I could always tell apart GNOTR track and I.M. track, or any other artist's work you compare to I.M's CM. But it's getting so personal now... the answer you're ultimately looking for is - music is always personally perceived, and the perception varies from an individual to another. What there's left to do is realize this, get little humility on your character and 'listen and let listen'. Since you asked, yes I know goa by heart, take some odd few releases here and there aside.
  4. You seem to fail to grasp the idea this is not a right/wrong discussion in the first place. It's up to individual's own mind to give or not to give an album 'revolutionary/pioneer' status; a large number of people find CM to be a stand-out release and certainly amongst the classics, no need to be bitter about it just because your perception differs.
  5. To measure intelligence - would be hard if not impossible, not only because we simply lack devices to give exact results (let's say you make a test and answer certain questions - the only thing this test factually tells is whether you can answer the questions. All further conclusions are assumptions of some sort.) and secondly, because intelligence is such an open field: there's social, mathematical etc. types. Mathematic skills might be the easiest to measure, yet something such as a 'good person', can you give more than an opinion about it? That smiley there might be a hint of you not being all serious, hopefully so. Making such harsh a claim as all BS listeners (sorry for the pun ) being stupid - is plain and simple, a bit rude. Cherish your taste by all means, but being a tad sensitive for people with different preferences to music is not really too much to ask, no?
  6. Curious to read such a bold statement as I.M. copying former pioneer artists. Taste and music, they're often hard to discuss as it's clear all of us, we perceive sounds in a unique way. Guess if you want to be in some way factual about it; one could provide a list of technical gear all the mentioned artists have used. Based on own hearing, would put my money on I.M. having quite a different setup. You know there's a good way of telling an original artist: You hear a random track by them/him and you can say - aha! It's x. Etnica (early), Hallucinogen, I.M. - they all have very identifiable sound you can instantly spot and not confuse with other artists.
  7. Cosmic Delusion - Explorin Yourself nice finnish full-on...
  8. how you like it? Personally I find his Balance 009 to be vastly overrated (not worth the excellent Discogs rating). that reminds me, (you too) should check out balance 014 by Joris Voorn, lots of good words have been said about it.
  9. Yes, it's hard to explain... It must be the sense of speed and the beatiful scenery that make it happen. Watching a beautiful sky while listening to something such as AP's Mahadeva, feels like God itself visits my soul...
  10. Lots of old school goa makes me cry... happens while I'm cycling or stoned, hehe.
  11. ;-) I find that pose of Eskimo so ridiculous I had to put it as my avatar.
  12. #1 Martin Haidinger (Gimmik, Abfahrt Hinwil etc.) - no questions asked, he's the best writer of melodies I've heard. #2 Bola - all his cds are excellent, there's a reason a lot of people mentioned the infamous "Bolaman". #3 7th Plain - Luke Slater moniker, only two albums under his belt if memory stands correct. "The 4 Cornered Room" is one of my all time fav'es. Hesitating to mention AFX, AE or Plaid... they've been mentioned earlier, that's one reason. Secondly, so much fillers have been released by these artists; they'd overall receive "average" rating from my part.
  13. All dudes and dudettes, I'm giving you 4-5 items asking for one cd in return (from your collection, or a mid priced cd on discogs). There's a lot of potentially likeable music on my tradelist if you have a varied taste, I've just listened them enough and the time has come to give them to someone else.
  14. Heh. Althou Trans-Lucid's self titled is not the best goa release out there I do find it to have a couple tracks worth hearing. But Rino nailed the point - it's not really worth the big money, but if you're able to find it on an auction site for a low starting bid... you could always invest a couple euros on it.
  15. Dostojevski and Russian literature of 19th century in general...
  16. Using discogs might be helpful... Etnica: Juggeling Alchemists Under The Black Light (1995) Alien Protein (1996) Equator (1998) Pleiadians: IFO (1997) Family Of Light (1999) These are the "main" releases, or if I may put it the other way - the ones you should get.
  17. That must be my #1 interest when it comes to old school goa I've not heard.... maybe one day I'll hear it.
  18. Monolake / Static Excellent 'isolated in space' kinda dub techno...
  19. Basilisk, that's a long list you got there. Legal Mission / Forcing Tomorrow - If you take it as a trance release it's quite ok. The tracks are simple in their structure, dated in a way of course... not bad thou. You will find at least one Legal Mission track on youtube. Brainwasher / Cosmos EP - Had it and listened perhaps once. It's simply put average/below average acid (goa) trance that lacks imagination and talent.
  20. I miss the old freestyle forum, pants and Feathers...
  21. That album lacks quite a bit in well, every area. It's not as good as Deviant Electronics, the rating on Discogs is justified. "Church of Tangent" is a hidden gem thou, it has excellent melodies and good use of acid, would do well as an old school set opener I reckon...
  22. cool underground future jazz. found on library...
  23. I disagree with the claim. First of all, it's actually pleasing to hear such an improved production quality on new tracks. Secondly, it's rubbish to claim there wouldn't be artists out there these days with an original sound - there are, and they do their thing well. Just a little list of modern goa that's up there with any older classics: Filteria / Birds Lingua Franca Bit-Head / Stressed Out Agneton / Eyes Wide Open Armageddance / Another Reality Astrancer / Dzog Chen Intriga / Stupify New Born / Purity ...and if you dislike all of that, we prolly should go to different parties lol.
  24. The label Raster Noton might have something to fit your needs...
