  1. You do? I'm planning on buying it eventually. At the moment I have the albums Pornography and Wish. I like both very much. np: FUSE / Dimension Intrusion
  2. The Cure's Pornography...
  3. Petar Dundov / Escapements Went straight to my top-10 techno releases ever. Amazing.
  4. Mayday / Wiggan (re-mix)
  5. The songwriting on Daze is light years better than on the first two. My choice is obvious...
  6. I'm listening to my etnica cds. Etnica / Nice Toy
  7. Merr0w's debut is a bit uneven. The songwriting on many tracks feels a bit empty. 'Poseidon's Lullaby' is the best track and offers great melodies, the other tracks have hard time giving it a challenge, althou 'Mind Blowing' and perhaps 'Born Underwater' would also be acceptable choices in a goa set. I could say - if you buy this cd you probably won't regret it. There's enough good to validate a purchase. I'm giving it an 'ok/quite good' mark.
  8. I wish I had more music like this, crosses many genres. Every track it thought thru and deep sounding. What a luck, got it for free actually when I bought Monolake's Hongkong...
  9. I also have 'Into Deep' and love it. How does it compare to his other cds under LSG moniker?
  10. deleted as the topic starter wished so...
  11. I pleasantly see no answers to this topic, if the other option is to have nonsense answers such as this. I'm surprised our darkpsy gang of pienews hasn't replied at all. Of course, it takes time to download the tracks and form an opinion, I see that...
  12. Proton / Get Concious, Find Out, Search Deep Just discovered this old track. Has nice melodies, a bit short maybe. Arguably better than the two other tracks on brainfusion vinyl.
  13. I know little about this producer. I found out he's Russian and born in 1989. (perhaps Basilisk could provide more info such as a name or myspace link?) This topic could be interpret as a sequel to my topics about the artists M.M.C. and Oxezy, which to me present modern psytrance made well. Well those topics didn't spur much conversation but who's to blame? I neither check out all the recommended artists you people tell me about, unless some youtube video or such provided. And of course, psynews is sort of "old school". I can't give you youtube video but a few legal download links. http://www.bleepblop.co.uk/ (check downloads, you'll find his feast of death ep there) http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/telepathik-nonsense/ I haven't felt this excited about an artist in a long time. I feel like I should share this discovery here, since a lot of people here also like night time psytrance. My other motive is to give an answer to those who always bad mouth darkpsy genre. I was once exactly like that (and still dislike most darkpsy with passion) and perfectly understand why there's so little good to say about fart fx horse ride bassline for 8 mins type of music. But Malicious. He's rhythmic and melodic, and is able to stuff in such a variety of sound timbre. He shows so much effort and detail in his tracks I don't know what to say. This is the modern answer I've been waiting to Cosmosis' Synergy. I feel artists like him deserve the attention. Lot of average darkpsy producers are currently in the spotlight and it doesn't help this genre to evolve forward. Listen to him, and share with your friends if you happen to like... cheers!
  14. Both of your examples have very different cover to this no? O/D has red canvas with magnificent font on it. They could've left out the "tyre" which has fire explosion in it, thou. UX on the other has bubbles floating above river that runs thru canyon. Both are quite simple and easy on the eye. I like them too. Alternative colours on the other hand has horrific frames and you can't make your mind what it is there in the middle. If it was some glitch or industrial album in the menu here then I'd understand better...
  15. This guy stole my thoughts, call the cops! Indoor parties, I can hardly enjoy them for some reason. Although a few illegal squat parties I attended have been great. Dancing in the middle of forest is of course an experience I wish you all to witness.
  16. yeah... I would never guess it's a goa compilation by looking the cover.
  17. I've noticed thru browsing discogs, that there are actually a lot of american ambient producers. Most of them release limited quantity releases (often by themselves) so only a small circle of people are aware of their music. And that they're not acquaintant with the psyscene makes finding them even a harder task. My post might be slightly redundant as I'm unable to provide you any certain names; I've read of many but didn't have interest in listening to their music, so I'm in no position to give recommendations in this area.
  18. I like a few things in their catalog. Heard some of the fahrenheit compilations. Pretty good tracks on them. Regarding artist albums, I've heard Solar Fields / Blue Moon Station, Asura / Code Eternity and HUVA Network / Distances which were well produced, but lacked in the idea department. I've not found new interest in checking their recent releases. I've formed a picture their releases are generally more of a wallpaper (background) type of ambient I rarely enjoy listening.
  19. professor kazkaz / algorhythms this is awesome idm album. check it out if you're a fan of this style...
  20. There must be other ways to pay the surgeon... No but, sad to see you have to sell your hallucinogenics away. Good luck with the sales!

    GAS

Gas.... Well, I listen to Gas when I don't really want to listen to music, but still like to play something. I can't remember anything from a Gas track after it's finished. Perhaps it's part of the charm... If you're into deeeep music I recommend listening to Gas.
  23. A good and relevant question. There has to be a "catch" that makes masses like it, and it has to be relatively simple to produce, so that it could be produced in high quantities thus making it possible for this style to gain larger success. My prediction: dubstep influenced, irregular basslines (yet regular bass kick), heavy on reverb, tape noise dark psytrance.
