is this a good tracklist you ask? I would say no - it's way too shiva shidapu oriented. I bet the crowd would like some diversity.

would you consider this good? I went to the library today. They have LOADS of electronica cds in the shelf. I saw Ellen Allien's thrills so I decided to pick it up. Man it was bad! Very monotone and uninspired for my taste.... I'm listening to Luke Slater's Freek Funk, track 1. One of the cds I found at the library. What a sexy tune!

I'm not doing anything by your expense. You only get offended by my opinions if you decide to. It's your own choice. It's matter of opinion to see this release as minimal/not minimal. You can and should express your opinions as you wish. I'm doing the exact same thing. The only difference is, you want to get offended by different opinion and thus defend your views and reject mine. For me it's just influencing the public in the direction of my views. As I already said, we're both right as there is no wrong or right to this. hihi

whow, whii, yai, what a solid mix! <3 How often you feel dissapointed when the mixing is overall well made, but the tunes are quite average? (james holden 005, michael mayer's immer-series etc!) Gaysatan, congrats. This is the best tracklist ever I've had the pleasure to hear in one mix. Not a single bad track choice. I really enjoyed how the mix flowed from housier realms to more techno/electro field. I'm gonna burn this on cd fo'shu. :posford: If you have time please drop another mix here, little less than 80 minutes mark if possible. ;-]

I listened few of the samples you gave. They sounded total crap. So perhaps it isn't the best thing to recommend you anything but... AMD - big fish Matenda - Natural Development Roman Rai - Tokyo Vibrasphere - Exploring the Tributaries perhaps a little older album... Ololiuqui - Valves (check out saikosounds sample of "pantograph". I think it's a smashing tune!) P's

hah Quite strong words there Lassie. Sounds like you're able to get inside Billy's head then as you know what his motives for the album were. Yes as you said, it's not minimal as I seem to think minimal. Neither it is minimal in the sense you'd mark in discogs as "minimal" either. But hey what's prog what's minimal? As many _interpretations_ (hard word to type!) as there are listeners. You're right saying it's minimal. I'm also right saying it's not. I simply try to influence the general consensus towards this album accordingly to my views. I think it's an album not to be missed. "minimal" seems to have bad echo these days and I wouldn't like that to be the reason for somebody not checking this album out!

seems like our interpration of minimal trance is different then. I suggest checking out stuff like "shiva chandra - gecko" to hear what minimal to me sounds like. althou melodies on this one are rather dry and not that obvious and fluffy, they're still there. that's why I couldn't go saying this is minimal trance. and that's not all: there's so much fx trickery thrown around on this album it only starts to open up after several listenings, in my case at least. "synergy" was a long-time winner of his productions for me - but after listening to both albums countless of times this one took the advantage. and for progressive - something like zenon, iboga and tribal vision would be my choice. this album... it's one sweet mothafuckin psy-album. no less, prolly more.

I disagree. The album has _loads_ of melodies. He made em more "dry" so it may sound minimal in that sense - but actually this album is quite the opposite.

Only BP Empire which is the best album for me. e. BP Empire off, Classical Mushroom in...

gotta admit: there are many tracks here I haven't heard. You got me curious! Looking forward to hear bamboo mix of kailash track. the original is top corker. e. gotta give it to you misto: your mixing is pretty much flawless! I honestly wasn't able to pinpoint the transitions between tracks. I'm more than looking forward your next one. You know why? Because most of the tracks didn't deliver. Tracks 1-7 didn't really give me the rush. AP fortunately changed the direction. I absolutely _adore_ how you mixed kailash and AP. the melodies really fitted together well. The Kailash tune surely isn't the most easy track to mix. All the way till the end the tracks deliver. Classic Psychaos and Hallusimon always make me nod my head. If I could suggest something... make a mix rocking at steady 145-146 bpm. boom shakala! an all that...

"I am a freak" sounds like it really shouldn't be on the next album as 1) the sample on it starts to irritate the morning coffee out of you after few listens. 2) it's more Benji than Simon. Benji should just do the morning coffee for Simon and collect the undeserved credit, that's all. Anyone had the feeling I'm drinking my morning coffee right now? this "morning coffee" sample really starts to irritate you after a while doesn't it!

Not too good, pales compared to, let's say Outolintu or Haltya deputs. There are too many uninspired moments on the album, where they repeat the same structure over and over.
