seems interesting. I'll drop you a comment after I've finished listening.

I listened few of the samples you gave. They sounded total crap. So perhaps it isn't the best thing to recommend you anything but... AMD - big fish Matenda - Natural Development Roman Rai - Tokyo Vibrasphere - Exploring the Tributaries perhaps a little older album... Ololiuqui - Valves (check out saikosounds sample of "pantograph". I think it's a smashing tune!) P's

hah Quite strong words there Lassie. Sounds like you're able to get inside Billy's head then as you know what his motives for the album were. Yes as you said, it's not minimal as I seem to think minimal. Neither it is minimal in the sense you'd mark in discogs as "minimal" either. But hey what's prog what's minimal? As many _interpretations_ (hard word to type!) as there are listeners. You're right saying it's minimal. I'm also right saying it's not. I simply try to influence the general consensus towards this album accordingly to my views. I think it's an album not to be missed. "minimal" seems to have bad echo these days and I wouldn't like that to be the reason for somebody not checking this album out!

seems like our interpration of minimal trance is different then. I suggest checking out stuff like "shiva chandra - gecko" to hear what minimal to me sounds like. althou melodies on this one are rather dry and not that obvious and fluffy, they're still there. that's why I couldn't go saying this is minimal trance. and that's not all: there's so much fx trickery thrown around on this album it only starts to open up after several listenings, in my case at least. "synergy" was a long-time winner of his productions for me - but after listening to both albums countless of times this one took the advantage. and for progressive - something like zenon, iboga and tribal vision would be my choice. this album... it's one sweet mothafuckin psy-album. no less, prolly more.

I disagree. The album has _loads_ of melodies. He made em more "dry" so it may sound minimal in that sense - but actually this album is quite the opposite.

Only BP Empire which is the best album for me. e. BP Empire off, Classical Mushroom in... -
gotta admit: there are many tracks here I haven't heard. You got me curious! Looking forward to hear bamboo mix of kailash track. the original is top corker. e. gotta give it to you misto: your mixing is pretty much flawless! I honestly wasn't able to pinpoint the transitions between tracks. I'm more than looking forward your next one. You know why? Because most of the tracks didn't deliver. Tracks 1-7 didn't really give me the rush. AP fortunately changed the direction. I absolutely _adore_ how you mixed kailash and AP. the melodies really fitted together well. The Kailash tune surely isn't the most easy track to mix. All the way till the end the tracks deliver. Classic Psychaos and Hallusimon always make me nod my head. If I could suggest something... make a mix rocking at steady 145-146 bpm. boom shakala! an all that...

Richie Hawtin - DE9 | Closer To The Edit "After recording, sampling, cutting, and splicing over 100 tracks down into their basic components, I ended up with a collection of over 300 loops, ranging in length from 1 note to 4 bars. I then started to recreate and reinterpret each track, putting the pieces back together as if an audio jigsaw puzzle - using effects and edits as the glue in between each piece. This 53 minute piece, consisting of over 70 tracks and 31 ID points" & Scion - Arrange And Process Basic Channel Tracks goa-mix-cds are usually not that good to my ears...

The official new Younger Brother album support group
Oopie replied to Goa Bill's topic in General Psytrance
"I am a freak" sounds like it really shouldn't be on the next album as 1) the sample on it starts to irritate the morning coffee out of you after few listens. 2) it's more Benji than Simon. Benji should just do the morning coffee for Simon and collect the undeserved credit, that's all. Anyone had the feeling I'm drinking my morning coffee right now? this "morning coffee" sample really starts to irritate you after a while doesn't it! -
The Most Influential Psytrance Songs of All Time

for suomi saundi, you have to go all the way back to '96. Flippin' Bixies - Sörkkä Sonic http://www.discogs.com/release/815450 -
where's your goggles man? pinned appreciation topic hope that helps. now, get on with the program. first on your list: to the barber shop to get curly hair.

Not too good, pales compared to, let's say Outolintu or Haltya deputs. There are too many uninspired moments on the album, where they repeat the same structure over and over.

This must be the progressive dance album I've ever had the pleasure to hear. :) Although the deput "Lime Structure" left me quite cold, I wanted to check this one out. After all, Manzazilla was really solid tune on that one so I knew they had potential. How this album progresses is really exceptional. It starts with 3 chilly house tunes. Erosion must be the best track of the year 2007. Such melodies you rarely hear. It starts with dubby beats and at the second half of the album it really peaks into heavenly heights with enormous trancey melodies. You need to hear this. Classic material already. Then follows few electro-house tunes. The electro vibe is unique with its lightness. It's not too heavy on the ears. But that's only part of the charm. The fat beats and background echos give enormous depth to the tracks. Well done Vibrasphere boys! The closing chill-out tracks are also worth your while. Only little flaw is on the "mountain lake" track. It has enormous potential to even outshine "Erosion" with its delicate piano strings. I was hoping them to push the melody that starts even further (maybe key-change) but it awkwardly ends. Half baked track that could've been so much. Too bad. Still, one of the highlights for this year. Varied interesting journey to housier side of trance and electro. 9/10 and recommended! ^_o

Oldschool Goa trance mix: Welcome to Goa week 1
Oopie replied to Darkarbiter's topic in DJ Promotion
the mixing wasn't too great, althou I enjoyed most of the tracks. keep it coming -
I must admit my bad taste and say 'dance of the cosmic serpent' is one of the worst tracks on the album. there's only one melodic structure, very average and unimaginative, repeated over and over and over again, yai! synth fx - goes down in scale - comes up in scale. where do I find a piece of smelly cheddar when I need one? there are some good tracks here too, no doubt. the following 'the other side' for example has catched my interest well this far. much more imagination in those cosmosis-trademark quirks and has quite catchy melodies too dare I say.

is it the lack of coffee or am I reading you're willing to give away your precious? utter blasphemy no worries man, I'll twist the old testament in my mailbox soon, promise.

are you using intense visitation from the vinyl or from goa gil's mix cd?

The own/want ratio on Discogs shows an approx. of 5/1. Almost 250 members have it. The album has been released on 4 different labels. I recall hearing the CID-press was 25000 copies. Discogs prices in many cases are very greedy, like just now.

these would be obvious choices but I don't own the albums. ;< Now you have it, I came out of the closet. TLD is on it's way to my " collection top-5" thou, and Twisted should be easy to pick.
