Right now in fact. Dark roast is the way to fly...

@antic: Maybe my new album suits your criteria? On topic - The music I'd like to hear doesn't exist lol. It's hard to define my thoughts clearly, but I'll try. You know, not too many producers are keen on exploring the very edge of extremely psychedelic/complex psytrance. Majority, at least of those I've heard, fail in having a strong production composition-wise. There's many producers I admire but who's truly pushing the envelope from the psychedelic aspect? The outcome for far too many artists is often messy/random. When I think about a producer trying to do the most detailed, microscopic, twisted mindf--- psytrance you know what comes to my mind? First off, hard to do. Secondly, not media-sexy. Imagine doing something that takes years to master and pleases a small bunch of freaks. Hah! Gotta be passionate no way around it. Anyway back to explain my first sentence - there's an extra mile to take but nobody's walking it. There's so much more to the possibilities of psychedelic trance that hasn't yet existed. I'm probably waiting for the year 2030 you know? Or perhaps my next album... who knows!

Well thanks! To be perfectly honest, I've kinda lost my edge in DJing (I've been focusing on producing for a while now) and have to use a couple of days to get it right again. I recently tried to record a special mix and it was eh... a bit trainwreck-ish. I do have two theme mixes in my mind. Will post them here as soon as possible!

I couldn't keep this mix on soundcloud - but I've finally up'd it on youtube if you'd still like to hear it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hGGY7_KKvY&feature=youtu.be download: https://we.tl/mwWi3o9Nfd

An attempt at goa ;) (2 minutes so far)

Disagree. I find the melody near the end very well executed. RC: I think you could take that last melody and tweak around with couple notes (perhaps a poly melody with another vst) to take it even "further"? All in all it's a good effort! You're not overloading the track with nonsensical melodies and what not. Eager to wait for the finished product... -
I've just listened the album. Don't feel like saying much about the music itself but there's something from a producer's point of view that disturbs me here. The mastering is okay/good. It's not unbearably loud and has some dynamics. The other thing, that's more of a choice in how to produce and mix your tracks, is, apart from the track with Menkalian, uneasy percussions. Many of the tracks have disturbingly high volume on high hats, so that open hat almost drowns underneath (track three for example). When high hat is all you hear, it sounds like a detached element and lacks a proper dialogue with the actual music. Also, can't help to notice, there absolutely no groove in high hats. With groove I mean some more thought out patterns than the constant "zik-zik-zik-zik", that seems to go with almost no pause during the tracks. When I listened the music at high volume, the percussions *kinda worked* meaning it's less noticeable. But at low volume it takes all my focus off the the music and I gotta say, for me personally, the album wasn't a great listening experience.

It's techno not psytrance.

Superb! I could even say it's... *resist the bad joke temptation*

These for sure! Add Taigan Sunset and Kiriyama to that list. Miranda the goa queen is an obvious mention too.
-
Psychedelic Visions series is my personal favourite. The three volumes really capture what each label was about and have seriously done smashing job in choosing the right tracks.
-
47:30 familiar track! It's probably The Visitors or something else from Psy-Harmonics of that period.

cheapest prices on Discogs for everything I sell...

Not sure about that buddy. -
Not so much a fan of his goa stuff, bit a bulk producer really, better than average for sure but kinda misses that last step. Maybe the songs are produced too hastily. The tracks I enjoyed the most were under his Bit-Head moniker. Couple really good chiptune influenced tracks on that album!

Hi! Before making the album 'Shantimatter' I took a shot at remixing the iconic Sundown by The Overlords. Mastered by Ian Ion. Here's the link:

So you don't like the "odd numbers" then. Mods please could you please be kind and add the album title to the description as well?

One of my all-time favourites! -
Thanks for reviewing the album bhai. I enjoyed reading it. Just wanted to mention for great melodic forest music you ought to check out also Ianuaria (you probably have) and a bit more unknown name Taigan Sunset (and the sideproject Time For Slime).

Quoted for being very close to my personal perception.

Oh yes. We had a "freezone" forum do you guys remember? It was great and informative. One of the only places on the internet, that I can think of, where I could ask tips to buy a rofl copter.
