Its not the tool you are using, its the fool thats using it that matters -
Shaft was chosen and voted on by all the moderators/admins on the forum (I personally however, could never have imagined anyone better at this very moment) I am sure that he will do a great job here, and helping us out a lot with all the spam
-
Hi People, as you know Insejn left the moderation team, and we have been looking for a replacement. It didnt take long to agree that Shaft is the very candidate we are looking for. Young, diffrent thinking, outgoing and smart, this will be a very good asset to our team! Welcome to the Moderation team Shaft!! Nemo

I didnt say there is something wrong with Minimal, but sandman was clearly never Goa trance... So it's perfectly ok for all of them to sound the same ? thats a bit contradictious of you to say so
-
oh, I have that address too! (Same thing happened to me, with the same person)
-
so its perfectly ok, for artists to stagnate in the old sound!?
-
its sandmans fault that we have minimal now

Infected Mushroom with the Orange Mobile Network
NEMO.BOFH replied to advance's topic in General Psytrance
So, we have all concluded that officially, IM are no longer a PSY artist, but has gone commercial. Of course, we all dont like it, but whenever they do something, they get attention like hell from all the dislikers Funny that is, isnt it? -
Hmmm... I love Cubase, I have hated it from times to times, but then I start using something else, and just get back to Cubase again... so there isnt really something out there that beats it for me. Some say Logic, but Logic for PC's doesnt exist anymore (well it does, but version 5.3 or something only). Another one, that I bought is Ableton, I like it a lot actually, but I doubt I will use it for Production, I will use it for my new Live setup. I will do all the dirty work in Cubase. But then again, I am not very familiar with Ableton yet, ot make such statement just yet. I like the feel of it though! Sonar, I used it for a week, and then I dissed it, didnt do it for me, but I am sure that its a good program. Tracktion, well, didnt like it at all. Dissed it after 2 days. Fruityloops, Feels like a plastic toy, couldnt get into it, so I dissed that too. I have however heard very good songs made in Fruity, so its just because I dont like the way it works, rather than to say that its a crap program. Taste eh? At the end of the day mate, try them all out, give them a week each, and then decide which one you got the most productive with. I mean, it might be that you install Ableton, and you never go away from it, because it just appeals to you very much. I know, I know, I have changed my mind about Sequencers a lot... before I wouldnt even discuss it with my stubborn head, but I have learnt a lot the last year, and that is, that everything when it comes to making music is sooooo individual, and its not the program that makes music for you, its the brain that controls the program!

You are right, I am giving up

What music are you listening to right now?

Unreleased Killarghs by Sound Surgeon! After that Unreleased Killargh from Mikey My man (Mike A) -
Yeah, I would say you can. I have created a very energetic track in 152 BPM, but merely only because the breakbeats that I used sounded better that fast. When I put the 4/4 beat on top, it is fucking swinging as well. I will most likely play it as a last track in my live though hehehe

Moderator Note. Posts merged from another topic to this one, and the offtopic set to invisible. Regards, Nemo

Use Google.com, it works very good

So, whats the problem? Cant move on in life? Produce something that is GOA then and stop bitching about the scene. Bitching, but not doing something about it, is like wanking and stopping JUST BEFORE you cum, and then complain that you didnt have an orgasm. Full on this, full on that... progressive this progressive that... SO WHAT?! I mean, yeah, you can complain, but be constructive F.F.S.

no, I was looking for a good debate actually. because its a hot and very interessting topic, and we rarely have these topics here on psynews (well the topics of my taste, im not saying that we dont have good debates period...)
-
Yeah, but this is exactly what I am talking about: you are a dj ,you know how the crowd works! i might know how a crowd works, but i dont play things to please a crowd that only likes tiesto for instance. then I have been misbooked, you understand what I mean? and to be honest, all of my friends dig very deep to find that special sound. it was the generalisation that got to me snowball. sorry if you got offended in any way. and I think I will move the offtopic threads to another thread about popularity, or will you do it moni? (I wouldnt mind if you do!)
-
Putting it that way, I of course need to agree to some extent Maybe its because im 32, been a dj since 1992, and dont follow the hype, and never have. I dont know people really either that follow the hype, so to me its natural... Wise words Krell, as always!
