  1. Oh wow, I am listening to some absolutely fabolous Lo Fi.... Marc Moulin - Placebo Sessions 71-74
  2. see, this is what I mean, that an artist shouldnt be doing. did you see me reacting like that over reger basically slagging down 6 out of 8 tracks that i posted? No, I took it as a constructive critic.... i dont care what reger is, if he is a producer or not, he has ears, and he is a potential fan of the musik.... right? And at the end of the day, its not the artists that will like your music, its the listeners at home, or at the parties. So, what on EARTH does it matter if Delirium makes music, or knows what a maximizer is!? And you make assumptions that potentially wrong, and he MIGHT be just the worst studio guru in Finland.... in that case you made yourself look even more... well you know the word that I was gonna use there... Radi, you got to be able to take a critic, otherwise your career is over before it even started i am affraid... You know I slagged a top notch producer off bigtime one time... I told him how much I disliked everything in his track.... and you know how he reacted? "What would you have done diffrently then?" and we had a super nice conversation...

  5. [CINOFACT] another fact, that is not true. kvr is a very professional forum, however many threads have been deleted or set invisible entirely there. joomlaforge has a forum, where entire useless threads have been deleted or set completely invisible. same goes for many many other forums, that are way bigger than any forum you have ever been on. [/CINOFACT]
  6. now, now, you dont wanna go there bruva!
  7. So, here is the deal: You make a track out of the following tools, and post it here. A selected group of people will then vote on the best track or something. That to be discussed still: You can use: Synths: http://www.geocities.jp/daichi1969/softsynth/synth1v107.zip Percussion packs: http://www.nanorecords.co.uk/uploaded_file...-packs/kit1.zip http://www.nanorecords.co.uk/uploaded_file...-packs/kit2.zip ....using the drum sampler of your choice, and/or maybe for flavor add this freeware sampler http://www.discodsp.com/highlife/ Effects: http://www.kjaerhusaudio.com/classic-series.php Happy producing!
  8. it was not a threat, it was a promise.
  9. the is very constructive, and will for sure make many people very happy, will also not cause any flaming from any other member... not at all. I will open up the thread. The moment it gets into a flamewar, it will be closed, and deleted.
  10. im listening to chill out that I might play on my set on saturday....
  11. Reger, Charlie, would you like the post to be opened again, so you can post your views, or is it just because its locked that you want to complain? I will open up the thread again, if you seriously want to contribute with something creative in that thread. Actually, ANYONE tell me that they want to contribute constructively in the thread, and I will open it up again....
  12. Take away the Mp3... its irellevant, its going to dissapear from the market as well pretty soon. I would never buy anything else than FLAC or WAV (or any other lossless format), and I would never pay more than 1 euro per track. I wouldnt have the guts to take more than ONE euro, if we sold it ourselfs....
  13. There was no option for Vinyl+CD+Downloads I would like to see a future, where people can have their own little private cd press at home, and can get any tune they like from the internet. The quality will be the same as on CD, as it IS a cd when you have printed it. Now, we all know that cds get worn out, they get old, they get scratched, and this is why I dont take originals with me anymore to gigs. I burn copies... however, if you have it as a WAV or lets say a FLAC, you can burn as many copies as you want, if it fucks up on you. Where as when you didnt make an emidiate copy of your CD when you bought it, you will be fucked, if it should break the first week you have it.... Having a good sense of backups is of course needed, when you are dealing with a downloadable format.... Anyways, I prefer downloads and vinyls over cd. CD will be replaced no matter if we want it or not, its not like its the best invention evargh... look at the VHS So, lets see what the future holds for us, but my guess is, that labels that stay conservative, will eventually just disappear....
  14. i do feel so clueless now, and I had the same reaction as you....
  15. i think that calling someone an Ignorant Imbecile is a very rude thing to say to someone, its a very hard insult. You could have done that in another way I believe, and I hope it teaches you to chose your wording right the next time. It is MY opinion that your track is not very well mastered, and you have to be able to take that critizism. As an artist, you will have to take all kinds of critizism, and you failed on your first attempt. I dont think that Colin for instance would chose such wording when getting bad words for his work, and neither do I think that Hallucinogen would do. Why was it badly mastered? The kickdrum is none existant on my monitors, it loses drive because of that, the hihats drown a bit as well, and the eq'ing on some of the synths has to be done. If you would have asked me nicely what is so bad about it, I would have explained directly, and no harm would have been done... And I dont think that I am better than you, I think that you need more practice that is all, but totally uncalled for, calling someone an ignorant imbecile, is not on.
  16. am I now? cant take critics? even if this was made by simon posford (which it might, I cant remember all his frikkin tracks) I would say that its not so very good mastered.... and you know what, I think you deserve a warning for this totally uncalled for action...
  17. no i must not, because actually it sounds very bad.... sorry man
  18. i am not such a big fan of this style... but I can hear that you are going somewhere with this... you need to work on that bassdrum though, and also on the rest of the percussion... otherwise... keep on working, you will get there
