Its not about not liking it, i just dont get the music. You know, I will feel like my dad when I say the following, once he said this about techno "It all just sounds the same". Not live, but plenty of djs and in forests as well. Still didnt get it. I dont get whats so attractive about it. What makes people dance to it? I just dont get it. I mean, I can see what gets people going when they listen to cheesy poofs, but this genre, no sir, i dont understand This is not negative though, I listen to some of it, just to hear the production, they have sometimes very cool ideas, that can be deployed in other genres

Hmmm where to begin... Ok, First of all, forest trance does not exist, nor does forest psy or whatever. Just because the morepart of the Swedish/Finish forest parties play a certain genre on Forest parties, doesnt make it a genre. I mean, should we start calling full on GOA, just because they happened to play it there last season!? I hope you understand what I mean, because my definition of forest music, is totally NOT strange Finish music. So for me Forest trance would be.... gedit? Cinos, the best parties that i have ever been to have been in a forest. Forests are very psychedelic, and dancing in one, to your favorite music, can be a very cool experience, I suggest you try it I can point out some parties in Sweden next year that will probably play more oldschool type of psy. So, progressive.. yeah boring you say (noone in particular). Let me quote what someone on a review site said about the new Echotek "Slowed down full on, is not progressive, its slowed down full on". It seems to me that Israel is doing something to the genre which once was full with rhythm, soul and spirit. They take it their direction and make their version of it. Right or Wrong? Well, neither, let them do whatever they want! Good artists will remain good artists, so I am looking forward what some of the good artists will have in store for us next year! But in the end it all comes down to taste, and thank good I have a very wide taste in music, and one of my genres will always release one good record a month!

I dont get Finnish Psy at all. I liked ONE Texas Faggot track, and the rest I cant listen to. One thing I dont get either, is Schlabbaduerst stuff... Its not that its bad music, I just dont get it. So dont get me wrong here, I can hear that there is a lot of brains behind it.... What subgenre or type of psy do you not understand?

well, goatrance back then was very mixed... you have for instance project2trance on dragonfly, which doesnt sound like anything released after that. back in the days, goa was not a genre, it was more a lifestyle. then the genre nazis had to destroy it. for instance, check out the overlords... Bah to the genre nazis! or compare old eat static to the new stuff from them... for me a lot of it is not even considered psychedelic, but just plain trance, or maybe breaks with psychedelic influences?
