Pink Floyd - The Gnome the text goes: I want to tell you a story 'bout a little man if I can. A gnome named Grimble Gromble. And little gnomes stay in their homes, eating, sleeping, drinking their wine. He wore a scarlet tunic, a blue-green hood, it looked quite good. He had a big adventure amidst the grass, fresh air at last. Wining, dining, biding his time... And then one day... Hooray! Another way for gnomes to say "Oooooomray" Look at the sky, look at the river. Isn't it good? Look at the sky, look at the river. Isn't it good? Winding, finding places to go. And then one day Hooray! Another way for gnomes to say "Oooooomray" "Oooooomray..." And then one day Hooray! Another way for gnomes to say "Oooooomray" does that sound like something else anyone?! -

Closing this thread as it went way off topic. If YOU RADI have a complaint about this then please post it in the right section, or report this thread. Nemo out.

Just quoting myself and radi for the record.

Oke, this is the last post of this thread, you spoiled it. I took away all the offtopic posts... so it would be nice and readable. On top of that, you wanted an answer to your question, which I answered very sincerely. Now, taken from your response, I take it that you dont get cds, nor do you listen to vinyls... now that is none of my bussines, but you sure took it like that. For all I care, you can leave the forum, I am not going to try and convince you to stay (As I wouldnt with ANY OTHER member that wants to leave!). I didnt say ANYTHING but my opinion, and if you have another, then you are entitled to that, and you should voice it. Reason for my opinion is however on good experience with people that only download mp3s. These people tend to have the same opinions like you do. I am sorry Radi, I didnt insult you at all. And this opinion I would have eventhough I was not an admin or a mod. Now, live with it, or leave with it. Im not holding you back. Regards, Nemo

To Radi: What Time Trap said, but I would go as far as that the people that only download mp3s are the ones which have ignorant ears. Blah blah....

Saw it before as well, very impressive. Reaktor made visual!

So, I got some diffrent types of tapes now, and I will try them out later on tonight. I will also record one of my mix sets to tape and then back to wav and post it here. I will try to make it 320 CBR for best possible quality, but the mp3 is definetly going to make it sound diffrent. Ill report back later with the result. NOW: Going to bed for a while

are they not organical?
-
Yes, if you check a couple of posts up, you will see that I said exactly that.
-
I am saying that there are somethings that you just can not achieve digitally... depending on what you want to achieve, i am not saying digital is worse than analog, so dont twist my arguments please.
-
I never argued which one is better, I am saying there is diffrent approaches to music... diffrent ways of experimenting, and so on and so on. THere are certain things that you just CAN NOT achieve digitally, and somethings you just CANT achieve with analog devices..
-
Im just telling you here, that you dont have a clue my friend. And I am telling you that this to tape and back can give some pretty cool results... I see it as double pwnage!
-
I have the exact same loop, from a tb303 as well, but I will have to cut it up, since its a 700mb recording of the same sequence, just to show you the diffrence... EDIT: ON second thought, Im not going to bother, I have far better things to do that play this game...
-
wrong, its audiorealism recorded to tape and back... now PWND!
-
Its so redicolous that you cant tell me if its the real thing or not....
-
Breakfast anyone?!
-
Yes aparently so, its cheap as well, ill buy it
-
http://www.d16.pl/index_content.php You mean that? hassnt even been released has it?
-
http://www.esknetlabs.com/acid.wav yeah I cant hear the diffrence... you wouldnt hear the diffrence, because youve never used one mate.... and how can you say its the most accurate one, when you havent even heard a 303 for real? You have NOTHING to compare with.... so you are talking out of your ..... again. Please do not patronize me with your internet findings, it is rather annoying. I have made MANY tracks with Audiorealisms Bassline, and it is very good. But it sounds digtal, and very clean. http://www.acidlab.de/ you mean that one? I have heard that one, and it sounds impressive, but that isnt a vsti? Or did I get something wrong? Devilfish is a mod for the original tb303.... yeah I can really not hear the diffrence, the vstis are just as dirty and warm as the original... its true, radi has convinced me!
-
Maybe there is for some people a substitute.... Bassline sounds very fucking good, but it still doesnt sound the real deal. The 303, can be very unstable, and out of synch sometimes.... like every 128th note or something... that gives it that little swing, that you just cant recreate digitally... of course, you can program it, but it still isnt the REAL DEAL.... and the sound of a 303.... dont even go there
