  1. Mr Lizzard, I have had around 1500 downloads of my TekkTrance vol.1 Mix, and so far only about 20 people commented on it Be Patient mate
  2. Astral Projection - Enlightened Evolution, FUCKING HELL that track is just as good as it was the first time. Timeless imo! Im on a trance trip at the moment Maybe I should record a cool Oldschool set today
  3. Damn man, thats sad Give all my regards to the guy (Eventhough I dont know him personally!) We all want to hear more music from the Genius! Yeah and, I know the not keeping in touch with friends thing too good. I almost lost a very dear friend because of this when I moved to The Netherlands. Similar situation there, and things kept building up to where you no longer have any energy to keep on. The final dagger in our friendship was probably when I got Diabetes, and I totally left Earth for a while. However, also as a result of my self pity I called my good friend to talk to him about my situation, and we had a very very nice conversation. Things are now back to Normal! So: CALL HIM! :)
  4. Im NOT talking about overall compression. I am talking about compresssion on single drum hits etc Doesnt matter, I found what I looked for, and it helps a lot setting up the basic settings in my Digital mixer
  5. I dont know what was going on here, so I just set the irrelevant posts invisible. Just for EVERYONES information. Psynews has NOT BEEN hacked! If you wish to continue the conversation about stuff that was going on, do so with PM's or any other messenger. Regards, Nemo
  6. Healer is Brilliant, no doubt about it, but I want more of the 12 moons! Fucking hell his music really got to me now, havent heard the album for over 2 years, and it still sounds as good as it did the first time... if not even better
  7. Vocal fast 0.5 sec 2:1 - 8:1 soft -3-8 db Loud vocal fast 0.3 sec 4:1 - 10:1 hard - 5-15 db Acoustic Git'r 5-10 ms 0.5 sec 5:1 - 10:1 soft/hard 5-15 db Lecky Guitar 2-5 ms 0.5 sec 8:1 - 10:1 hard 5-15 db Kik & Snare 1-3 ms 0.2 sec 5:1 - 10:1 hard 5-15 db Bass 1-10 ms 0.5 sec 4:1 - 12:1 hard 5-15 db Mix fast 0.4 sec 2:1 - 6:1 soft 2-10 db General fast 0.5 sec 5:1 soft 2-10 db These are by no means fixed rules you must adhere to...but rather good starting points ....Don't be afraid to experiment ...often, a horrendously compressed piece of audio can give a very dramatic effect .......Compression as with other FX, is very much a listening choice.....Try starting with these figures, & then adjust things until it sounds right .....Always check the sound in context of the mix as well ....Often people only check the compression in solo ......Things can sound quite different once the sound is in place in the mix. for the lazy ones that is
  8. Please lets not all forget, that artists most probably want money. I am most likely moving to Spain 15th of May, so... a bit hard for me to organize anything in Amsterdam hehe. BUT of course, if we start organizing now, and the interrest is genuine by the members of this forum.... yeh you get the picture Anyways, let me talk to the Dutchies here at Psynews about dates and so on... OK? :)
  9. Whatever happened to 12 moons?! I just put on his latest record (found it in a box in the cellar) and it got me thinking that I havent heard ANYTHING from this guy ever since. The last album he made, is a masterpiece, something that few artists will achieve in their lifetime (IMO). Why why whyyyyy isnt there more from this genious?!
  10. Obviously I do I have both 12"s by Shockwave Syndicate
  11. At a friends house, I found a chart that he had written down on a white-board. By the time that I came there the next time, he had wiped it (as he was no longer using it, DOH!) so I couldnt copy it. It looked very cool and nicely done. Do you guys have any links to such reference charts? Regards, Nemo
  12. this is why I love mr Seraph as well
  13. Yeah, well, its a russian uniform... well it looks like it. And you could buy them on any streetcorner after the fall of the wall
  14. Seraph is my unconcious alter ego in another world.
  15. Well, if the soundquality was TERRIBLE, I would not think the music "Speaks" for itself. But in General, I do agree with you here
  16. Just a LITTLE bit of History, that has formed the music the way it is today. Especially Psy Trance I on the other side, think that there is more than enough room to start producing this kind of trance. Since I practically grew as a Dj when this music was released, this is the one and only era for me actually that made some sense within the trance scene. Sure, I love a lot of music from today, but nothing BEATS the feeling of walking into The Omen or Dorian Grey, nothing beats the feeling to walk into any of the old Clubs in Berlin, no matter HOW good music has become, and no matter HOW matured the sound is. I compare todays music with a fucking good Whiskey, its aged for 20 years, it tastes like heaven, but when served, often it served wrong. Oh well, someone oughta change that, and who knows maybe someone will! Nemo
  17. It brings tears to me eyes! Thank you very much!
  18. Already have I need those obscure ones
  19. ...there is a lot of nice trancey sounding minimal techno being released at the moment, but its hard to keep track of it all. What are your recomendations? I dont want to spend hours and hours in the recordshops
