  1. Dude: that movie is unparalleled in its awesomeness!
  2. I don't know about any fullon-specific websites, but you can start with these 2 threads: http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php/topic/67411-quality-full-on http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php/topic/66825-best-full-on-albums
  3. I just looked through a couple slideshows/lists on Us Weekly magazine's site. I feel embarrassed to be of the same race as the people who find that stuff worth reading. Almost as embarrassed as I am about reading it myself.
  4. There should be a button in the lower-right of every post that says "Quote". 1200 Mics I think is fullon, so you could start by searching out some of the other artists above that are labeled "fullon".
  5. I've never been much a gamer, but I have to brag that when I used to play Tony Hawk I racked up some seriously high point counts. I could pull off continuous rail slides that covered half of an entire level.
  6. Damn, sorry, I somehow missed this thread. Uptempo: 1. Crop Circles - Lunar Civilization EP (DAT) 2. BlackStarrFinale - Auryn (Neogoa) 3. V/A - The Kingdom (Zion604) 4. V/A - Mind Rewind 2 - Past Forward (DAT Mafia) 5. V/A - Phoenix (Zion604) 6. Dimension 5 - TransStellar (Suntrip) 7. Dimension 5 - TransAddendum (Suntrip) 8. Crop Circles - Full Mental Jackpot EP (DAT) 9. V/A - Sideffect (Psynews)
  7. So...it sounds like it's pretty much all about remixing? I don't consider it a valid musical genre until someone writes an original song in the style.
  8. I haven't been much a gamer since the mid-90's, but the ones I liked the most are: The Legend of Zelda Contra Mike Tyson's Punchout Super Mario Bros. 3 Mortal Kombat Tony Hawk's Pro Skater Civilization 2 & 4
  9. 'Trap' music? That's a new one to me. The thread title immediately made me think of this song from the movie "Cannibal The Musical":
  10. Kinda off-topic because it's not goa or psy, but years ago I used to visit a certain 24-hour cafe regularly with friends and coworkers, and usually pretty late at night. As the evening got late, they would begin to play more weird and/or aggressive music than the fairly tame and family-friendly stuff played during the day. That's where I first heard Dead Can Dance. I just had to ask them what the hell was playing.
  11. Before everyone and their dog throws out a million and one suggestions, I'd personally start off by asking what sort of music (in general) you tend to like (or are currently searching for). Such as: - Melodic - Weird - Energetic - Rhythmic - Aggressive - Mellow Or any other general descriptor. Because you can find examples of all in psytrance.
  12. I'm far from an expert on techno, but the only thing that came to mind is some of Oliver Lieb's post-L.S.G. techno stuff.
  13. In my words: He took the concept of 'psychedelic' and put a musical spin to it, as opposed to taking the concept of 'music' and putting a psychedelic spin to it. That means the music served the psychedelia, instead of the other way around. Also, even though I'm not as much into Shpongle as a lot of others on this forum are, they come across the same way to me. While I'm almost always on the side of the music over any message it's a medium for, some great music has been made as a vehicle for a message. To me, Twisted is kind of like that. Although it's not so much a message like the politics of 60's anti-war stuff or some punk rock, it's kind of a message in a primal, visceral way.
  14. I haven't heard a lot, but of what I've heard they're pretty good.
  15. I ordered The Kingdom and this one almost a month ago and I'm still waiting for both. I thought I remembered my past purchases from Zion arriving sooner, but I can't remember. Where are they shipped from? In the past I had orders from Saiko (shipped from China) take a month or more to get to me.
  16. Do you know what happens when artists make their music according to what other people what, instead of what they themselves want? People call them sellouts. I'd much rather hear goa made by people who want to make goa, than by people who STOPPED wanting to make goa 15 years ago.
  17. That job would probably stress me out too, but that's because I don't like teaching anything and I don't like groups of people all looking at me at the same time. So I wouldn't go for such a job in the first place.
  18. My lower back at the moment.
  19. I haven't. With all due respect to DAT records, I don't get this. I have the CD and love it, and I enjoy psytrance on vinyl, but I don't see the purpose of this. Most especially because Live in Athens is a continuous mix, right? So it seems to me that putting it on 6 individual sides of vinyl does nothing but break up the mix. Godspeed to Draeke and DAT records to accomplish what they want with this release, but I just don't get it.
  20. Jeez man, I think you misunderstand the meaning of the word 'annoying'. Those things are actually bad, not just annoying.
  21. At work we used to use Microsoft Outlook. Now we use Gmail. W. T. F. Outlook is an awesome program for business email. Gmail sucks a diseased emu's asshole.
  22. Time. I remember when the +/- 3 months of summer vacation felt like forever, and it felt like I did so much during that time. Now 3 months feels like "shit, did I leave the couch in the last 3 months?" (not counting work, of course) Novelty. When you're a kid everything is awesome because everything is new. Playing in the dirt is awesome because the more you dig, the more new pieces of dirt you find! But after a while you realize that every piece of dirt looks the same as every other piece of dirt. Then you become old and bitter and jaded. Or maybe that's just me.
  23. Didn't someone ask about this a few years ago? Seems to have been written a few years ago, at least, considering it mentions Nemo and Cinos. But yeah, I'd guess Pavel.
  24. I have a strong restless energy right now and I don't know why. It's bugging the hell out of me.
