  1. Hardly. How many artists are you aware of that are married but put their spouses on their albums?
  2. Wow, that's cool! Around late July on the beaches just west of where I live there are bioluminescent plankton that accumulate in the sand, but only emit light when they are disturbed. It's fun to go to the beach at night and stomp around the sand, making little flashes with your feet, or drawing little lighted lines through the sand.
  3. I actually just learned recently (here on Psynews) that "Out Here We Are Stoned" is a remix of E-Rection "Suck My Dang-a-Long". So X-Dream isn't the original artist. http://www.discogs.com/E-Rection-Out-Here-We-Are-Stoned-The-Official-Electric-Church-Dang-A-Long-Remixes/release/108922
  4. Most toilet cleaners are probably chlorine-based, and chlorine is poisonous. That's why we use it, because it kills things. Try Googling for non-chlorine sanitizing cleaners. Acids also sanitize, but acids eat through metal pipes.
  5. I agree, but most things are like that actually. The first time you encounter something, it's always different from later encounters. With goa/psy, for me, it tends to be due to the layering. On a first listen I'll get a general sense of the emotional impact of the song, and the more I listen to it the more detail starts to come out as I hear more things that were a little masked the first time around. On the other hand, if I hear a good rock song for the first time, there is very little sonically that I miss the first time, but subsequent listens usually make the emotional impact evolve and become more nuanced to my mind.
  6. I actually like We Interface. Not as much as the earlier psytrance stuff, but I like it for what it is. I'm mostly just familiar with the Best Of 2-disc release, and from that my favorites are: Our Own Happiness (303 Edit) - I like this version better than the original, even though the difference is pretty minimal The 2nd Room Out Here We're Stoned The Frog And aside from that: Life Is... (I like it better than the Koxbox original).
  7. Today I learned I'm terrible at archery. Good thing I don't eat meat, so that in an apocalypse situation I don't have to rely on hunting skills to eat!
  8. I learned tonight that a friend's son was taken by the kid's mother, against my friend's wishes, to another state, along with some random person she'd just met. My friend is the one who has been raising the kid while she has been off-and-on homeless and is a drunk, constantly shacking up with abusive guys. And my friend has taken to crowd-sourcing for lawyer fees and airline tickets because otherwise he can't afford to do any of it.
  9. I don't think people react emotionally to the old-new school discussion, they react emotionally to your comments on it because you piss people off. That's pretty much the opposite of what you've been saying. Your whole argument against newschool is that it doesn't sound like oldschool.
  10. It amuses me that my ISP's website loads slower than any other website I go to.
  11. Aaagghh! I could only listen to a 1/3 of that Juno Reactor video before the fucked up stereo image drove me too crazy!
  12. Ulysse Voyage No. 2 (slower) Adoration to the Aum (faster)
  13. Just post the regular Youtube URL, no tags: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkKOBk4oD9M
  14. Mine stays the same except for one addition in first place: Uptempo: 1. Etnica - Live in Athens 1996 2. V/A - Flight 604 (Zion 604) 3. V/A - Shaltu (Suntrip Records) 4. Crossing Mind - The Inner Shift (Suntrip Records) 5. Mindsphere - Patience for Heaven (Suntrip Records) 6. Innershift - Innershift (Suntrip Records) Actually maybe Shaltu and Crossing Mind could be interchangeable.
  15. Do you do this in real life too? Get angry at people for deviating even slightly your chosen topic of conversation?
  16. But hey you can look forward to all the murder! And wind!
  17. Not a damn place. I had classes until a week ago, now I have a month here at the end of summer before next term starts, but as I have no money I can't really go anywhere.
  18. You should think about this phenomenon in great detail. There's a lesson to be learned there. It's funny how no one complained about post quality when you were gone. I don't know why you care so much about making this one internet forum respond to you the way you want. There are all kinds of things in my life I don't talk about here. People typically adapt their discussion to the group they are in, especially when attempting a topic falls flat.
  19. No one said a single thing about your country in your mountain thread, they commented on the fact that you posted identical pictures. You were the one who brought up your country. There were even replies that the pictures look beautiful.
  20. Fill it with good people and you're got yourself a nice party!
  21. Knock it off radi, people don't want to hear that shit.
  22. In fact, that's what mastering originally was: producing a master disc from which records were pressed. The mastering engineer never did processing other than applying the EQ curve that vinyl records are made with. Later on mastering engineers started doing some processing, which is more appropriately called "pre-mastering".
