  1. Look at DeathPosture, posting 13 years apart in the same thread! I've said it before and I'll say it again: the song is just OK, but that sample makes it!
  2. They're not the greatest comps, but not bad. I'm just going to guess they're "lesser known" because I don't remember ever seeing comments about them and the first one doesn't even have a review thread here. Trip Through Sound Made On Earth
  3. I think I've often heard the term 'journey' applied to describe trance songs (not the euphoric hands-in-the-air kind), and a conversation is a kind of journey, so yeah I can see it.
  4. OH GOD NO MORE BANANA HAMMOCKS PLEASE!!!!
  5. I personally make everything new for every song. I don't rely on previosly created patterns, and only occasionally reuse previously created sounds.
  6. I'm not sure I follow you, but I don't base a song around a single loop if that's what you're asking. I may make one section a variation on the section that came before it, but only if it seems like the best thing to do in that instance. Of course, some artists' songs are indeed based around a single loop, but doing that never appealed to me. Even though I like many of those songs.
  7. Then you clearly weren't raised American!
  8. Hmmm...for someone so new to the forum, you seem to know a thing or two about Radi already...
  9. We going with just proper artist albums, no compilations? Astral Projection - Trust In Trance Etnica - Live In Athens 1996 Dimension 5 - Transdimensional Hallucinogen - Twisted Talpa - The Path Portamento - The Portal Chi-A.D. - Virtual Spirit Artha - Influencing Dreams Pleiadians - IFO Ra - 9th I guess. I could have a different opinion tomorrow.
  10. I was at a party over the weekend where I heard there was elements of dubstep, electro, acid house, psytrance and more. I'm not that much into dubstep or electro, but I appreciated having some variety. And they played some better examples of the genres. I think.
  11. For me I think I had to slowly get into psy. I listened to regular trance for a while before I started hearing psy, and if someone had played IFO or something similar when I was just getting into trance, I probably would have thought it too chaotic. Hell, I still think some psy is too chaotic.
  12. I collect beer in my belly.
  13. Take anything said on GearSlutz with a grain of salt. They just like getting in arguments with each other. And DAW 'sound' wars exist all over the place, not just in relation to Live.

    Sci-Fi Movies

Speaking of which, I just saw a trailer for a new Riddick movie. Looked more like Pitch Black than Chronicles.
  15. Great. Of course it was based on something else. Doesn't anyone write new movies these days without adapting something that already existed?
  16. I suggest these: Psynews.org Presents "V/A - Sidefect" Zion604's releases BlackStarFinale - Auryn PortaMento - The Portal And if you still like old school, DAT Records has re-released Crop Circles EP's and Etnica's Live In Athens 1996, and Suntrip Records has re-released some Dimension 5 compilations.
  17. Oh shit, how could I forget Inspector Gadget? The best!
  18. Sure, what's not to love? How about: Poisoning a town in my home state Supporting eugenics Praising Nazi gas chambers Suggesting homosexuals be segregated from society and are not human beings
