I don't know, but do you have any other options? If you're just using it for DJing and the like, no reason to pay for mic preamps you don't need. Maybe there's another option for you that is line-level only?

Mine is Captain Planet, from a cheesey, feel-good kid's show about super heroes who save the planet. I used to watch it when I was a kid. I love how dorky he looks, and the awesome super hero pose!

I listen to a variety of music styles, so I never feel overloaded on trance. But some stretches of days I listen to less trance than others, there's just not much rhyme or reason to it.

While I haven't looked for a job for a long time, since I'm in school I hear a lot of talk around me about applying for jobs. One of the things often mentioned is: tailoring your resume for the job. And it doesn't have to be just the resume, you can tailor yourself as well. I've certainly never been overqualified for anything, but for someone who is: you don't have to mention every degree you have. If you're applying for a position that typically has Bachelor-level applicants but you have a PhD, there's no problem in just mentioning that part of your education in your resume. Of course, if somehow the interviewer asks you if you have further degrees/education, you wouldn't want to lie, but there shouldn't be any ethical issue in playing yourself down if the alternative is being passed over because an employer thinks you might ask for too much money.

If one of the biggest problems about interplanetary travel is radiation from cosmic rays, what's the best way to protect people? They talk about shielding, but that's just thick metal. What is it that protects us from cosmic rays here on Earth? Isn't it the planet's magnetic field? Shouldn't there then be a way to create a magnetic field around a ship to do the same thing?

Oh god yes, that would be awesome! He's not really active anymore, is he? I thought I remembered a while back he took down his website because of people taking advantage of him or something. I got the impression he was giving up out disgust. Although that could just be me projecting.

Of course! We can't begin humankind's leap into spacefaring with a bunch of ugly people, now can we?

I have no idea of any of these put on good 'shows', as far as energy on the stage and that sort of thing, but since I like them and they're currently active: Artha Portamento Crossing Mind

Impressive amount of typing there! Let us not forget Ableton Live, which while it honestly is lacking in MIDI function, is still widely used, and definitely excels at what it excels at. I'd also throw in a mention for MOTU's Digital Performer ('cause I use it). Not as commonly used, but it has really great MIDI functionality, as it should for a program with nearly 30 years of MIDI sequencing history. As far as software synths and effects, there are so many it's hardly worth mentioning them. Personally I use Native Instruments synths and UAD effects, along with a few free effects and the ones included in Live and DP. I'd also like to mention Sonic Charge as a maker of interesting synths. I use their MicroTonic drum synth and love it. They also have an interesting one called Synplant which I haven't actually used, just played around with for a few minutes and it seemed interesting and unique.

The harsh reality... Why Psytrance has become shit
Veracohr replied to Anoebis's topic in General Psytrance
Meh. I say if someone wants to come armed with a dance that's their deal. Dance is an expression, and people express themselves in different ways. -
Some of them, but they're kind of in the background.

I've been at my current employer for 8 years. I've never had extended periods of unemployment but I've also had next to no luck working in my field of choice: audio production. I went to school for that when I was 18-20, but aside from a couple small live sound gigs a long time ago I've never gotten anywhere with it. That's why I'm in school now with the goal of being self-employed. Then I can do what I want wherever I want. Once I finish school I might think about moving somewhere for a while, just for the experience of living in another country.

Geez radi, give it some time! Simple topics are simple to respond to. Interesting topics require thought.

Never had the opportunity but they don't interest me. I'd rather have a picture of myself with the person/people.

I thought briefly about that when I first heard about it. I'd be willing to make a one-way trip if I felt there was a good purpose, but I'm not sure this mission has a useful goal. The goal seems to be just "get people on Mars". Okay, what then? What's the benefit? We can't colonize Mars so there should be some practical scientific purpose behind it.

Yeah, I gotta agree with the breaks, but I like triplets... -

Triplets are no longer a valid musical device and there's now a 'right' way to dance? -
I watched a movie last night called "John Dies At The End". It was fucking weird. Kind of a light-hearted, goofy, psychedelic sci-fi about these guys who take a drug and are able to transcend time and move between dimensions. And a dog; what a weird dog. And some completely inexplicable nudity. I recommend it!

I don't think I even understand those cartoons.

That was pretty good, I like the ambient feel over the DnB beat. The Desimal stuff was hit and miss for me. It seemed like it had all the elements of DnB but somehow failed to put them together well.

Well that doesn't make sense to me. Human eyesight is terrible in the dark, compared to other animals. I voted "Something else". I'm not a morning person, in the manner that I'm grumpy in the morning and hate getting up early, and I stay up late, but I also like sunshine and being out in the daylight (later in the day). And I'm also perfectly content at night, whereas the darkness makes some people uncomfortable.

Richpa and his passionate work with Neogoa and the goa scene is the reason we created the "Family of Light" member category. He's awesome!

I concur with Dimension 5 - Flow!
