I just read last night that this was written & directed by Whedon. Now I'm all excited for it!

Awesome teaser! Why the tinyurl? The Vimeo URL is already tiny.

Her voice is in there. She says "what did you just call me?" and some other stuff.

I hadn't heard of them, but a brief scan of their website looks like they are a digital distributor, and I saw a Solar Fields album there, so it's possible they could have other psy stuff they distribute.

I didn't understand the Flemish, but it was funny seeing the 90's fashion again! Actually I never realized Belgian house was ever a big thing, differentiated from music from anywhere else. Interesting even only understanding part of the videos!

I think I had some issues with that myself when the board software was updated. Glad you got it working! -

I thought that sounded like Jodie Foster. I'll have to check it out just for the hell of it.

OK, despite what I said here, the Nebula Meltdown song is actually starting to stand out as my favorite song on this compilation. It's very psychedelic and evolving and progressive (in the sense of progressing smoothly from one part to the next). The bassline may not be the greatest, but overall I find the song just beautiful!

This unfortunately cuts off the end of the song, but just a tiny bit:

For my money, you can't beat the classics: And for mathcore:

psyprog tag is growing in recognition. Anyone else like it ?
Veracohr replied to bonpsy's topic in General Psytrance
And yet for people who listen to psytrance, it's necessary to differentiate it from non-psychedelic trance. Besides, there are certain things that are just kind of widely accepted as 'psychedelic', because there are certain experiences that are very common with psychedelic substances. -
Try out µTonic, it's a pretty good drum synth.

Probably easier for drunk people to tumble in and out of.

I don't think I get it. Is the 'myth' the thing he mentions about people outside the psy scene thinking that psy is something new?

Yahoo, for email.

If you want a really clicky kick, use a large amount of pitch modulation with a fast decay. This means it starts out at a high frequency (where the click comes from) and quickly gets down to the bassy part of the kick, without the noticeable downward pitch bend of certain old goa kicks.

Is this the same Miranda? I found it linked from a video of Lepton Head and remembered the name from this thread. It's a pretty good song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g661ixVZEaM

I really liked that, although I thought the breaks were kind of pointless. -

I have only one prog compilation, Vibration 4, and I only got it because it had a IFB song. I listen to it very rarely. Prog fits a certain mood, but usually it's too boring for my tastes. I suppose there's good stuff out there, but I prefer something more interesting.
