  1. It's pretty good but to me it doesn't flow as smoothly, so I prefer the original.
  2. Bananacore! Sunlightcore! Saturdaycore! Fingernailcore! Furrycore!
  3. I don't think I'd actually paid attention to how many pages there were until yesterday.
  4. Well dubstep grew out of DnB didn't it? Seems logical that there would be something in a sort of midway point between the two.
  5. How about a little assistance, as far as any time-consuming tasks?
  6. Wow, don't I feel dumb. 6 years and 52 pages of posts and I'd never visited this thread, thinking it was 'covers' in the musical sense, like playing someone else's song. Like a psy cover of, oh I don't know, Cindi Lauper's "Girls Just Want To Have Fun". Not album covers.
  7. I lost patience with vomiting long ago. I'm an endurance drinker, not a sprinter.
  8. Yeah, I have it, but as I said, it won't let me use a single still image for as long as I want. I tried this once; I wanted to make a boring 'video' with a still image throughout the whole thing just to put a song of mine on Youtube, and iMovie wouldn't let me use a single still image for more than 2 minutes or something like that. It's a stupid fucking program. I guess it would be OK if your sources were all actual video sources (not still images), but it didn't work for what I wanted to do.
  9. Obviously you do since you're here giving your opinion on the music and the scene on a regular basis.
  10. Unfortunately for both those ideas, I'm a Mac user. But maybe I can find a demo trial of some Mac program.
  11. Yeah I could upload it to Soundcloud, but I'd like to keep my Soundcloud page just for my own music. I'm not such a philanthropist that I feel a need to give people the best quality of someone else's song. Of course, I need to figure out how to make a video. I've just got this dumb iMovie application which puts a limit on the length of time you can play a single source for, like a still image. I don't get that.
  12. Checking some out now. First I see with interest that he had some tracks on the later Reactivate series, which I'm listening to now. They're OK for the most part, not leaning to the goa sound much, but a couple are good classic trance. A little 303 here and there; always a bonus! Around 1998-2002 there was a record store I used to visit every once in a while, and sometimes I would find the Reactivate series there. I always checked them out; partly because Reactivate 10 is one of my favorite trance albums ever, and partly because the Reactivate covers were so fun. They were pretty hit & miss, but they had some lesser-known gems as far as classic trance. We Promise You The Future - damn, I can't find this one online. I found a video for "Everyone's Future", which is a pretty damned good song, but I guess it's not the same? I wish I could hear this song. The Stranger - ah, more 303, a man after my own heart! Oh, and it was on a goa compilation! Wow, awesome song! Headlines - very epic and euphoric without being cheesy. Side note: my cat was meowing like crazy during this song, but mostly only when the 303 was screeching away; made me wonder if she didn't like the 303! Holy fuck, this song has awesome build-ups! Kill That 303 - how could I not listen to a song with 303 in the title? Yeah, I'm a sucker for it, make fun of me all you want! Well, OK, it wasn't that great of a song. 303-dominant acid trance, but not terribly interesting. Felipe Santos is much better, although I do recognize and appreciate the 'true' 303 sound in this song, while I know Mr. Santos uses a xOxbOx, which is a very close replica but not exactly the same (my inner synth fiend run amokuth). Osho - appears to be the B-side to "Arcana", which I didn't find too interesting. "Osho" is darkish and trancy, with a definite goa influence. Not overly-melodic. Very nice. Trance in Saigon - nicely trancy, not cheesy, darkish, nicely combines classic, acid and goa trance sounds. I'm going to stop there. This guy has some good stuff and some mediocre stuff. I listened to more than what I commented on, I just didn't think the rest was worth commenting on.
  13. Anyone know much about the legalities of putting songs on Youtube you don't own the copyrights to? I'm respectful of copyrights, but I know a lot of people upload videos with songs to Youtube regardless and seem to not have any problems. I picked up a record a while back that has an absolutely awesome acid trance song which I'd like to share with people, but I can't find it online anywhere to link to. I'd like to upload it to Youtube or somewhere else, but I don't want to get sued or anything. The song I want to put up is from 1995 and as far as I can tell was only ever released on vinyl, so it's not like it's still available to make the artist any money. What do you think?
  14. Never heard of him, but I gotta check it out later just based on that song title. I love it!

    Mind Rewind

Thanks, but don't worry about it.
  16. Listening to a bunch of techno from this thread. Some good stuff there!

    Sci-Fi Movies

I liked Wild Palms. It gets a bit cheesy and overdramatic at times but it's cool.
  18. ^ Those folks don't pay enough attention to science fiction to know they are paving the path to hell!
