  1. i got the secret of the 13 skull just because of the shpongle track and it's the only thing i like on it so.. well it was still worth it because of that one track.. 12 isn't that good.. even simon's e.. it's not good man, not good.. very boring release if you ask me.. if you have to choose between the 2 shulman's get the newer one..
  2. Prometheus - Robot-O-Chan Son Kite - Colours X.Dream - We Interface Lunaspice - Reflexions Haldolium - Vanity And Happiness Emou - Apres Midi ... ... ... and the misted muppet is by far the most over rated
  3. by the way don't you guys get fan mail ???? i had to add wow, awesome review, you rock, your genius and that sort of words/phrases to my inbox filter
  4. well i sure like my free promos every now and then i do come across an album i don't bother reviewing cos the review wouldn't come out too golden and so.. i sort of try not to say "buy buy buy happy happy joy joy cos it's bloody good" (unless it's twisted release ofcourse) but to tell a little about the album.. like what is it similar to and what does it remind me of and so on..
  5. ooh I totally forgot kaya project Imo it has been pretty good year.. way better than previous 2 atleast
  6. and by the way the Emou album is a must.. even better than the first one if you ask me
  7. well I didn't hear the Human blue album yet so.. Misted Muppet.. umm I don't find it too good really, but that's just me
  8. Hmm ummm Hallucinogen 4 times.. twice in finland, twice in greece.. gets better every time Astral Projection live was quite tight although i don't even like em too much.. ummm Prometheus live was fabulous.. would have been way way better though if I had heard some of the tracks before it.. I kinda like knowing what I'm dancing to.. you know.. ummm.. X.Dream live was good.. Son Kite aswell.. ummm Younger Brother was dissapointing.. as if they only put the cd to the player.. umm.. Ott's new live is GREAt! oh well..

  10. you mean download?
  11. Cosma ..the most overrated artist in the whole fucking scene GMS ..don't like their early, mid or new stuff X-Dream ..don't like them at all, however their live was brilliant @ transit so I'm sort of looking forward to the new album Psycraft ..the latest album sounds like copy & paste old shit to me Sub6 ..boooooooring by the way the topic was "artists you dislike but most people love" no one likes Infected Mushroom these days, it's like a trend to dislike them or something.. anyways I like em and you can't go wrong with buying a twisted records release
  12. You mean the 4th and maybe the final Shpongle album. From what I remember Raja said something like "We talked with Simon that this might be the last..." So who knows? Maybe they gather the whole The Infinity Project posse? I hear there's a Celtic Cross album in plans and a Dubtrees one aswell. And whatever happened to the Hallucinogen vs Eatstatic thingy? Uns2 should be out like next week if Twisted doesn't postpone it again. Anyone got the promo, yet? And the Twisted Chill thingy, that has to be good . Simon wrote a while back, like a few months or so that he feels like doing an album on his own aswell cos "we need more dancefloor killers" or something like that. Anyways new X-Dream should be out real soon
  13. i hear the juno reactor - luciana is quite a bitch to locate
  14. Bluetech - Elementary Particles & Prima Materia (Aleph Zero Records) Artist: Bluetech (Evan) Title: Elementary Particles & Prima Materia Label: Aleph Zero Records http://www.alephzero.info Cat: AlephZ02 Genre: Psychedelic Playtime: 44:09 + 67:18 = 111:27 Elementary Particles Tracklist: 01 Elementary Particles (Re-Edit) 08:12 02 Alchemie Dub 06:43 03 Cosmologic 07:32 04 Koinonea 06:30 05 Prayers For Rain (J.Viewz Remix) 04:59 06 Oleander 07:08 07 Worthy 03:05 Prima Materia Tracklist: 01 Leaving Babylon 06:45 02 Prophetic Sines 06:18 03 Triangle (Retriangulated) 07:04 04 Rubicon 05:59 05 Prayers For Rain (Dub Mix) 06:54 06 White Magnesia 05:42 07 7th Phase Dub 06:30 08 Burning Waters 06:35 09 Mezzamorphic 08:00 10 Desperate Ends 05:34 11 Cliffdiving 01:57 My copy of Stephen Hawking's "The Universe In A Nutshell" says that a elementary particle is "A particle that is believed cannot be subdivided." So all in all they're pretty small thingies. They're actually very small thingies. They're infact even smaller than the diversity in the full on side of psytrance. No way? Yes, it does sound unbelievable, but do take my word for it, it's true! If you want to know more about them then here's a good site to start with http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/elegant/ If you went to Underwater Overground or Voov or Boom or Transit this summer there's a good chance you catched Bluetech playing. I did the Transit via Boom thingy and didn't to my knowledge catch him. Was he there? I don't know! I know I was. Infact I even know who's to blame. The finger points at Boom and Transit organizations. You know some people actually came there because of the chill out. Prima Materia has been spinning in my cdplayer for the last couple of days, the thing is really growing on me. To tell the truth my hifi is still place unknown to Elementary Particles. I've rather taken a liking to Prima Materia. It's beautiful, melodic, atmospheric and most important of all, properly fucked. This is the album that was already released, right? How was I able to miss it? Was there a hype? I don't think there was! There should have been. There should have been a big one. And now for something completely different. It's been like two months now that I received this cd. And still at this very moment all that I've written of it can be found above. It wasn't supposed to go like this. I'm pretty lazy bastard, but still there must have been more to it. Back to the point. The album is good. It's way more than that. You saw that coming didn't you? But damn, you have to admit that it's a monster to review! Sure I could tell the basic shit like it's Aleph Zero's second release, first one being Shulman's In search of a meaningful moment and that the other cd of these two was released at some label already and umm, that's pretty much all I know. Well the guy, Bluetech I mean, his name, it's Evan. He also goes by the name Evan Bluetech, but seriously, that's not his last name now is it? I bet you a million euros! It still remains to be decided which one I like the best. Elementary Particles lived in my sterea for around two weeks and now Prima Materia has a good ten day streak thingy going on. And this is the second round! No stand out tracks either, although I always and I mean always find that at some track (both album's got one) I find my concentration to the music increasing. What the hell is the music like? In one word. The music is ”good”. In two words. The music is ”very good”. It's infact so good that it takes way more than two words to put it properly. It's sort of like classical music although it's nothing like classical music. It's sort of psychedelic but it's definitely not psychedelic in that eat mushrooms and take chemicals kind of way. It's more like comfy warm - that sky is sort of psychedelic and I like the stars - sort of thingy. Or the moon perhaps. The moon is big, nice, comfy and yellow! If Shpongle's ”Are You Shpongled” is the Death Star and ”Tales Of The Inexpressible” is Earth then this one is definitely the Moon. Why? How the hell should I know? It just is. Just like the Moon orbits Earth and Earth orbits the Sun and Death star could blow the whole fucking thing up in a second. On the thank yous list thingy Evan tanks the Source, the Light and the Breath. It's a good thing he does for you can really feel their bid all the way thru. It took me like more than a month to realize but then it finally came to me. Just like a minute ago actually. I think that this album has that "not from our scene" feeling thingy. You know. You don't? Nevermind then, because I don't either. But anyways that's one of the strong holds of this album. It's as if this guy Evan has never ever before heard of "our music" and so he's doing his own style thingy, which granted, isn't that completely different to say Shpongle or Shulman or well you know the general psychedelic chill out. Now I could go on and on about this but if you don't hear it then don't. It probably isn't there anyways and I'm just audionicating. That's a new word for sure! Actually I bet I'm horrbily wrong. The other reviews out there and here already describe the album to a point so there really is no point in going deeper. Have you come across a negative review yet? I sure haven't. Someone was saying something in the manner of "a bit minimal". I'd say he must have been listening to low bitrate mp3s for the sound is rich in this disc. The force aint weak either. =) The artwork is beautiful, did I mention that yet? I don't think I did. J.Viewz of Violet Vision seems to only come up with quality tracks and a bad track from him remains to be heard. I don't see it coming anytime soon to say the least. Should you buy this album? If you dig the psychedelic side of chillout you probably should. If you're bored of psytrance then there's even more reason for the purchase. If you're just a mp3 lamer this one here is a great chance to change your way. Goes well on the same cd rack with Shpongle, Shulman, Ott, Life Is series, Kaya Project and all in all the ever growing insanity. Now I should probably write way more, for this album does deserve it. Notice, when I say ”this album”, I'm actually talking about the whole release, both albums. But I have no words. You can't concentrate on writing when you listen to it and somehow you forget the music the minute it stops playing. It doesn't wear out that's for sure. Well that's it for now.. Massive respect for Bluetech and Alep Zero for this brave release..
  15. another life is great!
  16. if yu ask me there's no album like prometheus' "robot-o-chan" ..by far the best & most original album of the year..
  17. uns2 will be released soon =)
  18. i'm not even going to listen to the samples..
  19. stop sending pics of yourself sicko!
  20. In a way Infected Mushroom is like the last samurai. Granted, conventionally samurais and Israeli psytrance acts don't have that much if anything in common, yet a thing that links Mushies to the fighters obviously exists, otherwise I wouldn't be writing this shit down, now would I? Unless I'm drunk ofcourse. Then again, maybe I just better cut out the crap and continue. So like I was saying, they're both last of a kind, abnormal relics from the past, the good ol' days, way back then when men fought with honor and psytrance artists created psychedelic music. Look what we've come to! It sure is a rare breed of an artist that still "knows how". Apart from a few English gentlemen and a couple of other giants -Infected Mushroom included- well the craftsmen of psychedelic sounds are gone! I for one am not in for the groove, kickdrum, bassline or even melodies. I say fuck 'em, just give me some psychadelia. It's about the saddest thing in the universe that this medium is so, so rare these days. So, the name promises psychedelic and psychedelic it's. This time it comes with some damn fine cheese. But cheese can be gourmet, doesn't always have to be Cheddar you know. Not that there's anything particular wrong with this dairy product, mac 'n' cheese at least is rather tasty. "Radio Edit" has a commercial ring to it, hasn't it? But, to tell the truth the sound is the same (compared to the original mix), the tune is just compressed into half the lenght. They don't play 7 minute tunes on radio you know, not here at least. Actually, there's no way in hell you'd hear this 3:50 minute composition on the radio here anyways. I'm pretty sure Duvdev wouldn't win say, BBC's "The singer of the World" competition -not without hypnosis, bribes or a bomb threat anyways- but that doesn't mean that he can't sing. I mean you can hear he's obviously doing it while listening to this tune. He obviously is no Andrea Bocelli, who is quite of a singer, but then again Bocelli doesn't get a billion ultra cool effects thrown over his voice too often. "We gonna run, run, run to the cities of the future. Take what we can and bring it back home. So take me down to the cities of the future, everybody is happy and I feel at home." Then we get to the point. Those synths are fucked up, in the most positive way ofcourse. The guitar is cool too. Infected Mushroom is one of the few groups that has a sound that can be recognized easily, and this tune is no expectation. You can download it from www.Infected-Mushroom.net free of charge! Twice the length, twice as good? Now we're given some candy that was left out from the previous. The synths are even more fucked up for one, and then there's that umm, popcorn land part and there's definetly even more to it. Just as you start thinking "Boy it's over now" the tune raises from the grave and the dead walk again. The track takes a 180 degree turn like every few minutes just when you least expect it to. How cool is that? To answer the question, it's pretty fucking cool! Violet Vision spells quality, so even before hearing this one I already knew for sure that it was going to be smashing. Violet goes for a chilled drum n' bass approach. I'm sure some expert could name the genre more precisely, but then again, who cares. As long as it's rocking your ass. Two of Israel's finest on the same single, that's just great! What's even greater is that they've got totally different styles, so the single doesn't get repeative. The 4th and the last is a bonus one. I think I've seen this one in some tops ages ago. Not that it matters. There's definetly some illusion of old Infected sound going on, but there's definetly a new horse on the track too. Violent, yet relaxed, just like rancid cream, the tune advances, it's lumpy. Slowly we enter the kinky theme park, 03:12 to be exact. Elegant is the word. It's all here, classical instruments, brilliant composition, absence of Duvdev's voice (no offence ), just the way I like my mushrooms. Fried with cream, oh momma that's so tasty! This tune could have been on Classical Mushroom, really, maybe they kept it hidden in the deepest corner of the B.P Empire for all these years? Then again maybe they're returning to the roots. Many people wouldn't mind that at all that's for sure, no? And now to the thing why you unguestionably read this entire text. MY opinion! Back in the days when I really started liking psytrance Infected Mushroom's Classical Mushroom was the album and The Gathering wasn't that bad either. Since then Infected has been in my opinion Israel's finest in psytrance, and having now listened to this single quite explicitly I must say that my opinion is not about to change. If you like Infected's previous stuff this single will make a good home of your cd deck for the next month or so. If you're not a fan, well don't bother.. I say 4/4 , it's a killer!
