OPUS IRIDIUM Suntrip - 2008 PREAMBLE A compilation saw the day in March 2008: OPUS IRIDIUM (suncd10). I decided to describe a review because I wanted to know if the magic was still present one year after its release. The label wanted to hit hard for his 10th production, we have a double CD and a booklet of fifteen pages explaining the evolution of goa trance. OPUS IRIDIUM means "Artwork for the Rainbows" in Latin, is composed of a melodic psychedelic trance CD and ambient CD. A very appetizing tracklist with the comeback of SHAKTA, ETHEREAL, FILTERIA, AFGIN, RA, RADICAL DISTORTION and MINDSPHERE. Newcomers such as E-MANTRA, AJNA, ARTIFACT303, ATRAL WAVES and SIEBZEHN and finally the big names in music ambient / downtempo, true professionals as SOLAR FIELDS, AES DANA, ASURA et ELECTRYPNOSE. 145 minutes of pure happiness for everyone mastered by Tim Schuldt. The artwork is signed Margot Schaefer, a very talented person. She is also the mother of Joske aka Anoebis. She is the origin of the artworks of APSARA and of TWIST DREAM. I strongly recommend you to admire his work on this link: here. TRACKLIST CD 1 Uptempo 1.1) E-Mantra Voyager II [10:25] Romania 1.2) Shakta Ten Times Around The Sun [6:32] Uk 1.3) Filteria Birds Lingua Franca [9:32] Sweden 1.4) Artifact303 Feelings [9:24] Romania 1.5) Ajna The Art Of Happiness [9:12] France 1.6) Radical Distortion The Dreamer [7:37] Greece 1.7) Afgin From The Heart (Tribute To Wonderboy) [10:17] Israel 1.8) Ethereal Moondawn [11:02] Sweden CD 2 Downtempo 2.1) Mindsphere Frozen Sleep [8:03] Turkey 2.2) Solar Fields Confusion Illusion (Remix) [7:27] Sweden 2.3) Electrypnose ChillinBerlin [10:59] Switzerland 2.4) E-Mantra Secret Prophecy [7:12] Romania 2.5) Aes Dana Lysistrate [7:57] France 2.6) Asura Altered State [7:26] France 2.7) SiebZehn Bongalore And Beyond [8:11] Germany 2.8) Astral Waves Contemplation [9:36] Canada 2.9) Ra Road To Shiraz [6:06] Norway REVIEW UPTEMPO CD [1] E-MANTRA - Voyager II >> Play 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Fire !!!!! ... ... The control room ordered the launch to a mission international space. Our feet left the ground to penetrate the depths of outer space to the mysteries of our galaxies. Melodies simple and thin slender but very effective, bring us in the theme of science fiction. Titanic track that rises in power in a way crescendo. [2] SHAKTA - Ten Times Around The Sun >> Play It is finally back!!! we remembers us all of his legendary album "Silicon Trip". It was inconceivable that an artist being part of the psychedelic pillar and with so talant we left like that. It is with great pleasure to hear sounds so psychedelic like "The Enlightened Ape" but more taciturn. The effects and sounds are cut to the sickle but the melodies goa refine rendering. [3] FILTERIA - Birds Lingva Franca >> Play Ahhhh! Filteria ... no doubt, one of the best tracks of this CD. we wonder us where it will search all its sounds crazy .... Etnica should not be far. It's a new school track with some nice uplifting articulated in a fast rhythm, punctuated by a steady and powerful kick. The effects like blooming buds and swirling spirals and acrobatics melodies are simply projecting. Gorgeeeeous!!! [4] ARTIFACT303 - Feelings >> Play Zsolt Peter is a person who might in the shadow of some artists. The track is very interesting and original. The bassline is solid, the melodies waver and effects whirl. Feelings is a real success. You absolutely must listen beacause the emotion reached its zenith. [5] AJNA – The Art Of Happiness >> Play Olivier Chazard aka Ajna is a guy from France ........ I'm really pleased to see a Frenchman to give experience goa. I would say he looks like Goasia. The Art Of Hapiness is both rhythmic and light. Small sharp sounds coming tickle the rhythm and acid effects sparkle like stars. A track well led. [6] RADICAL DISTORTION – The Dreamer >> Play The best song of this compilation but I would say that it is not surprising when we take the ingredients of MFG and of Astral Projection. The track is old school but more israeli trance. Many similarities with the tracks: Ionized, Magnetic Activity and Overlords but updated. The melodies are an accumulation of explosive color. It is a pure wonder. >> Play - Ionized >> Play - Overload >> Play - Magnetic Activity [7] AFGIN – From Heart >> Play Music with temperate rhythm and melodies at once shy and sensitive. We note the presence of several melodies that adorn the track but I think overall pretty bland. From Heart has an atmosphere very airy, however, the work remains amorphous. [8] ETHEREAL - Moondawn >> Play Ethereal invites us to conclude this first CD with Moondawn. The track is similar to their album "Anima Mundi". The ambience is quiet, assisted by beautiful deep lines and floating, everything, granted by a light rhythm kick medium. Unfortunately, the whole is monotonous. REVIEW DOWNTEMPO CD [1] MINDSPHERE - Frozen Sleep >> Play We begin this part ambient with Mindsphere intoxicates us with Frozen Sleep. The intro plunges in a deep sleep accentuated by sounds heavenly. A thick and suffocating haze which disappears by a second part more active. Fabulous. [2] SOLAR FIELDS - Confusion Illusion Remix >> Play A tasty tracks sober, concise with an increase of adrenaline in the middle of the runway for finally as it began. We open us at a meeting of thalassotherapy where essential oils have a relaxing scent. [3] ELECTRYPNOSE – ChillinBerlin >> Play ChillinBerlin is probably the track the most worked and the most innovative of this compilation. The melodies are machined in an orderly fashion, the rhythm is causing, the effects are exciting, a true work of craftsmanship. [4] E-MANTRA - Secret Prophecy >> Play Long deep lines, aspire us in the misty darkness without end. We float, we feel us lighter. The percussion give meaning to this wonderful composition and the melody of great beauty makes us very backward with its slowed down effect. [5] AES DANA - Lysistrata >> Play We start with an intro very religious. We feel great emotion and sadness. The vibration seems to climb the heights of the cathedral to the afterlife. Then suddenly comes a pace supplant the peaceful sound, amplifying the melancholy side. Piece very successful with these tunes rolling, the voices of women who charm us and its captivating rhythm. [6] ASURA - Altered State >> Play Asura delivers us a soothing track where the melodies are attractive and bewitching musical lines, all beset by a kick action. [7] SIEBZEHN - Bongalore And Beyond >> Play One of my favorite songs. The story of a hesitant melody that wanders throughout the music. It varies among sounds very successful, zigzagging like a snake leaving behind a trail winding. [8] ASTRAL WAVES - Contemplation >> Play In a style quite different, Contemplation has few melodies. It rests essentially on tribal percussion. The atmosphere is very ethnic and we have the feeling to attend a ceremony of a primitive tribe in the depths of a jungle. The lack of twists, makes this track boring, however, the ambience is famous. [9] RA - Road To Shiraz >> Play sweet.....light.....sensitive.....harmonious.....frail. This composition sounds oriental, drop us in the middle of a desert, a desert very beautiful where we feel at times alone and rested, far from civilization. Sumptuous!!! CONCLUSION OPUS IRIDIUM is very conclusive. The melodies abound and awakening our senses and our rhythms heartbeat pulses. The tracks are very good making some senile old school songs. Thus, we are now entering the new school air. This compilation is both innovative and conservative, it is a reference. Masterpiece!!!! RATING: 8,5/10

The Misted Muppet - From The Legend (Trancelucent Prod. 2004
InFecTeD_gOa replied to DeathPosture's topic in 2004
The Misted Muppet From The Legend PREAMBLE The Misted Muppet, composed of Dagan Israeli and of Tal Hassidi, offers us an album out of the ordinary. From The Legend is an album shot straight in the world ‘heroic fantasy’. Ten stories of medieval battles, heroic wars, in an imaginary world and often violent. The stage is set. Work with the substance of the Middle Ages, as protagonists: creatures, monsters, humans. As intrigue, myths and legends. And landscape: castles, enchanted forests, dungeon. A battle merciless between good and evil. REVIEW [1] THE MIST – 6'35'' >> Play This title immerses us in the heart of a violent battle. A battle led by cries of pain, shock swords, falls repeated lifeless body, whinnying of frightened horses. All on a small melody worthy of the finest movie soundtracks. Around 0'43'' we go home in a highly acidic environment with with crawling and wild sounds accompanied by a kick well delivered and and a good bass line purring. Around 1'26'', clap appeared to better accommodate around 1'30'', this melody, intriguing and acid, which zigzag on an ongoing basis. A melody very original and extremely powerful. Around 2'32'', the appearance of the harp and the piano can make a truce. Voices of supernatural creatures, mysterious and childlike, accentuate this calm evil. But this truce will be short-lived, with delusional and acid rhythm returns with a vengeance around 3'15'' with twisting and wrenching noises. Finally around 5'29'', a melody is born; melancholy and sad, it will serve results to this bloody war. It will put, however, an end to this wonderful song. [10/10] [2] Machine Forest – 7'37'' >> Play all starts with heroic music defined by the presence of traditional instruments: drums and violins, but also by flanges of electronic sounds (fx). Around 0'56'', a rhythm more sustained comes, mixing psychedelic and acidity. Around 2'27'', a melody takes shape very efficiently and repeatedly plunging us into a hypnotic state. The melody is less attractive than the first track but genuinely effective and gives the atmosphere, a sense of strange and interrogation. Around 6'31'', music becomes completely mad and uncontrollable, it comes in every sense!!! It is followed very closely by the melody of the introduction, thus ending, in a way logical, the track. [9/10] [3] Cat Visions – 7'30'' >> Play The title begins by a rather chaotic/apocalyptic intro typical horror films. The scene suggests us that the action takes place in the torture room with its narrow and dark corridors. Around 0'57'', a miaowing very crispa leaves to escape a melody with sounds bouncy and jerky. It's around 2'04'', that all brighter since Cat Visions is a continuation of track 2: Machine Forest with similar melodies. Around 2'15'', the song becomes more and more interesting, detailed and attractive. The old school operates perfectly as a puzzle. A transition without smudging making a track very psychedelic. Around 4'26'', electric guitar participate to this euphoria sound (remarkable) paying homage to the group Infected Mushroom. I have only one word, this passage is fabulous. Cat visions is certainly the most beautiful song of the album!!! [10/10] [4] Midnight Tales – 6'08'' >> Play It very quickly with a very progressive style and relatively minimal with a slight kick. This moment is very nice and gives a certain tranquility to track. Time to be upset by the arrival around 2'44'' female voice very sensual and irresistible charm mixed with a melody with combinations synchronized. A melody enhanced by a guitar with string plucked. Around 3'35'', we note the presence of harmony awkward sounding acids which will result, thereafter, by fx very psychedelic like old school around 4'54''. The kick is, of course, more pronounced and the bass line is more rapid and severe. Indeed, the second part of this track is oriented more psytrance old school. A title inspired by an admirable group Infected Mushroom. Good job. [8/10] [5] Innocence – 7'20'' >> Play This track is quite poor because the music starts up very slow and the melodies are unfortunately not very attractive. Some passages still interesting like from 3'00'' to 3'50'' and from 5'20'' to 7'20'', but the whole is very limited. Only the murky ambience comes to hide the misery. [3/10] [6] Toward The Castle – 7'24'' >> Play This track is based on the 'full on' sound very basic like the music in Psydrop's album: Fantasy Seeds. Sound too commercial. Indeed, until 4'41'' melodies and bass lines are short and are dull and lack of personalities. However. Toward The Castle will be forgiven by a second part more convincingly by the use of sounds euphoric crescendo. A passage, more nervous, but too late. [6/10] [7] Mercenaries – 7'34'' >> Play The introduction lets us imagine a horde of mercenaries traveling along a river preparing to attack prominent. They are plentiful and bloodlust. The blades are sharpened ready for slicing throats and pierce the body. The ambience is the height. The sounds are extremely realistic. By against, concerning the song fundamentally, I find it monotonous and boring. The notes do not take off, the whole remains platonic. Some small intentions here and there, without finally lead to concrete. [2/10] [8] Might & Magic – 6'38'' >> Play We starts this music by a serenade: song medieval (troubadour = French appellation) where harp, lyre, cittern and flute, took a new life. Around 0'40'', it is suddenly nipped by a full on rhythm which in turn is affected by a melody around 1'21''. Full on sound, here is very stereotypical but highlighted by a strange atmosphere and through multiple fx successful. Unfortunately, there is a melody (short) in two parts of this track: around 1’21 and around 5’15. It's little and makes Might & Magic boring. [5/10] [9] From The Legend – 7'57'' >> Play This track is huge (G.R.E.A.T.). After four disappointing tracks, The Misted Muppet again invites us into their world. Dagan and Tal put the packet and excel their talent!! The pace is strong, the tempo is fast, the kick is strong, the music is dynamic but, especially psychedelic, thanks to the sound guitar very amplified and dominant. Each note reached the summits to give us dizzy. Around 5'15'' From The Legend is grandiose: psychedelic and euphoria complement each other to give us chills. The notes are added one after other like dominoes, creating very expressive melodies and bold. A delight! Infected Mushroom touch' is still present. [10/10] [10] Defender Of The Past – 2'15'' >> Play The last title is sumptuous. Initially, a guitar is represented by a set of scratches very soft, then joined by a piano. Here the piano is in the spotlight because it dominates the entire song. The keys are carefully supported, letting go melancholy and emotional notes. A violin is added on top where the strings are rubbed with tenderness. The addition of these 2 instruments makes the song exciting. Defender Of The Past announces the end credits of a film which would suggest that a sequel would be possible ... When the second album? [10/10] CONCLUSION From the legend is a good album. The music is inspired directly to Infected Mushroom and the atmosphere probably of The Lord Of The Rings and of Warcraft. The staging is very theatrical and similar to several small films. The beginning is pretty successful with the track from 1 to 4, and then deteriorates with the four following without being either catastrophic. Finally the album ends with a beauty From The Legend very impressive and Defender Of The Past, which seems to be a foot from nose to critics of goa trance proving that these artists are able to change registry if they wish. Bravo!!!!! RATING = 7.5/10 -
TWIST DREAMS Suntrip - 2007 PREAMBLE Here is the review of TWIST DREAMS, compilation released on 26th January 2007. The artwork is simply beautiful. A mix of painting and mosaic. The blue color which is dominant, is closely related to dreams, wisdom and serenity. The blue has a small side refreshing and pure which to find some inner calm. linked to the deep things. It means to travel across the sea and the horizon. The tree is directly related to the evolution of goa trance since its creation. The many branches and leaves represent the different styles of sounds like full on, morning trance, psy trance and more. However, we can not speak tree without referring to its roots, which plays a fundamental role. We are particularly sensitive to the origins of goa trance. It is also a vital means to live. Like the tree, we need goa trance for be amused us. Front cover created by Margot Schaefer has been intelligently chosen and fits perfectly with the ambience of this compilation. REVIEW [1] COSMIC SILENCE - Psy Spirit (8'01'') >> PLAY Michael Nadj demonstrates with talent that goa trance is a magical universe, sparkling and imaginative. The pace didn't provide patient. In just a minute, the tone is set: clap, kick and light percussion drilling, we bring the water to the mouth. This is the most progressive track!!!! Indeed, the melodies follow but are not alike. They are changing as we progress in time. Start simple and more complex to the end. In fact, it is very difficult to distinguish the beginning, middle and end because melodies are independent and orchestral well combined. We do not have time to be bored! The song is simply a marvel with its angelic sounds and sparkling melodies and floating. [10/10] [2] AEROSIS – Contorsion (9'04'') >> PLAY Aerosis created us a song oriented very old school. No doubt the title of the greatest psychedelic in this compilation !!! The sounds are very hard, metallic and acute, especially during the first 5 minutes (approximately) and then softened by being more attractive with the advent of effective melodies. 'Contortion' with its tortuous and rugged environment is undoubtedly the most successful track in its class new school. [10/10] [3] RED GRAVITY – Momentary 29 (7'28'') >> PLAY Extraordinary music with euphoric melodies that propel us on a fucking roller coaster. You would think to hear a song from 1996! First, during the first 3 minutes, the passage is mainly acid and the effects are strident. Around 3'01'', a fast melody manifests the effects of vibration shifts. Then around 4'15'', another melody enhanced by the effects of liquid with modules acids, call on us. The effects are impressive, many melodies breathtaking accompanied by a strong and lead rhythm. Thus 'Momentary 29 ' is a very dynamic and energetic embellished by fabulous stunning melodies. A sound that still vibrates in my ears. [10/10] [4] TALPA – Till We Meet Again (7'52'') >> PLAY Talpa invites us into a disturbing and unsettling atmosphere. His intro (give us the fear) that lasts one minute, immersed us in a story worthy Howard Phillips Lovecraft's tales. Sounds repeated noises rust, grinding drilling, small crackling, uncontrolled cuts like a broken record… uncontrolled cuts like a broken record ... this is a world in which Dracula, witches, myths and occult circles meet. The climate is heavy sometimes suffocating. The presence of the violin and organ exacerbate and accentuate this macabre and unhealthy atmosphere. Regarding melodies (introverted and serious), they lack a bit of sensitivity, which makes this track quite linear. ‘Till we meet again’ is undoubtedly the most original and most cinematic music. [6/10] [5] MERROW – Utopian Society (7'54'') >> PLAY This is the second super old school song after 'contortion'. Sublime momentseasoned of acids and hypnotic passages. Around 2'05'', the track becomes cosmic and aspire us in the loop space. All psychedelic dimension with its effects spirals move in our head. Merrow is amazing, we remain voiceless. The musical notes come to life and slip on the waves. Brice is talented and he will prove in the future, with his album Born Underwater. [10/10] [6] KHETZAL – Trancefuzion (8'32'') >> PLAY We continue the review with Matthew Chamoux. Trancefuzion, it's a title that combines the power with a rhythm more aggressive and the seraphic soft melodies. Indeed, this track is more mature, more detailed, more nervous, more acidic compared to his previous productions, while maintaining harmonious and heavenly melodies like Corolle. This contrast makes this way exciting and explosive. Obviously, the end (around 7'05'') remains the most memorable moment similar to a bouquet finale of a fireworks, leaving no respite for the calm ... Magnificent! What a pity, that the end is short. But beauty is fleeting. [10/10] [7] K.O.B. – Weight Of Oblivion (7'08'') >> PLAY K.O.B. is the Filteria ' side project standing for "Kind of Behaviour". Song rich in voice and full of effects. The melodies are non existent (almost). Everything rests on sound, rhythm and the fantastic voice of Klara Steiner. This track is very different the Jannis world with his multiple layers mélodieuse euphoric. Weight of oblivion is an interesting concept but not very attractive. [7/10] [8] AFGIN – Dimensional (8'48'') >> PLAY Here a track highly original where you trip into an epic fantasy. Dimensional is a music oriented morning trance accompanied by simple melodies, subtle, floating and less extraverted. There are a lot of similarity with MFG and California Sunshine. A return to the Israeli source majestically produced by Afgin. [10/10] [9] RA – Gates Of Tiphareth (6'04'') >> PLAY Ra brings us a touch of sensitivity by signing a very nice and melancholy music. The melodies are dominating, oriental and spellbinding. An ideal way to relax. The presence of the flute softens and accompanies this remarkably peaceful atmosphere. At times, this melody adds a touch of mystery. Gates Of Tiphareth which means the gates of beauty is the perfect definition of harmony and softness. [10/10] CONCLUSION The conclusion is very satisfying. I find this compilation almost perfect. TWIST DREAMS is great!!! Listening to this work, I have rediscovered the same flavors that made me dream in the 90's. The return of goa trance is possible thanks to the talented artists on this compilation. The only regret remains Talpa and K.O.B. it's good sound but lacks sensitivity and feeling emotional. This is the second compilation after successful APSARA (2005) signed Suntrip, a very promising label who has not finished growing up and making us dream. Thank you and congratulations to Jos and Fab. RATING = 9/10

Thanx a lot mate

For Diaks--- I totally agree with you. It is rare to like all musics in a release. There is always a track or two rotten or poor. But on this compilation, I really appreciated it. I found the tracks ' old school ' were always excellent and the tracks' new school' were generally very pleasant. After, Holymen is not a track I will listen all day. It's true that the sounds used are exaggerated and cheese, but I find it fun. Otherwise, I corrected my mistake. I had to be Zen when I wrote my review For GOA-HEAD---- Shame on me!!! It is a mistake. I corrected the score for ETNICA 10/10 of course

GOA TIMES Now And Then PREAMBLE I will show you GOA TIMES, production released on 14th June 2008, under the young label Shivlink Records, based in Delhi, India. The compilation presents 9 tracks and displays on the meter ~ 76 minutes of music. All starts with the eyes of this young and attractive woman, intent gaze and piercing, a blue so deep, that she doesn't leave us indifferent. She seems draw us beyond the clouds where aspire us to the depths. Anyway, it is the beginning of temptation and we have an idea in mind, that reveal her without wrinkling her in order to admire her beauty in all her splendor, a bit like the content of this digipack. Front cover tells us clearly the nature of the CD, namely, the pure goa trance with a beautiful sunrise, color tone of the orange one of the paradise beaches from Goa. The hip-swaying light of this lovely hippie, divided between meditation, trance and traditional dance, invites us to move. The container is very attractive with a tracklist of 9 musics, organized as follows: new / old. The difference age between these titles reached 11, 12 or even 13 years, the things we do not get younger (for some of us). This assimilation is amusing and instructive because it allows us to see the evolution flagrant our good old trance. In ‘new school’, we have the presence of AFGIN, LIQUID FLOW, ASTRANCER, GOASIA and in ‘old school’, we have the pleasure of listening or listen to again, old eminent artists who participated in the success and diversification of the goa trance since its inception as COSMOSIS, ETNICA, CHAKRA & EDI MIS, MANMADEMAN. HOLYMEN being the UFO, since it is a remix and an artist with a style more nitzhonot. TRACKLIST (1) AFGIN - Amanita [7’38’’] Elad Afgin - ‘Amanita’ begins with an introduction that sends us in a documentary of geography. A guided tour in a Hindu palace, the walls extended, parts excessive where the size and wealth are only a detail. A rhythm that makes us think of a spiritual walk in a remote place, a land far away accessible by roads inaccessible. The song is light & air, and the melodies are simple but well orchestrated. A nice moment to pass. [7/10] (2) ETNICA - Vimana [9’58’’] Maurizio Begotti, Max Lanfranconi - ‘Vimana’ is a monumental title. It is one of these exceptional tracks that describe perfectly the world trance goa music and inevitably, it is one of those tracks that cited to describe the word trance goa. The reason that prompts me to write these words, is its sound (fx trumpet) pest that we pierces the body with needles. A little further in time about 3'34'', the structure is completely crazy and detuned where the rhythm is disintegrated to the melody. Other memorable passages are to remember, especially to 5’32’’ with the incorporation of sounds Israeli and around 7’25’’ with its brilliant and unforgettable end. Major Art!!! [10/10] (3) LIQUID FLOW - Moderate Stimulation [7’27’’] Tomislav Savic - ‘Moderate Stimulation’ is a pleasant surprise. Nervous in the rhythm like a roller compressor, all power. A dynamic track, really well done despite some repetition concerning a melody style clubbing. But this flaw is hidden by using effects like ‘Another World’ by Astral Projection. The melodies are very expressive and offer us an ambience very electric, releasing a big energy ball. Appetizing!!! [10/10] (4) COSMOSIS - Gift Of The Gods [7’50’’] William Halsey - Cosmosis, a great name with the title ‘Gift Of The Gods’ from his famous album ‘Cosmology’ This track rhymes with mythical, psychedelic, metal, ultrasonic, acid and hypnotic. With its intro gross, which begins hub cap, this song takes us in a series of sounds very acid to make us grind teeth. [7.5/10] (5) ASTRANCER - Namaskara Mudra [9’52’’] Bruno Filizola - ‘Namaskara Mudra’ is made of sensitivity and lightness despite a rhythm enough fast. Sometimes linear but not boring, we are transported to the center of a forest populated by harmless animals where you can hear the clear ringing of a trickle of water that slips over the rocks. A track that gives us nature within our reach, an atmosphere made of wood, bark, mosses, trails, birds, smells. And then, around 7'04'', the arrival of a melody that stands out, causing a boost in the heart. A passage that draws our attention and makes us stop what we are doing. Music to be closer to nature. [9.5/10] (6) CHAKRA & EDI MIS - Final Mission [9’22’’] Eddie Mis, Rami Shapira - ‘Final Mission’ from ‘The Promised Land’ is not very expressive and exposes us to music introverted, simplistic and minimalist sound. We feel truly Israeli influences from the golden age of Goa. An old school track which took a few wrinkle but always pleasant. [6/10] (7) GOASIA - Paranormal Experience [8’44’’] Balint Tihamer, Vladislav Radulovic - ‘Paranormal Experience’ is rather disappointing. The whole is linear, repetitive and minimal, despite the boldness of an original melody which gives a lot of interest for this way ..... We don't take off (no real surprise), except near the end (around 5’31’’) where the track gets more interesting. For fans of Goasia, it is a title that remains the same and true to the mood of his album‘From Other Space’. [6.5/10] (8) MANMADEMAN - Athalon [7’09’’] Paul Baguley, Sonya Bailey - Attention to the ears!!!! ‘Athalon’ is music is for mental patient with uncontrolled gestures. It is with slime (still flowing) in the corner of my mouth I will describe this music geek. Here, it comes to style juicy acid: nuclear lemon pressed with an ultra-psychedelic structure that size us the eardrums with razor blades. We travel this labyrinth of acute sound with a very complex architecture, trying to find a way out (consistency). We note the passage too short from 2’34’’ till 3’28’ that causes us the wonder… damage that we can not found this kind of pleasant surprise, throughout this music. [7/10] (9) HOLYMEN - The Last Universe (End All Remix) [8’11’’] Holly A Shwartz - Behind ‘The Last Universe’ hides the famous soundtrack ‘Last Of The Mohicans’ (1992) with Daniel Day-Lewis. Music that stirs in us a warrior spirit. Although we are in a nitzhonot style, Overall is neat and sounds less cheesy than previous versions. Holymen puts us in a heroic film, cut by several acts we can distinguish very easily. Track which keeps us in suspense until the end with its many turns. [8.5/10] CONCLUSION GOA TIMES is reassuring, as we say that the succession is assured in order to continue to make us dream, dance, travel (trip) and perpetuate the traditions and the goa spirit. Great music in perspective, side OLD with the famous ‘Vimana’ by ETNICA tearing everything in its path and remains a reference but the same case for ‘Gift Of The Gods’ by COSMOSIS and MANMADEMAN with his ‘athalon’ in a psychedelic style. Compositions old but have not taken a single ride, generally. Regarding the new generation, some artists still need more mature and experience to produce great tracks. We note, however, the excellent ‘Moderate Stimulation’ by LIQUID FLOW, the good ‘Amanita’ by AFGIN and the very good ‘Namaskara Mudra’ by ASTRANCER. A compilation that would remind us that goa trance is not dead but it really changed with the arrival of new production equipment and technical. In this compilation, new school is more melodic, organized, structured, and linear, unlike his predecessor who showed more psychedelic, metallic. Finally, this work pays tribute to ancient artists, proof, they have shaped our minds and let us never forget. RATING = 8/10

SUNDROPS Light In Motion Preamble Each realise from Suntrip is a party, an expectation, excitement, surprise. It is a sentiment which becomes a pleasant habit since 2004, when the label which has become a benchmark for its goa trance. With Sundrop, the result is still different. Indeed, this fourth compilation, there is no question of uptempo or downtempo music but rather a combination between these two terms. It's very smooth. The psychedelic ambiences are long and dominant. The tracks are soft, with great restraint, making the works more floating, conventional and sentimental. Thus, Suntrip deliberately breaks this side too goa trance, too melodic, too euphoric in order to diversify. The artwork is a reflection of this delicious compilation, with its interface simple and plain which reminds us of the reddish colors of autumn and its sensitivity with micro details of light we open us the paths of light. This wonder will we brighten our sad daily lengthening our days, warming up our hearts, by illuminating our faces and extending a summer that we have ever had. Program, around the world in 8 destinations: USA, Israel, Romania, France, Belgium, England, Sweden and Norway. - Three Great Returns: Chi-ad, California Sunshine, Virtuart. - A new kid: Antares. - Four new school artists well known: Filteria, Ra, Artifact 303 et Aerosis. Only 8 tracks but only a total time over 74 minutes. Review [1] Chi.a.d - Sight of the Sages [7'17''] >> play We begin with a track as light as a cumulus. "Sight Of The Sages", plunges us into apainting of pastel, where the ocean and the sky touching to form the horizon. A perfect symmetry. A beautiful shot with songs of whales and dolphins. Pictures that gives us this track are heaven and interrogate us on the existential questions of life. Beautiful scene with its biblical landscapes. It makes us altitude but lack contour accents and details. This defect gives the first piece a side too platonic and amorphous, with some passages longuet (boring). We would have liked a few variations and endings to make it more attractive. 3.5/10 [2] California Sunshine - Oblivion [9'20''] >> play We continue our review with "Oblivion" which has many similarities with "Other Line". The track is vastly improved with more harmonious agreements, tribal scenes more effective and fx richer. California Sunshine we dress in anthropologist costume to study customs of a primitive tribe forgotten. The atmosphere is disturbing, suspense moves around this ritual, mixing witchcraft and belief. We are submerged in a sort of trance that grew in strength, hypnotized in a dizzying spiral. A tasty dish that keeps us in suspense until the end. 8/10 [3] Virtuart & Chronomyst - Zanchin [11'59''] >> play Here is a long episode of twelve minutes that transforms us in a state of evaporation. Very beautiful composition of the appearance "Psy Spirit" from Cosmic Silence. Transitions are numerous and adapt oneself to each other (in an obvious way). The environment used, makes me imagine constellations that light up in scintillating, featuring trails routes Feeding, a rain of galaxies and planets that revolve around us. Thus, astronomy is a science that has no secrets for us. A beautiful dream that transforms our room into a planetarium time to music. 10/10 [4] Aerosis - Lunar Effect [9'09''] >> play "Lunar Effect" begins with its sounds viscous liquid and globular which pierces muted. The suite is very nice despite a tempo enough fast. I found some similarities with "Atea" from Omegahertz but less cheesy. Sensitive melodies sparkling with great lightness and we carry in a Eden garden. A beautiful song that makes us positive. 7/10 [5] Artifact 303 - Energy Waves (Positive Mix) [9'00''] >> play We are witnessing a fierce battle space in a set where the infinite is horizon. An army of sophisticated vessels chase at the speed of light, slip away, brush, go into a spin and explode, in a cascade of meteorites which collide like electron. Laser fluorescent learned by these flying squadrons, shape of long light paths, illuminating the space. Intergalactic conquest is ruthless and leaves in its path, a heap of scrap metal still fuming. The rhythm is nervous, the effects are cosmic, sounds zigzag and a drop of acidity very acute. The atmosphere is similar in style from Astral Projection but the melody used lacks flavor and roundness. "Energy Waves" It is, however, a music big show with many special effects well finished. 6/10 [6] Antares - Aurora [9'41''] >> play It is a very refreshing music where many droplets of water mint glide along our face, leaving behind a puff wet oxygen. I give him some similarities with Khetzal. The sound is clear and piercing as crystal and gives us chills. The atmosphere is both magical, fantastic and winter, bathed in a deep and fearful night with the impossible encounter between the moon and sun. The effects borrowed, we give the impression that the melodies are played on ice stalactites, and we refer to this perception of cold. "Aurora" reveals us the early morning light a rising sun. Ideal to start the day. 8/10 [7] Ra - Gateway Eight [8'50''] >> play Christer Borge-Lunde et Lars W. Lind here give us a real master stroke. If "Gateway Eight" should be included in an album, it would be undoubtedly 9th, with same style, same sensitivity, same feeling. The melody is strong in emotion, musical structure is robust, at a time, purring and very attractive. The basslines are heavy and act on our eyelids which fall in each beat.We seem to be in a surgical room between of experts hands, careful and precise gestures. We feel mesmerized and anaesthetized, our mind is in trust, our body is increased, our members numb, the trip is imminent to the dazzling light. 10/10 [8] Filteria - Back to Earth [9'00''] >> play The quiet strength. The shadow of Pleiadians has completely disappeared and the style borrowed is quite different. We will say something of Miranda especially from their album Phenomena. We are witnessing a sublime ballad nonchalant, full of discoveries and instructive. Thus, Jannis Tzikas tour us through "Back to Earth" several regions of our beautiful blue planet and make us aware of the fragility of our ecosystem. We sink into the tropical jungle, we climbe the mountains, we contemplate the geysers, we flew over deserts, it's a trip without borders. The rhythmic structure is similar to a clock, mechanism well oiled which leaving to escape the second, without being able to catch up. The hand file and winds, time is short before the disappearance of our land. 10/10 Conclusion Suntrip succeeds his bet, those of walking us on a cloud. We teleports to an imaginary world, in order to give us a small parenthesis in a world that I find sometimes shitty and the clock is sometimes painful. Sundrop is a real success. The songs are good and interesting because of delicacy, sensitivity, poetry and lightness. Everything suggests that the new school resources are not yet exhausted. Suntrip creator of dreams. RATING = 8/10 My favorite tracks: 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8

Merr0w - Born Underwater :posford:

Merr0w – Born Underwater [suntrip - 2009] Preamble After producing Utopian Society on Twist Dreams in 2007 and Pixelized Sight on Freshly Cut Tomato in 2008, Brice Fruyt finally released his first album he makes in 2 years. A work careful but necessary. I'm particularly attracted by the world he has created on this CD. Born Underwater is a collection of 10 short stories that relate to aquatic myths. First, the nymphs were Merrow from Ireland, the female divinities of rare beauty. They charmed humans, through their songs piercing and their voices intoxicating, to draw them into the water where they drown. Maybe this album would contain songs nymphs? The little mermaid naked on the artwork seemed to repeat his act spell on us. Maybe she wants us to draw on this background that we see vaguely remains probably belonging to the city of Atlantis. The places are certainly kept by Poseïdon which shouldn't be far away and do not like foreigners. To discover this civilization, listen very carefully to these mysterious tales told by Brice. Tracklisting [01] Lured By The Nymphs - 2'25'' >>play In this small intro, whose title Lured By The Nymphs reminds us many the meeting of Ulysses and the Sirens in Homer's Odyssey, the atmosphere downtempo coincide with perfectly with the swell. We leave rocked on a raft to the rhythms of the drift waves. What was an illusion, at first, quickly becomes a reality. The voice of nymphs bewitched growing and seem to us clear a path in this vast blue. [02] Atlantis - 8'14'' >>play We are making progress in a remote Amazon with jungle noises. Atlantis is a track based effects swirling, spirals and hypnotics that could suggest that in the city sliding into the depths. A disaster that takes place in several stages punctuated by numerous breaks rich rebound. [7/10] [03] Rise Up To The Sun - 7'32'' >>play Rise Up To The Sun played in the originality and boldness. Yet, the magic doesn't realize in this track. The melodies used are quite bizarre and discordant, the effects are more twists and resonant. The first part is disappointing but the second part will bring more surprises. [3.5/10] [04] Born Underwater - 8'06'' >>play Born Underwater takes us into the depths to the distant and muted tones. The basslines and melodies that seem to come from the bottomlands of the oceans, increasing the tone, style crescendo like to go back to the surface like air bubbles. This music needs to live and must return to this pure air where it is carried and transmitted by the wind. The news will be announced like a share. A sound is being born in these waters and will revolutionize the trance goa music. Eurythmy melodies positive and sparkling give lots of round at this track which enlightens us. [10/10] [05] Aquarius - 8'36'' >>play A dynamic music inspired by Astral Projection. Quite minimal with great restraint. Aquarius doesn't explodes and gives effects of waiting, of surprise and suspense, thanks to its subtle primers. The speed of bpm (145) gives a large flow with a lot of stir. A continuous flow that could be characterized by a huge waterfall. The sudden arrival of this persistent and whistling sound like cry of a siren, proposes a side astral in an environment of constellations. [8.5/10] [06] The Pleiades - 8'30'' >>play The Pleiades for the story were 7 sisters, daughters of Atlas and Pleione (a water nymph), is a tribute to the famous group Pleiadian. A masterpiece spicy that propels us into a kingdom made of gods and myths. The Pleiades is an explosion of colors and sounds explosives. During the basseline sink into the depths, melodies rise beyond the euphoric waves creating a universe interstellar and energy. [8/10] [07] Mermaid's Twin Sister - 6'42'' >>play The twin sister of the siren is just darker. She draws us into a spiral music unhealthy and evil. The bassline is serious and purring, the deviations of the musical notes are very close to giving a side minimal. A mermaid who has absolutely nothing to do with Ariel from Walt Disney. She is in the defect and therefore not common. Fatal woman, lighter who hypnotizes and seduces men blinded by her beauty. A fantasy of man .... may be that Freud could help me. [8/10] [08] Mind Blowing - 7'53'' >>play Mind Blowing is a rugged trail that reveals some intermittent flanges melodious on a bassline very homogeneous. Music that shows the divine power and strength titanic of Poseïdon. This ability to create storms, cyclones, tsunamis and other natural disasters that are translated here by a dizzying drop of whole notes, which we met our hear upside down. Melodies so excited, it transforms our ears very erogenous body. Music pest that sweeps everything in its path. [10/10] [09] Poseidon Lullaby - 8'11'' >>play A psychedelic whirlwind. The bassline from the beginning seems to be disturbed, scared seeking a way out. The waves up and down rapidly as a roller coaster with the effects of dissonance. The melodies softened the track and makes us reach for the stars with fingertips. Poseidon Lullaby we take up with very convincing acoustic transformations. [8/10] [10] Blue Planet - 9'10'' >>play Cousteau team is complete on the Calypso for a shipment downtempo in the mainland blue. Blue Planet is a diving excursion where progress is slow. A nice postcard of the seabed which makes us aware of the dangers of humans on our planet. There isn't need to write anything else, the images provide us with this track, enough to move us. [8/10] Conclusion Merr0w is as much at home in the refinements sound as in the demonstrations of power and virtuosity. He shows us, with great skill and engineering, his capabilities stainless goa sounds. He reminds me, without doubt, the famous weavers who mingled and intertwined with wool or other textile to produce various fabrics. The comparison smile but is not so trivial that we think. In the same way, he mixes the melodies, woven bars measures, braid notes. It is complex like a yard several pieces scattered here and there, but the result is extra and ethereal. Born Underwater is an album that awakens our 'taste' hearing. The many sounds psychedelic released by Merrow crossing our sensitive ears, spread throughout the body, spreading like a virus in the brain into the lower cavity, disconnect our nervous system condemning us to a very colorful and hypnotic visions. Our neurons are infected and affected. Our mental faculties have vanished and give us the feeling of being in a state of levitation.Brice created a work neuroleptic very successful. Pleiadian's shadow is rooted in some parts of the work, especially in the name of track 6 The Pleiades (referring to the Italian artists) and some sounds like Atlantis or Mind Blowing; evidence that this group has shaped our minds and was one of the stones of the building goa. Style included, of course, inspired and brought up to date. Born Underwater plunges us into a world of water. The liquid fluid and soft that we isolated from the world when we immerse 'inside'. Perhaps this is one of several methods of abstraction to isolate themselves in our daily lives? However, water is probably the only and rare solution that offers us the sensation of floater, to be levitate and certainly the effect that Brice wanted to give us. Our planet has no secrets for us. We have mastered the element of water since the dawn of time, without difficulty navigating the oceans. We have designated, located, defined and studied. Yet we know only a part of this world of silence. Beyond the surface, close to the bottom of the abyss, counter, crevices, pits are still unexplored. Maybe Brice is one of those artists from unknown depths who have other resources imaginative ... My personal view This album is a success. For those who enjoy the achievements of Suntrip that sounds pure goa trance, this work is for you. Atlantis, Born Underwater, Aquarius, The Pleiades, Mermaid's Twin Sister, Mind Blowing, Poseidon Lullaby and Blue Planet are simply outstanding. Those are real bulldozer ravaging everything. Among these wonders, Blue Planet which is a very good dream, frustrated to me. The melody of the sixth minutes prepares us psychologically to ecstasy. We expect a memorable and brilliant end but unfortunately will not ever. Regarding Atlantis which is very good, I think there are too many breaks and a recurrence of sounds tired and slowed down the rhythm of the song. However, the track is very pleasant. I conclude with the way that I find the smallest way: Rise Up To The Sun. We segregates very well the ambience of Brice used but the melodies are not attractive. I find disparate except from 4'36'' in which the track takes a different turn and becomes more interesting. RATING: 8/10

I think that we have the same tastes. You'll not be disappointed by this album (I hope) This album was a big surprise because I didn't know the tracks (no samples archive like saikosounds) I was lucky 1 Deeper Level - 7/10 2 Tiny Little Box - 9/10 3 Electro Pipe - 7/10 4 Portals Of Time - 7.5/10 5 Heavy Sync - 4/10 6 Hand Full Of Stars - 6/10 7 Monochrome - 5/10 8 Mind Puzzle - 9.5/10 9 Tripticon - 8/10 You will notice an error. HOUSE OF DREAMS - A Galaxy Of Psychedelic Trance discogs link Dance CD (1:13:33) 1.01 Spectral "Celtic Alchemy" (Nothing Is True Mix) (6:25) 1.02 Slinky Nuns "Shitty Stick" (Better Than A Poke In The Eye With A) (7:50) 1.03 Cydonia "Freakshow" (7:28) 1.04 Transwave "Anahata" (6:50) 1.05 Axis Mundi "Cybercheese" (7:02) 1.06 Slinky Wizard "Funkus Munkus" (8:41) 1.07 Total Eclipse "Technophobia" (8:14) 1.08 Electric Universe "Online Information" (6:32) 1.09 Typhoon "Overture" (8:04) 1.10 Excess Head "Gridlock" (6:23) Ambient CD (1:14:43) 2.01 Biosphere "Phantasm" (4:52) 2.02 Astral Engineering "NGC" (7:46) 2.03 Solaris "Dreamwaves" (8:16) 2.04 Shine "Thiyhu" (9:12) 2.05 A.M. Synaptic "Flux" (7:42) 2.06 Cosa "Digging Malokite" (4:03) 2.07 Lobe "Placebo" (7:02) 2.08 Total Eclipse "51 Pegasus" (8:10) 2.09 Excess Head "Rescue Bubbles" (7:09) 2.10 Firefly "Objective Light" (10:26) Good compilation of 2 CDs (CD1: trance goa/CD2: downtempo). A concept that reminds us of Total Eclipse's album: "Violent Relaxation". The first CD "dance" is composed of several masterpieces. The sound is old, but it retains all its charm and its strength. It's always a pleasure to listen to great tracks like Spectral, Cydonia, Transwave, Slinky Wizard, Electric Universe, Typhoon. I was very surprised by the way 2 and 10 that I didn't know and that I find really successful However, the track Axis Mundi and Total Eclipse are very average. Rating: 7/10 The second CD "Ambient" is very pleasant on the whole. I discovered fabulous music like A.M. Synaptik, Cosa and Lobe that I recommend. Otherwise, Biosphere, Solaris, Astral Engineering and Total Eclipse are good (that's all) and finally Firefly, Excess Head, Shine are disappointing and boring. However, the ambience provided by this section is very accomplished. We have the impression of being transported on a cloud. A tranquil moment to pass. Rating: 5.5/10 In conclusion: This compilation is good but not exceptional. Most tracks in the first CD's available on other compilations. The second CD is interesting and relaxing.
