CinderVOMIT - The Beast Within Album: The Beast Within Artist: CinderVOMIT Genre: Darkpsy, Psycore, Experimental Size: 335MB License: CC Price: Free and Donations (The artist is raising money to help fight off his disease. Help support him!) Track List: 01 - Is This a Dream??? 02 - Inside Out 03 - Absence of Light 04 - Walk Through Walls 05 - Nuclear Tuna!!! [Feat. EkimSkrid] 06 - Whispers 07 - The End 08 - The Trinity Through Infinity 09 - Mama Mimosa 10 - In A World Of My Own A celestial tower climbs far into space, spiraling towards another dimension full of distant, shadowy figures that shatter the souls of the living. An evil rests at the very top, waiting and craving for something to discover its horrifying lair. As travelers approach the end of the structure, interested and curious about the alluring tower, a strange figure begins to boast its bellowing laugh. The ground beneath their feet shakes, and an unknown entity rises from hell to engulf the reality they so desperately attempt to live in. Slime covers their bodies and pulls them downwards into oblivion, sinking them into nothingness. They cry and scream for help, but high in the caverns of the castle, no soul exists to hear their pleas. The eyes of the beholder melts their brains as the acid tears them apart. They make one last gasp, and go insane as the world around them implodes from the beast within. I find myself knees deep in complete terror. Ever curious, I listen carefully as I am carried through a universe of melting shadows, untold legends, and exotic creatures from the deepest depths of unknown worlds. Surrounded by pure, thick, and juicy soundscapes, the mystifying and intense stragness of this experience pulls me into confusion, chaos, and bewilderment. CinderVOMIT maniacally twists knobs, rapidly tips and taps on keys, and organizes the thoughts from his journeys into nothing short from a spectacular masterpiece. Truly, the road opened is an innovative, original, and simply incredible opportunity for any psychedelic connoisseur. I approached this album with an open mind, surrounded by nothing but a dimly lit candle in the corner of my room. I put on my headphones, closed my eyes, and a wave of color raced across my mind. It is rare for an album to put me into such a true form of trance. It is scary, hideous, and almost makes me scream as if I am waking up from a nightmare only to realize it was all a dream. In fact, I jumped at one moment and realized I was asleep. It took me somewhere in my mind I have never been before. The psychedelic spectrum is only one good thing about this incredible album. In fact, I can't find anything wrong with it. There are many, many good things. A series of well thought out, mastered, heavy bass lines carry a terrorcore theme against slowly evolving pads and steady synths. It is all quite beautiful. I never knew what was going to pop up from beneath the intricate layers of glorious creations embedded into vibrations. Every track features a different BPM, varying from 150 - 200. Wonderfully varied, I yearn for more at every second. I never want the journey to end. Through gorgeously crafted, mysterious soundscapes, this album blows light out of the world and lets in the darkness. If you are brave enough to experience it for yourself, you will be taken on a journey into an organic wilderness covered in mist where you will be alone, shaking, and turning your head in all directions in paranoia that some strange beast is out to get you and rip you to pieces. Being greeted by this atrocity is entirely up to you. Your going to have to run through the violent world and explore the isolated landscape to come across discoveries never before understood, until now. Maybe you too will come across the tower and climb high into the night until the seemingly endless hallways come to an end. It is quite possibly one of the best albums I have ever listened to. As terrifying as It may seem, the album itself is extremely enjoyable. I love the beats. I love the voices. I love the progression. I love the sounds. I love the vibes. I love every single thing about this album. I can not get enough of the beats used here. The Trinity Through Infinity, for example, has some of the greatest sounds I have ever heard. There are different perspectives, sure, but all in all the music is so tasty, engulfing, and addicting that you will love it. It is certainly a more advance album, offering more than the casual listener looks for. Go into it thinking outside the box. Let it take your reality and twist it up. Challenge your boundaries and bend the rules a bit. It will be well worth it. Only then will you truly understand what The Beast Within is. 10/10 Download here on Bandcamp (MP3, FLAC, WAV) - Review by FatKidWitaJetPak (Nick Sumbles) - Special Thank to Bandcamp for the download bandwidth. - Special Thanks to Jellyfish Frequency Recordings for the review request.

Album: Tech Tactics Artist: Various Artists Genre: Psycore Size: 215MB License: CC Price: Free and Donations Track List: 01 - Killawatt - The Joint 02 - Pastor John - HD204958B 03 - Dr. Bops - Machine Music 04 - HighStyle - Alien Alphabet 05 - Telepathy - Trouble 06 - Anubis - Inner Revelation 07 - Paralocks - Tactical Error 08 - Fright Rate - More Power 09 - Neonglo - Mirrored Benches 10 - Organoise - String Theory 11 - Gamba - Mindmatter For various artists albums, I feel it is nessesarry to offer my thoughts on each individual track to give everyone specific attention and feedback. Let’s start with the first creation, “The Joint” and move on throughout the album “Tech Tactics” The Joint Juicy and engulfing, like a typical danceable high-tech song should be. This is a song that can easily be applied on dance floors. The beat in the background changes off and on, keeping the flow going. Robot gargling synth textures chew up and spit out the bass occasionally and glitch things up, offering some interesting qualities that make this track unique. Well mastered, clean, well done. Great theme with the vocals about drugs. HD204958B This has a great buildup and intro, continuing a danceable, high energy mood left from the last track. Again, well chosen voice sampling is used for a great atmosphere. My head and heart cant stop bobbing to this fast paced action scene. There is a lot more percussion elements used here, adding a few extra enjoyable layers of sound. I can definitely hear the well mastered attitude here as well. Props to the clear quality! That is needed for DJs. Machine Music I now realize everyone is using kickass vocals here. I love that, it really adds that super special “this music is awesome” factor. Like the first two tracks, Machine Music is intense and fast paced. It does, however, have the best buildup I have heard in this album, so far. It lets you take a breath right before it says “the correct answer is” and moves right back into heavy technical dance psy. Staying true to the original theme of the album, it pushes things a bit farther and puts a smile on my face. Alien Alphabet “Everyone knows thats what aliens sound like” hahah! Like the other tracks, Alien Alphabet is fast, clean, action packed, vocal injected, and energetic dance music. Any psycore loving club would enjoy this piece, certainly shredding the darkness with glowsticks and approving shrieks. Personally, I find the track to be extremely similar to the others, so there is not much else I can say. However, this is a good thing because if you love the others, you will love this. It seems these artists have come together to create this quick and fast style. Trouble The synth riffs are very well done in this track! The melody is perfect, includes some classic 8-bit instruments, and everything climaxes around the 7 minute marker to plant an exciting body throbbing seed of euphoria in my brain. This is what I expect technical, high energy music to do. Nothing is overdone in this track, its the best one I have heard so far. A very good mix. It moves like a professional dancer, where everyone cant help but keep staring. Inner Revelation I thought the doorbell used was pretty clever. The artist seems to like putting in neat sound effects rather than vocals. I also noticed the use of rising pads in many areas. I really enjoyed how these pads carried the progression. The small sections of melodic harmony were really kickass. The bass keeps the same tone throughout the track, however. It would be nice to switch it up a bit against the constantly changing synths. Overall, this song had an excellent soundest and followed the normal high energy psycore style this album expresses. Tactical Error Many high frequencies rattle my head in this track, but they are mixed well with a few relaxed, slower tempo moments that made areas like 4:10 even better. Masterful progression and mixing. I usually hate all high frequencies, but this track places them all around my head and uses a decently changing bass tempo. It would be nice to see a better mix of frequencies, however. The constant zips and zaps give me a headache at times. Don’t get me wrong, I just would like to see more of a variety in here. More Power This track has more of those lows needed to move the driving high frequency leads. I enjoy this track a bit more than the others simply because it innovates the style rather than repeat it. It builds many different sounds across different climaxes and buildups, surprising me at points. I love to be surprised. I dont want to expect what zippety zap comes next, because that gets boring. This is a very enjoyable track, carefully choosing what hypnotizing synth bombardment to release next. Engulfing and juicy. Well done! Mirrored Benches Another quality piece here. The sounds used in this track remind me of playing Earthbound. That changing baseline is a very nice touch. Organized, to the point, fast buildup, good climaxes, and an overall easily danceable psycore track. I enjoy the melody used at 2:50. It is considerably quirky and interesting. String Theory I find this track to be the best on the album. The starting bass immediately capture my attention. It is low and steady, crystal clear and sinister, and exciting. If I could pick a track that put together all of the ideas and visions expressed in this collaboration, it would be this one. It doesn’t overdo the zaps and whistles. It has a seemingly perfect foundation, including all these great sounds and glitches. It stops and starts at all the right moments, bringing in “wikki wikki”, a downtempo segment, and orgasmic finales. If I would play any of these at a club or save them in my favorites folder, this would be my first pick. Good job! Mindmatter Another similar track with a lot of beat mashing, synth bending, and video game bit sounds layered underneath vocals. Still, it is well mastered, well done, and clear, but it lacks a special innovative, varied touch. It stays with a constant beat, predictable progression, and extraordinarily similar instruments. It is almost as if everyone in the collar is using the same program with the same sounds. Mindmatter is a good track, but I feel the similarities between it and the other tracks makes it boring for me. That isn’t each individual artists fault, its just the simple fact that all of these same ideas are placed together into one long album. Its easy to understand the style after the third song. Then it gets too predictable. OVERALL: Zippety zaps, xippity zoos, zappady waddas, and other collections of electrifying, jolting intensions of hard high end synths lead every song in Tech Tactics. Simply energizing, the 150+ BPM of each track is sure to make anyone want to dance. It can defintley explode crowds, twisting their bodies all over the dance floor. If you like the first track, your going to like the second, and your going to like the third, and fourth, and every other one after that. There isn’t very much variety in here, however each piece is well mastered, powerful, fast-paced, explosive, and intense. The solid bass textures can easily shake you and move you. If you are looking for more variety, then most of this album is not for you. It has picked a series of quality psycore tracks that follow the same attitude with a lot of extremely similar, heart-attack inducing, energetic synth leads. Although, there are a few unique innovations in here that go beyond the typical theme presented. String Theory, being one of them, is my favorite track on here. I strongly recommend each artist take a listen to the album and try to think outside the box… what else can you do to capture the attention of listeners? What methods should be used to add variety? I would suggest slowing down things at points, adding more ambience and unexpected drops to really buildup suspense and then hit it hard with some good ole energetic psycore! Its all about the euphoria. Keep in mind, this is my opinion, but I feel there is still a lot of room for improvement in terms of developing your individual styles! Keep up the research and production guys. 8/10 Download here on Ektoplazm (MP3, FLAC, WAV) - Review by FatKidWitaJetPak (Nick Sumbles) - Special Thank to Ektoplazm for the download bandwidth.

CeZZers – Expanded Horizons Album: Expanded Horizons Artist: CeZZers Genre: Progressive Size: 68MB License: CC Price: Free and Donations Track List: 01 - Expanded Mind Ride 02 - Content Of Mind 03 - Expanded Horizons 04 - Free Ride “With the click of a mouse, a brilliant idea can circle the globe in seconds… expanding horizons” A very relaxing, chill atmospheric album that always offers a great intro meant to bring good vibes into any listeners heart. Nice and steady BPMs surround the buildup at every second, always making me feel smooth and happy. The psydub bass influences are really catchy and addicting attitude. There are a few things I would like to see changed, however. The first track seems to stop too soon. It would be nice to hear a bit more, developing that sweet bass line into something totally different while keeping the original icy flow. I really like how the second track offers this different pace, doubling up the bass and changing the vibe while keeping the vision of the album. This may be coming from someone who is use to hearing tracks that are longer than five minutes, but many of we psy fans enjoy a track that keeps a particular catchiness and engulfness for a time longer than five minutes. Still, it adds great replay ability to it, which is a theory commonly practiced by many producers. Keep doing what your doing. Anyway, continuing with the second track, i was very surprised when it jumped into a middle-eastern style… then I read you are from Israel and it made a bit more since haha. I loved it. You kept rocking that sweet double bass against a backbone of neat voices, followed by an awesome popping synth to carry on the idea. Simply done with a few wonderful touches. Well done! Something new is offered each track, and I really enjoy the guitars and more complicated production on the third one. A great addition to anyones Downtempo / Progressive collection. I can definitely see myself playing this on the dance floor to tone down things a bit. Its always good to take a break from faster music. Did you purposely make each track a bit more complicated than the last, adding length in the process? Is that why this album is called “Expanded Horizons,” because it adds more and more as the album progresses? If so, it is something I noticed. It starts out fairly minimal, then goes onto add layer after layer of juicy bass and danceable note plucks. The great thing is, it never gets too overpowering! Keep it up guys, explore the universe of sound and introduce us to it. You are pioneers, searching for land unknown in the infinite universe that is vibrations. From marketing experiences, I recommend using album art that is a bit more unique. We all have seen fields of green with tiny paths on it. There is a lot of music on here, and psychologically we automatically are looking either for genre names or, more commonly, really awesome looking album art. If you notice, some of the highest downloaded albums on here have cool album art. Judging the book by the cover is one thing, but album art should not only look cool but express your intentions and visions. Try to find someone who can hand draw the best thought that comes to mind when listening to this album. For me, it would be a monk sitting on top of a very large mountain while staring into the eyes of a caterpillar. Something like that. Just a littler offer of feedback. Great album guys. 9/10 Download here on Ektoplazm (MP3, FLAC, WAV) - Review by FatKidWitaJetPak (Nick Sumbles) - Special Thank to Ektoplazm for the download bandwidth.

I love listening to early Ambient / Drone production. Steve Roach is definitely a prominent playback for me. His tribal, hypnotic, engulfing compositions always leave me craving for more. I also enjoy Carbon Based Lifeforms, Brian Eno, and a whole lot of other guys. As for current ambience, I thoroughly enjoy Solar Fields. He makes a lot of psychedelic albums centered around constantly changing themes that progress into a steady chill axing beatline.. He also has a few full on albums.

Album: Ubikvad Omniheita Artist: Spruce Genre: Forest, Darkpsy, Experimental Size: 335MB License: CC Price: Free and Donations Track List: 01 - Wahdat Al-Wujud (10:11) 02 - Tzimtzum Samioza (9:12) 03 - Das Herz Dialektik (13:39) 04 - Fu Shang De Fei Di (13:43) 05 - Sensory Mirage (8:11) 06 - Advaita Gita (12:58) 07 - Rgyud (11:34) 08 - Ya-O-Yorozu No Kami (10:52) 09 - Yggdrassil Ormurholur (10:06) 10 - Matryoshka Fraktali (8:01) 11 - M (7:24) 12 - La Nausee (10:06) 13 - Yarindin (25:27) 14 - Comhbhailigh Eigrioch (20:35) Through the distant fields of the universe, unknown spectrums of ever-increasing intensity and roaring chaos coexist with a single thought, an idea containing different perspectives across multiple dimensions. This vision contains a soundscape of strange, mystic terrors crashing into stars, engulfing matter, and erupting into something our world has never seen before. Some call it insanity. Others call it brilliance. Whatever the case, its unique, a legend beckoning everything and everyone to fall into its welcoming grasp. This is Ubikvad Omniheita. Ubikvad Omniheita is a very advanced, Psytrance album that takes any listener on an epic, three hour journey through unconventional and extremley original sounds and beat patterns. There is simply no way anyone can expect what comes next. Using over two hundred different electronically programmed instruments, psychedelic artist Spruce takes us on an absolutely engulfing experience through his mind. Distant melodies, chitter chatter of crowds, and in-your-face euphoric and heavy bass lines are scattered amongst the perfectly pieced together tracks, all put together into one brilliant masterpiece. In David Falao Gjølstad's last album, "Origin," we were introduced to a new, very strange style. People compared it to the works of Psychovsky, but noticed the music developed into something completely different. People loved it, earning the album a 95% rating on Ektoplazm, a critically announced psychedelic community offering hundreds of different albums spanning across 20+ psychedelic genres in the current eastern electronic music movement. Even though his previous release was awe-inspiring to producers everywhere, he somehow managed to create, yet again, something even better. Brain screwing layers of interesting percussion soundscape buildups, intense movements of growing and developing synths mixed with beautifully composed pads, voice samples of strange creatures chatting amongst each other in the distance, quirky lows and highs shooting off into every direction against a wicked drum evolution, and enveloping communities of highly mastered and thought out art are splattered onto a wonderfully done canvas, crafting together the very passions expressed by Spruce. Tribal, dark, vicious, strange, beautiful, harmonic, chaotic, progressive, unexpected, heavy, light, engulfing, relaxing, atmospheric, exotic, addictive, and epic are only a few words that come to mind when I take a listen to this incredible collection of professional done journeys. It is impossible for me to talk about every song in here. There are multiple intros in each song, building up different vibes and moods that can either collapse randomly and move onto something else or melodically adjust into an organized structure. Then, all of a sudden, sound without definition erupts from the darkness and obliterates your prediction on what you think is going to happen. You will be surprised and delighted at every turn. Even as a sound programmer, there are times when I have no idea what the hell is going on… and I fucking love it. If you want to start off with a sample, listen to the track "Rgyud" (11:34). It has a bunch of stuff in it. Orchestration, ambience, heavy dark bass, light and beautiful pads, exotic arps and oscillations, and much, much more is presented in there. I mean my God, I can not understand how anyone can come up with this. It is truly is ingenious. The next track, "Ya-O-Yorozu No Kame" has a more recognizable soundset, nesting in a steady danceable pace. It makes my body move and my head think. Even with a more conventional progression, this track still offers an undefined genre. Is it Trance? Is it Darkpsy? Is it Bluegrass? I don't know. All I know is that this guy has made some really fantastic tunes. As a DJ, I am going to enjoy giving the crowd a surprise with this one. Oh yeah, and the outros and transitions your going to hear from each track will blow you away. It takes a lot of time and effort to really appreciate this album. There is so much to explore. So much to understand. So much to experience. I can not fully express just how incredible I feel this album is. I am taken on a roller coaster of emotions, feeling happy, scared, sad, and eager all at the same time. All in all, its feels amazing. There is no way I can really express everything in this album. You have to listen to it for your self. An ingenious composition awaits, go out there and download it. I recommend listening to one song a time, taking it all in and breathing a bit before moving on. This is not for the faint hearted. Listen responsibly, the frequencies in the FLAC format are everywhere, and you can hurt your ears if you listen to it all in one sitting. Get ready to hear things you have never heard before. Your brain may not know how to take it. Enjoy, and feel the music. 10/10 Download here on Bandcamp (MP3, FLAC, WAV) - Review by FatKidWitaJetPak (Nick Sumbles) - Special Thank to Bandcamp for the download bandwidth.

My pleasure! The current innovation and evolution of the electronic and psychedelic movement in musical culture is simply outstanding. It is incredible to see how far music has come in the past 25 years, and I am currently doing all I can to research, interview, and compile together a series of discoveries into one big Psytrance Cultural oriented book with loads of art, music, and people. Everything is going to come together, and I am excited to put out my thoughts by reviewing and introducing people to music.

Shux - Garbage Marmalade Album: Garbage Marmalade Artist: Shux Genre: Forest, Darkpsy Size: 129MB License: CC Price: Free and Donations Track List: 01 - Ygg 02 - Kitty Batter 03 - Call Your Mother 04 - Glued 05 - Skep And Skein 06 - Noname 07 - Use Your Head 08 - Xylem At every corner, expect very different progressions far off from your typical music theory. Lead by a large set of strange, exotic, and industrial sounds, Shux offers a unique and interesting experience down a dark, psychedelic road filled with layer after layer of fitting voice samples, ever-changing bass structures, and immediate and unexpected quirkiness that can either take you on a trip or confuse you. Sometimes, there are a lot of high frequency climaxes that can really explode the track from heavy dance patterns to a simply twisted and upside down journey. The artist moves every idea with a series of nostalgic or totally new sounds, ranging from an original kitty frying experience to what I believe is Zelda. A large soundscape of powerful textures and awesomely-crazy synth arps surround these recordings, lifting your mind up a mountain of shadowy trees and colorful rivers. The best part about this journey is the fact it offers a well mastered, quality set of always-different tracks. If anything, you shouldn’t expect the usual styles presented in Darkpsy or Forest. Garbage Marmalade creates this awesome style, a style that can tear apart our perception on reality. I am going to definitely play this in clubs. As a DJ, I constantly search the world for original material. And boy oh boy, this is original. I thoroughly enjoy the sudo-three-dimensional concepts that experiment with the X, Y, and imaginary Z axises of sound. Put on headphones and you will hear what I am talking about. Everything revolves around your head and zooms straight into one ear and out the other. Garbage Marmalade is going to zap your brain into oblivion. There are some great, five star tracks here that truly make me say “What the actual fuck is going on” and I love it. If you enjoy being bemused, bewildered, confuzzled, or possibly traumatized by energetic, encompassing, and intricate worlds, this album is just for you. The style is overflowing with creative darkness, using synthesizers to paint an active, astronomical forest into a wicked soundscape. I would strongly recommend any forest lover dive deep into this ocean of magic. Its definitely interesting. You will hear alarm clocks, cats, bubbles, and a whole lot of other stuff. A truly original way to utilize the everyday sounds we hear, yet this album turns them into something entirely different. 10/10 Download here on Ektoplazm (MP3, FLAC, WAV) - Review by FatKidWitaJetPak (Nick Sumbles) - Special Thank to Ektoplazm for the download bandwidth.

Pavel Svimba – Space Babuska Album: Space Babuska Artist: Pavel Svimba Genre: Goa, Morning, Suomi Size: 163MB License: CC Price: Free and Donations Track List: 01 - Free Step On It! 02 - Space Babuska 03 - Cheese Garlic Story 04 - Bad Hair Day 05 - Narrow Shoulders 06 - Magnetic Fields 07 - Same Frequency Different Level 08 - Schrimp Cütter 09 - Pimputus 10 - Yellow Snail Man 11 - Lying Pyramid 12 - Fucking Brains 13 - Teknikal Problems Haha! This style is really happy and fun. I love it when people combine a funk atmosphere into the psychedelic spectrum, offering a really different way of developing progression throughout dance music. I can definitely dig each and every single track in this album. Easy to listen to, upbeat and chill, dance floor acceptable, and surprisingly brilliant mixes of funk and classic early psytrance influences blast through every guitar riff and goa tempo. It is so amazingly quirky and funky, offering a set of short and sweet progressive tracks. I have never really heard this “Suomi” thing before, but it is certainly something that can brighten up any day. Not only that, but the classiness in this offers replay ability again and again. I think I will always have this on my MP3 player, blasting it on my speakers while partying with friends. Some may think to themselves, “Oh, well, its just a beat against a typical funk background…” I thought this at first. After listening to the first two tracks, however, I realized it was much better than that. The producer puts in some really GREAT melodies mixed with unique and juicy psychedelic synths that go far beyond the funk genre. Yep, you heard me right, this is original funk. I didn’t think that existed. Combining famous styles is one thing, but combining famous style and making it your own with unique chord progressions and bootylicious baselines is another thing. That, and the instruments in this are all done amazingly well. The horns, guitars, and other conventional instruments blow me away. This album is simply a jewel and I can’t wait to try this out in my car. I want to see this used in movies, and if it isn’t I don’t want to live on this planet anymore. I find myself smiling at every track. I really want to dance. Hell, I really want to make other people dance. It’s just so danceable. I’m delighted every second, accompanied by a warm and sweet vibe that raises my spirits. It brings back a lot of classic memories of 90s Psytrance… now look what it has turned into! Don’t ever stop what you are doing guys, keep up the sexy work. 10/10 Download here on Ektoplazm (MP3, FLAC, WAV) - Review by FatKidWitaJetPak (Nick Sumbles) - Special Thank to Ektoplazm for the download bandwidth.

Album: Time 2 Live Artist: Inner Self Genre: Progressive, Full On Size: 94MB License: CC Price: Free and Donations Track List: 01 - Inner Self 02 - Sacred Ground 03 - Ancient Spirits 04 - Xingu This is a great album to start watching the sunrise with while heading to work. The tracks in here seem build a city of clay, bringing images of Middle Eastern culture from obvious Psytrance influences. It’s exciting, progressing the Morning Trance feel with delicious and heavy baselines, engulfing atmospheric buildups, and mind expanding layers of bongos, guitars, and a whole lot of thick synths that really glue everything together. The artist sure knows how to keep things interesting, dropping you off at a relaxation point before flying back to continue bobbing your head up and down through a danceable and colorful foundation. Time 2 Live – Inner Self does an FANTASTIC job at moving people. This can be played at any morning or nighttime scene, destined to bring crowds together for an epic collaboration of movement. There will be dancing. In fact, there won’t just be dancing, there will be art. Glow sticks, fire twirling, neon dresses, and more should be filling any room with this brilliance lighting it up. If there isn’t, do yourself a favor and go crash a giant party truck in there and start handing out free glowing, sparkling, rave gadgetry. Why? Because everyone will go totally fucking bonkers to the vibes this music brings. Yes, thats a very, very good thing. The build ups are outstanding in this baby. Groovy, addicting, powerful, fitting, and simply orgasmic intros splatter the walls of each track, leading into some killer climaxes that can make any listener scream “Yahoo,” or whatever the cool kids are saying now a days. I am pleasantly surprised at every glance, welcoming the unexpected distant vocals and switched up bass lines. Oh, and by the way, the track “Sacred Ground” is my personal favorite. Like the other tracks, it offers an excellent and mastered set of electronic instruments. This particular song, however, builds up with a bodacious attitude, then around the 5:00 mark I feel an overwhelming sense of euphoria. Great job, you know progressive is good when you get all tingly. 10/10 Download here on Ektoplazm (MP3, FLAC, WAV) - Review by FatKidWitaJetPak (Nick Sumbles) - Special Thank to Ektoplazm for the download bandwidth.

Romeodark – Shadeflower Album: Shadeflower Artist: Romeodark Genre: Darkpsy, Forest, Psycore Size: 165MB License: CC Price: Free and Donations Track List: 01 - My Travel Into The Deep Sadness 02 - Snow Walkers 03 - Terra Of Cold 04 - Aural Hologram 05 - Crystal Save U 06 - Good Bye Night 07 - Hospitality 08 - Hysteria 09 - Intro 10 - Psynesthesia After listening to a lot of Psytrance, the typical intro with an expected forthcoming beat gets old after a while. I am always searching for that extra bit of spice to be added, craving a different mixture of heart throbbing ambience to start the mood. First impressions are sometimes very important, especially for an album meant to introduce doors of opportunity, opportunities that can lead listeners into a very rewarding journey. Romeodark – Shadeflower will delight any psychedelic enthusiast, building a series of wonderful tones and a mixture of light and dark to bring you a slowly building forest sound set. The beat keeps coming and going, accompanied by constantly changing, yet harmonic paces. It is easy to get lost in the music, and it will make you smile with a nice touch of euphoria. True forest is learned from experience rather than definition, as described by Ektoplazm. It has taken me a while to truly understand what that means, but this album has helped me understand that its more than the BPM and music theory. It has to do with the journey. Its about how you can close your eyes and climb through every dark and light corner of your mind as the vibrations in your ears twist and turn your reality into a deep, subconscious self-realization. It can take a while for this to happen, but this album is a definite must for anyone searching for this. I can feel myself growing to understand more and feel more. It opens minds. The composition is extremely unique. There is more than just dark beat patterns. There are melodies passing through every minute, offering a multitude of emotions and expressions. From the artist, in my perspective, I can feel his travels through depression. Walking through snow, staring into seemingly nothingness while trying to search for hope, only to find confusion and chaos. It is almost as if he is begging for others to listen and feel what he is. What words can not describe, his music can embrace. It is certainly up to the listener to interrupt what all of it means, but the great thing is it can mean anything. All in all, it simply causes you to feel… well, anything. The artist plants a seed into our minds, and then it explodes into a pretty awesome creation. Diversity at its finest is sewn into every stitch, neatly putting together a colorful and complex organism. This singularity, this album, is one of those “top of the charts” but “underrated masterpieces” that you have got to slow down and experience. Every piece is vastly different from one another, ranging from 150BPM to 200BPM. when Jellyfish Recordings say his style is like no other, they really do mean it. Download this right now and get a mouth watering taste of true psychedelic juiciness. 10/10 Download here on Ektoplazm (MP3, FLAC, WAV) - Review by FatKidWitaJetPak (Nick Sumbles) - Special Thank to Ektoplazm for the download bandwidth.
