I hate sleeping a lot. I especially hate staying up all night because that usually means I wake up past the afternoon which isn't good because my whole schedule then revolves around night time, which isn't the best when I have college and stuff like that.

Well I was referring to your neogoa website, not the facebook page. I think it was either the neogoa discog that had the problem, or under description under your name... Ok I checked and it's under your discogs: http://www.discogs.com/artist/2045740-Richpa when I try to click on the neogoa link, it doesn't send me properly. Maybe you forgot to update the link? Anyways, I already know the link to your main site, so it isn't much of a problem for me.

I actually have Quietman's album on my list of things to listen to soon. I can't wait to hear it, I've already spoiled myself by listening to a song or two.

Hey Richpa, something I noticed when I was vising the neogoa discogs page is that the link to your site is either old or broken, you may want to fix that if you wish to.

Either get a pet spider, or get some Diatomaceous earth - both are healthy and simple to use.

Hahaha, oh man thanks for sharing this. I love that musical talk after they sing.

Pro Skater is another fun one. The amount of time I've wasted on that game and fooling around with the cheats. I remember my friends and I would purposely turn on cheats that had low gravity, flying, and so much other crazy stuff and see who could get the highest score that way. We would spin 10 minutes just on one trick because of the insane amount of grinding, flips, and stuff like that due to low gravity. Lots of fun.

Oh ya, totally forgot about that remix. A very nice one indeed.

What music are you listening to right now?

Hmm, ok Radi. Also just for future references, Art of Trance and Union Jack are different. Art of Trance is done by Simon Berry himself, while the older Union Jack project was with Simon Berry and Claudio Giussani, who is better known as Terra Ferma. The newer project is with Simon and another man, Paul Brogden who is better known as Pob or Clanger. Just so you know. @ma05683 Nice selection of tracks and good suggestions for albums to listen to. I only liked the first 4-5 volumes they released, after that it sort of lost my interest. But that was some time ago, maybe I should recheck the other volumes after 5.

Well that sucks, hopefully you get better. I can finally go outside without wearing a coat or jacket, but there still may be some snow coming What kind of shows do you enjoy watching?

Here is some of their recent stuff: https://soundcloud.com/platipusmusic/sets/loud-domestic-vinyl-sh-t-1 - I personally prefer the Terra Ferma over the original, but both have strengths in good ways. https://soundcloud.com/platipusmusic/sets/union-jack-gibbon-baboon https://soundcloud.com/platipusmusic/sets/art-of-trance-stratosphere - Terra Ferma in general seems to do lots of good remixes, it would be nice to see him actually produce some more singles though, but seeing him doing remixes is a good sign. https://soundcloud.com/platipusmusic/sets/art-of-trance-praxia-platipus https://soundcloud.com/platipusmusic/sets/union-jack-papillon-remixes

Union Jack is too happy and cheesy? Well then you are going to need to explain that one Radi, because I don't see Union Jack that way at all. If you claim that Union Jack is too happy, you better do some explaining why one of the most famous euro trance songs was Madagascar by Art of Trance, which I would claim is much more cheesier than any other song that UJ made. But what ever, I don't really care too much. Both are good artist. What are the best Platipus albums? Well that one is a bit tough since I love them all, haha. Well thing I have to say before i list my favorites is that Platipus has more singles releases than albums so there isn't a huge list to pick from. The other is that though I have lots of platipus stuff, I have yet to listen to all the albums and singles, despite having them in my library for a year or so. I'll do a top 5 list of the ones I have listened to, this is in no particular order: 1. Art Of Trance - Wildlife On One - I love every song on here, except for Gloria which is an okay track but I didn't like it as much. 2. Union Jack - There Will Be No Armageddon - This is probably one of my favorites albums of all time. Deciding a favorite track from this album is quite hard but I really do love Red Herring, Two Full Moons and a Trout and Lollipop Man 3. Terra Ferma - Turtle Crossing - Funny thing about this song is that when I first listened to it, apparently I didn't finish transferring all the files unto my phone so some of the songs weren't completely played and glitched which made me very unhappy. But eventually I figured out what happened and I finally did get to listen to all of it fully. I also really like this album, though I wouldn't have mind if the last several tracks weren't ambient but otherwise it's all good. 4. Moogwai - 5 Wishes & More - Now this album is a bit different than the rest of the Platipus records, but Moogwai is just another aliase of Chab who did some tracks with Platipus. While it is different from the rest, I really enjoy it for what it is. Warning for those who aren't the biggest fan of normal trance, this may not appeal to you (but I have a little secret which I hope you guys don't stone me for: I actually normal trance just as much as I like psy/goa. I like the uplifting stuff, the progressive stuff, and etc despite what some here may claim it being uninspired, boring, dumb down, and etc). 5. Union Jack - Pylon Pigs - So this is the new album (well it was released in 2009 but whatever) of Union Jack. This Union Jack is different than the one from the 90s, since it only has one of the original 2 members which I know some folks here claimed this being stupid and making UJ fake, but whatever. I really love the first track of this album, Papillon. I think it does a good job at capturing that vibe they had from many years ago. There is one slight problem with this album and that is there is quite a good amount of downtempo/ambient tracks. While I do like these genres, it would be nice to hear more trance stuff since I already have a good amount of ambient stuff. I also liked their last track, Funnelweb, for the same reason why I like Papillon.

That's always a good one to listen to. I can never stop listening to Utopia whenever I turn that track on. The last 2-3 minutes of that song is my favorite part of it. -
Ya I have to agree with you a lot. I really am digging the new sound of Platipus. It may not be like the 90s trance, but it has a similar vibe. I recommend checking out some of the other releases they have had. Some folks here have complained about the new Union Jack project because it doesn't have all the original members, but I liked their album they had from couple years ago. It may not have been all trance, but it had some nice sounds that I really could dig. Plus I can't really complain about Platipus since they also have been remastering and releasing their older stuff also. They are up to 6 archives of them now.

Here's actually a new track from Art of Trance, Loud, and Domestic that was released today:

I only have the Wii. Hmm, it seems pretty interesting though. But there is only one problem...it is 40-60 bucks new...yikes. I'll put it on hold when I get a more stable job. Money is a bit tight at the moment and I'm currently saving up for a x0xb0x. But maybe I could ask one of my friends if he has the game, since I know that he used to have lots of wii games and stuff like that. Sadly though I got the newer version of the wii, so I can't play gamecube games on it, but I guess there are workarounds (such as hacking the wii so I can install an emulator...). Nevermind I found one new for 20 bucks. Hmm, maybe I will buy it. We'll have to see.

I think all of Platipus Records, both old and new stuff, is pretty good. I really like their style of trance music. I get excited every time they post a new teaser on their soundcloud page. LOUD has recently been getting more involved with their record label, which is quite nice since I like their style of music.

I remember seeing the gif version on this on /mu/ maybe a year or two ago? Still a nice story to read/watch. But having never played the game, how is it? Is it something that still playable, or has it aged a bit (in a good or bad way?).
-
Another great choice JISNEGRO. I played that game to death, though I never played online because I didn't have internet connections at the time. I actually bought the HD release they made last year. Still is a lot of fun.
-
Oh ya, I totally forgot about the Half Life series, definitely another good set of games. Sadly, I have yet to play System Shock 2. I keep reminding myself I should check it out, but I for some reason just haven't yet.
-
Oh ya, forgot about Thief. Another childhood/teenage game I enjoyed a lot. I never played much of the first two though, but I did enjoy the third one. I recently got the first one to finish it up. The new one is ok if you are new to the series, but it is quite different from the originals. I didn't buy it because of that but I did watch a walkthrough and boy did they screw up the story. It's like they wrote a very short story that doesn't explain the background history of the characters, the situation, and a sudden cliff hanger. Yikes... I think it isn't going to do that well and they are going to call quits on the revival project, though I may be wrong. I also forgot to mention Halo. Man I wasted so much time on the Blood Gulch. Counter Strike was and is also fun.

So like the title states, what are your favorite video games and why? Some of my favorites are: Super Mario 64 Super Mario Galaxy Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap Deus Ex: Human Revolution Dark Souls 1 Need for Speed: Undercover Need for Speed: Most Wanted Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Knuckles Frogger Second Sight Elder Scroll Series Fallout Series Fire Emblem Civilization 3 and 4 and more that I can't think of at the moment... So why do I like them so much? I like them all for various reasons that are similar. One is the nostalgia factor, I can't deny that I do have some of it but hey some of the older games are awesome. A Link to the Past is probably my favorite of the Zelda series because it practically sets up how every other Zelda game works and plays, plus it is just good. Mario is something I have always loved (along with the rest of the Nintendo games). But I really love Galaxy. I love the worlds that they made and music! The music is just awespiring and inspiring. I love it so much, I sometimes turn on the game just to listen to it. Fire Emblem is something I played when I was younger and I loved the story of each game and the character development, plus I liked the fact that it is turn based. I like Civilization because of that reason also. Though 4 is newer, I prefer 3 more because I like the art style and I am more use to it. Need for Speed is sort of self-explanatory, it's a racing game how can you hate that, plus cop chases are fun. Sonic is something else I always enjoyed. But damn that Carnival level, never beat the game with Sonic because of that. I like the Elder Scrolls and Fallout series because of the freedom of choice, the effects of your choices, and the lore in general. The same thing with Dark Souls, but except that you have to do the exploring and thinking in Dark Souls to figure out the story. Plus I just love the combat (and the millions of deaths you have). Deus Ex is one of those games I fell in love with right away. I love cyperpunk theme stuff. So I like stuff like Blade Runner and other stuff. Deus Ex is quite good because of the story, the gameplay, and music. It seems to me that whenever the music is good, the game is usually good also. I love the atmosphere that is shown and built in this game and in Dark Souls. So what are your favorite games?
