  1. No offense to anyone, but man this thread is funny. Radi, why do your threads always in up like this?
  2. Ya, when I first saw this board, I was flipping out because I didn't know that they did. But then when I checked online and discogs, I found out they did not and this is just a discussion. I was so disappointed that day.
  3. Yep pretty much what tech said is true for all of us (though tech wasn't so modest when he said he is awesome ).
  4. I'm not sure about everyone else, but I will admit that I usually don't dance when listening to Goa. I am usually either driving, sitting at home, or whatever. It's not that I don't feel the beat, it's just I don't feel like getting up or something like that.
  5. Oh radi. I was trying to make a joke of why it's so loud.
  6. A bit cold (around 0 degrees Fahrenheit) here, but I have to finish my finals so currently listening to some Wizzy to get me going.
  7. Are you sure it isn't the cake? Because if there was not frosting, there would be nothing holding the cake together and it would fall apart (haha). I guess one reason is like what you mentioned, the layers. I guess another reason for me is that it's just plain pleasing to my ear. All the melodies and sounds go together so well. While sometimes I get bored or tired of listening to other genres, Goa is something that I can always just play and love no matter what mood or time it is.
  8. The reason why it's so loud in the clubs is because the regulars are already deaf, so they turn up the volume so that they can hear. Don't worry, just become a regular visitor of clubs, and you'll wont notice a thing
  9. Never knew that technosomy had it in himself. I guess you are a nice guy.
  10. Man, what will he do next? Psytrap? ahaha. Can someone explain me what's this more-minimal-than-psy that i've been seeing complained about? I haven't listened to much of 2010-2013 besides for most Goa stuff from Suntrip, Lyctum,, and Ovnimoon (and others that I can't remember at the moment but you get the idea).
  11. Like I said before, it isn't usually bad. But sometimes when it's quiet in the house and I start thinking about it, I become aware of it's existence, and that ringing noise appears and bothers me all day until I listen to music, forget about it, and/or go asleep. But I do realize that in some cases it can bother people's life really badly. I'm usually careful when it comes to music volumes, so I'm not to worry about it.
  12. For those who don't have tinnitus, you guys are lucky. I've had it ever since I was 8-10 years old. I never really noticed it (and still don't really noticed it) but I always that there was some sort of background noise in the air until I later learned about tinnitus. But luckily, it's not that bad for me and I can still function musically.
  13. Oh well thanks for the help! I've had my synth for a while now, but haven't done much music producing, mostly fooling around with the settings for hours. I've recently did a sort of a dub/downtempo track but sadly didn't have it recorded. Looks like I'll have to bring out my dusty pc which I've haven't touched in a year ever since I got a laptop from a friend.
  14. Ooooooooooohhhhhhhh, hahahahaha
  15. If it isn't too much to ask, how is this done exactly?
  16. Been going through Vibrasphere again, it never gets old.
  17. Man that looks really nice. How do you get all that recorded into your pc?
  18. (I'm assuming you are referring to the Bass Station when you said "this"). But ya, that is a hard choice. I read that there may be another brute, which may basically be a combination of the mini and the microbrute. I know that the microbrute is a bit limited (one osc) but I've seen some vids which show that there are some work arounds that, so it's not all that bad. I've heard that the Machine Drum is really nice, probably something I'll look into after some time soon.
  19. I got the Novation Bass Station II. I know that it ain't a modular synth, but it does a good job for what it is. I spent probably 30 minutes earlier just on building atmosphere and background/ambient type noises.
  20. So I finally got my synthesizer. Man is it fun. I spent an hour just playing around with the presets (just to see how it sounds) and then found an acid like sound. Oh boy did I have fun, playing melodies and screwing around.
  21. That sounds quite good considering how most of it was made. How long did it take to make a track like that?
  22. Hahaha, I love how these types of threads always end up.
  23. Who are the Federation? Well it's a group made up by Solarstone (who is quite famous in the trance scene) and Ben Lost (who did some tracks in the past with Solarstone and is currently working with Lost Language label company) along with other folks. They try to make trance music with rock, and to create a more darker mood than what Solarstone usually does (which in short is more of a happier mood). Here are some tracks: What do you guys think? It may not be a typical cup of tea of everyone else, but I have to say that I did enjoy the songs when I heard them. Some of the remixes of their songs are also pretty good.
  24. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51NzrTHPWEI This song (and album) is awesome every time I hear it.
  25. Well what kind of dubstep are you talking about? If you are talking about the modern sound with "crazy bass" and "crazy drops" then ya it's stupid. This song is the kind of dubstep that I sometimes listen to, usually referred to real dubstep from what I read from folks that like it.
