To me yes they are different but mostly I fin 2 is lest Nitzho than the others. I still really enjoy. It my hour of Sita power during my set on Sunday morning definitely got ppl back up & dancing. Also lots of hands in the air moments wasn't a straight up psy/goa crowd so most thought it was just trance.

I can appreciate it musically, I got the downloads so never had to unwrap them, but I'd rather these go to a collector who will love them. THe money I make back from the sale will be spent on on my wishlist (Global Sect & Sita Records).

I've got the 4 compilations sealed going for $10us each inc. postage to anywhere in the world. Sorry but this label just doesn't click with me sound wise.

I got fired as a store person at an electrical goods storei a few years back. I was taking a 70" tv to a customers car. My back was sore as it was late afternoon after a 6am start (the person for second shift hadn't turned up) & I was having trouble lifting the tv in to his car. He refused to help & said "come on! What are you? A weak homo? Out some muscle in to it!" And laughed with his idiot mate. I walked off after saying "I might be a weak homo but at least I'm not a dumb c#nt like you!". I managed to get a fair pay out for unfair dismissal as well as they had to cover 1 year of all costs relating to my back damage I'd sustained. I also reported them to the government for illegal work practices and they got a fine of a few hundred thousand sometimes it worth doing.

Just recovering from an early love making session listening to the Nervasystem album in bed with my wife snuggled up next to me. Nice way to start the weekend!

25% sorry. A quarter of the size with a smaller amount of keys. I spent a fair amount of time at my local synth shop chatting with the owner of the store. He pretty much said Korg are purchasing rights to rebuild a massive amount of vintage synths in an affordable miniture format for the new generations of musicians. The a MS-20 Mini showed there's a huge market in both the amateur and pro market. I mean NIN's synth player uses the mini MS-20 in his live setup.

Appreciation should always be given when it's deserved. I had all 3 compilations on in the hotel room on my iphone playing and my 2 year old son was dancing like a little raver! It's music that just makes me smile inside & out

Definitely mini. On gear slutz they did a comparison of the demo model from korg to the original & the demo was about .25% smaller at least.

I'm playing a set in Penang in Malaysia this weekend, 6am-10am requested old school Goa style. Gonna be mostly stuff from Anjuna, DAT & Zion604 but I'm thinking around 8am maybe doing an hour of Sita's stuff to peak up the dancefloor!

So yeah I've gotta admit the new generation of Goa hadn't blown me away much but the covers of Protozoa 1 & 2 grabbed me. I bought them in Feb & fell in love. I dunno what it is but these tunes stick in my head & make me wanna go in the studio after 4 months of producers block. So I got Protozoa 3 on Monday this week & it's even better than the first 2!! So as soon as my next pay comes I'll grab all the artist albums n new EP as well. It's also got me back in to the other labels (Suntrip etc.). I already own almost every Suntrip CD so it's good to get in to them properly. But yeah big thanks to the ppl behind Sita Records, I'm addicted like a meth junkie & want more More MORE!!!!

Great compilation but I absolutely despise the pathetic joke of a sample in the Space Elves track. It completely ruins what is a standout track for me. It's like Space Tribe who ruined so many tracks that would've been amazing instrumentals with lame ass samples. I had considered buying Space Elves album but once I heard this track I'm worried their album is full of lame samples on all the tracks so I'll avoid it.

Is there still a new Ra album this year?
-
Absolutely love this album. Far better than a lot of the modern Goa sound. I am excited to see what these lads can bring in the future! Full power!!

Just not finding it inspiring anymore. I think the MS-20 is more what I'm after, as well as the Korg Arp Odyssey mini coming out later this year. I'm also trying to go modular with the Pittsburgh Modular Foundation 3.

Currently studying a course in studio engineering. I've gotta tell you thatit's very true that unless the music comes in nicely mixed mastering isn't going to fix it. A turd is a turd no matter how many times it's polished. I recently worked as part of my course with a local heavy metal band. The reasona band costs so much is you actually need an engineer from the start to record, mix down & then master. Often the master is done elsewhere so a new set of ears can hear it. Even some bands like say Behemoth from Poland will have the guitars & bass recorded by an engineer who is expert in that area, drums are teacked by another and voclas another. Then final mix down & mastering down by someone else. I gave one of my tracks to my lecturer so he could demo mastering. for use the other day. I intentionally gave him an unfinished/poorly mixed version as he asked for it to prove that mastering only polishes what is alrwady there, it does not mix it down or fix the issues of structure etc. I would not pay for mastering until my music was on par with what is currently selling well.

Got my download from Bandcamp yesterday. Great CD. While Tribal Encore is my fav so far (Sandman track & Alien Lair ) this has some very nice sounds indeed. Tandu of course is amazing, but the Total Eclipse & Jaia are very nice as well!! -
Just be honest. Maybe tell him "hey mate, I'm sorry about the way I spoke to you the other night. I was feeling really tired & frustrated, it came out incorrectly and while what I meant the message I conveyed I didn't mean to say it that way. I understand if you're upset at me but I hope we can keep this professional and deal with it in an appropriate manner". Something like that. Whatever you do don't lie cause that pisses off ppl even more & don't make it just about keeping the job as that comes across as insincere. Good luck.

tracks that sound like they're missing at least 2 minutes?
Balance replied to Lemmiwinks's topic in General Psytrance
All of the Brainforest Remastered album. I dunno if it's just my version but every track just cuts out with about 6 seconds left & it gives an uncomfortable end. If they were remastered surely they could've at least faded them out gently or something. -
I can't sleep with much music on. It makes my heart rate too high. That said Steve Roach definitely gets me in to a sub-sleep dream state which allows my thought process to run more effectively therefore reducing anxiety & stress. I have to be in the mood though. I did fall asleep to my collection of Makyo tunes on my 'phones the other day & had some really weird dreams with very attractive woman in them. Anyway, yeah Steve Roach is great dream ambient music & I find a lot of his more subtle tunes heal the spirit & mind very well. A very nice man as well from my email chats.

Lying on my bed as it rains heavily outside & my son sleeps listening to VA - "Twist Dreams" (Suntrip) on my headphones. Deciding if I should sell my Moog Sub Phatty & get a Korg MS-20 mini instead...

Which Goa/NeoGoa artists have you seen live?
Balance replied to Shpongled247's topic in General Psytrance
Just caught up with an old mate from the 90's on the weekend. He used to make really nice minimal techno & acid house. He pulled out a bunch of old DAT that are full of really nice old Goa/Psy he'd made back then but never played or released. He used to have an amazing studio with all the top Korg/Roland/Moog & early modular gear back in the day. Anyway, it as rely nice stuff to hear. I have him the web sites of DAT, Anjuna & Zion604 to check out but he said he doesn't think he'll ever put it out to the public now. He was obviously heavily influenced by Simon P & the early Dragonfly Records sounds.
