Just got 3 more albums from Steve Roach so planning to put my son down for his nap shortly and chill out a bit. I finally had enough today when I got up & foudnthe kitchen bench covered in ants, and also found them taking crumbs from sons bedroom. Got a pest control bloke coming to do the inside & outside of our house on Thursday. I'm pretty sure they're nesting in the wall or something as they keep appearing in the kitchen but there's not trail from outside. Had a big figh with my wife abut it as she thinks it's my anxiety disorder & not the ants that are the prbolem, but I took time out to think rationally & to have them coming out of the wall in to the kitch desite sureface spray & bait, as well as in my sons (and our) bedroom upstairs just doesn;t sit right with me.

Saw Mr Cox do a 3-4 hour set on 4 decks near my residence 2 weeks ago. it was amazing, I was expecting him to do his current Ibiza style prog house etc. bit he did a slamming set of old school 90's techno, trance and industrial techno. 3 vinyl decks & 1 CDJ. Big smile on his face the whole time. I'd even managed to find my old raver pants from the 9's & they still fit!! Last time I'd seen him was in 1997 & it felt like I was back there albeit I'm now living in a house worth around $4 million AUD compared to squatting with friends back then

I had tickets to Boom myears & years back when I was back packing, then some wise-ass managed to steal my money back when I fell asleep on a train and I lost 'em. Biggest dissapointment of my life as I could in no way afford them again, i had no way to provide proof of purchase for reissue a I was on the way to said festival alreayd with no internet access. I'll never get to go now, or at least unless it's running in say anoth decade or two

Yeah that's awesome about the lecturers. i'm going through a big tech trance phase right now so ripping all my CDs while my son has his nap. Poor li'l boy has been distrubed by contrcution work down the road, wakes up crying then goes backto sleep. Looking forward to when he wakes and having super big cuddles. I don't think I have a major ant problem, just that there was a big trail on the kitchen bench yesterday morning that reall freaked me. Also they're getting in to the office downstairs where my DJ gear & Moog are residing. Put an Ant Rid bait down this morning so will see how that goes. Di thingy earth seems hard to get here in Austraia. I've tried both talcum powder & Ant Sand which didn't really help, so far using surface spray on the edge of the kitchen bench seems to have them on hold. Our new house doesn;t have a concrete drive way yet so is just dirt & clay, I see lots of nests there so I'm hoping when we get the driveway excavated & sealed with concrete it my deter them a bit. Mostly I think my anxiety condition is not helping at all, as probably most people would see this as a small problem. I am loathe to get pest control in as well because ants being relatively harmless do help keep other bugs in the house under control.

Haha referring to myself. I had a proper Mohawk with the TIP symbol shaved in on the side for about 6 months (then I got too lazy to manage it).

My wife was watching some commercial gardening show a year or so ago on tv. I was happily ignoring it's existence until I heard Shpongle playing. It was pretty cool to see on of the biggest commercial gardenin shows spinning Shpongle. In 2001 I was asked to fill in at a trendy cafe a mate owned as the regular dj was sick. So I spun 4 hours of Tantrance 1-8. I'll never forget the confused look of what now many would call hipsters faces as Mahadeva blasted at 9am in the morning, while some dude with a Mohawk & Space Tribe tshirt danced like he was having a fit behind the decks in the middle of the cbd on a Saturday.

Trying to decide if it's worth getting my house treated by a pest controller for the damned ants. Got up yesterday to find the kitchen bench covered in th, and of all things they were going for the dishwashing detergent! Either they're desperate coz I keep the place spotless clean or they're just weirdo ants. Anyway, $350 seems like a lot but it should keep them away for a year, hopefully it can even clear them away permanently! Also hoping my packages of techtrance turn up soon as well as my 3 new albums from Steve Roach!!

VA - Protozoa 3 (2xCD, compilation)
Balance replied to Agneton's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
Will wait for it to be released via Psyshop. Sadly I've ordered from Beatspace 4-5 times & every time they sent at least 1-2 incorrect CDs. -
For that classic sound Tantrance 2. For quirky way out there psychedeliciousness Tantrance 6. I'm sure there are many more but those two for me are the height of what psychedelic trance was about in those days. Really miss the 90's where a dj would play some house, then techno & add some psychedelic trance to the mix. I remember raves here where no one cared back then what style, genre or era the music was from. They were the best days & best sets.

Nice album. The two Green Room tracks are really disappointing. If you're gonna bother making a remix make it a bit more remixed or longer/shorter.doesnt blow me away. Not like the NervaSystem album Time Travel has.

Looks good. Just out of curiosity why do you not offer full downloads when someone purchases via Bandcamp? I just ask because as a collector it offers the chance to keep my cd in mint condition while I enjoy the music. Cheers. -
Not having my anxiety disorder & OCD. It didn't set in until I was around 19. It makes life hell some times. I also miss the innocence, I find the news & world around me so depressing most the time. Thank god for my little 21 month old son, he really shows me what life is all about. Having fun & enjoying the small details. It might take 2 hours to walk around the block but i'll know every little stick, pile of dirt, crack & bug along the way lol.

Roland new Aira: Tr-8 and TB-3
Balance replied to desysko's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
Tr-*, I played with one today. for less than half what charge her for Jomox or Machine Drum it sounds great and is fun to use especially for a live setting. Also it's very easy to use compared to both Jomox and MD straight out of the bag. I don't see much point in needing something "more", you can either use the wonderful samples this box makes or else sample them in to your DAW & edit as needed. The analog vs digital thing is about as fun as Appl vs PC. There's no right ot wrong and it comes down to personal preference. On that not I played with the TB-3 as well & it's a toy. And expensive at that. I'm going to keep saving for a well built X0XB0X instead. I am very keen to see what their System-1 VA synth offers though. I have been wanting some quality Roland sound in my music for years & second hand ones in Australia are a rip off! -
