Hve been diiging through my old Boshke Beats CDs & love their Vampires track. They made some thundering techno/tech trance. Whatever happened to them?

I notice after donating that it's flexible funding. What happens to our cash if the goal isn't reached?

Personally I prefer the guitar in Boris BLenn tracks than in Simon Posford tracks. Simon should just stick to making ye olde Shpongle synth sounds with Raja Rama jibber jabber roo vocals of non-sensical alzheimers ramblings.

Pretty brubbishy after his first release IMO. Luckily I got the double CD from Dakini which is amazing. Give me any Steve Roach over Ishq any day!!

Yeah quite bad anxiety with OCD. Causes severe panic attacks & depression. Luckily I have a very understanding wife & also just finally found a psychologist who is really helping me sort out things. Electronic music especially Goa/Psy & Steve Roach's works help distract me from the inner turmoil & give me a sense of calm. Regular exercise & also learning to produce via Tom Cosm's DVDs is also helping me. It wasn't so bad until our old apartment suddenly became infested with cockroaches a year ago & this just sent what was a minor anxiety in to catastrophic realms that I've never recovered from. Even in our new house I'm compulsively checking for bugs in the kitchen & even general bugs freak me out like they never used to. In reality it's linked to bad problems during my teenage years & LSD usage in my twenties. Hopefully this therapy can help unravel the tangle & teach me to mange better

Elysium - Forthcoming Album Teasers

Just listened to the original, amazing stuff. Cannot wait to hear this in full. Hope there are some nice long tracks like the original -
How would you rate the last 10 years of Goa Trance music
Balance replied to Richpa's topic in General Psytrance
It's ok, but not enough of a WOW factor. I've got all my goa from the 90's until now loaded up as a play list. That's 1000 tracks & I gotta say there's just something so different in the vibe from the 90's, even the DAT/Anjuna/Zion604 stuff is so much um deeper. Anyway can't really complain, i recently got Sita records Protozoa 1 & 2 and love it heaps. Waiting for the next Timewarp compilation to roll out & I'll buy both of theirs then. Good times. -
What music are you listening to right now?

Renegade Hardware for deep neuro drum & bass (a label I know) Midi Miliz(and there current project) Son Kite(and Minilogue) Elysium (from the samples of DFCB 2) John Digweed & Bedrock Records (best progressive label around for sure) Entheogenic Aphex Twin, saw him live/DJ ;ast year & some amazing new sounds! don't know if they fit really but Fear Factory. As the pioneers of cyber trance there use of industrial/trance sounds with machine like rhythmns have been amazing over the years. I think they definitely count for their last two album as even the drums have been 100% computer programmed with no real drummer at all.

PSYCHAOS RECORDS
Balance replied to Psychaos_Records's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
So what's up with this? Another load of rubbish from a has been old school producer? I smell lies like the promise of an AP album. Sad that the old schoolers are so caught up in their modern sound they make promises they fail to keep to their dedicated long term fans. I've been following Joti for over a decade, and this is disrepecting thos of us who have shown such support. I'd rather have had no promises than lies like were made here.- 31 replies

I always hated mix CDs that had once off or unreleased tracks because they're usually amazing tracks & it's unfair that the public will never have the chance to own them.
-
Stepping away from my comments earlier, can I ask if the ambient cd is gapless or will it be like Opus Iridium? I just fine the "mixed" ones a bit annoying to out in with my general music on laptop/etc. I know it's label choice just though to ask. I'll be buying this no matter what of course!

Dear Anoebis I wish to tell you that I meant no offense, just expressing my opinion that to me I have not found a lot of the newer (hence IMO neo) Goa sound contains the exceptionally positive & psychedelic vibes I found in the 90's even in the darker side like Sandman etc. This is not to say I do not enjoy this newer style, I actually have every Suntrip compilation, as well as Cronomi & Sita Records compilations and will purchase all future ones. I think there are significant differences in the styles from the bassline to the sound of a more digital age vs analog age. And yes as a dj/musician/wannabe audio engineer I can hear differences. Again this is not to say any is better than the other, just explaining why I choose to call it neo Goa. Anyway. Enough is enough. I look forward to the 3xCD release & wish you and you colleague Mars a blessed 2014
-
To clarify I'm not saying I don't like neo goa, the opposite is very much true. It's just not pure goa.
-
Pure Goa trance? Sounds good great coz not a single neo-goa track I've heard to date comes close to the pure goa sound in soul or style of the 90's goa trance.

Good luck! Wish you get a gig in Oz!! Looking forward to the new album, you're a true psychdelic journeyman :$ -
Dick Trevor just announce on Facebook he's found an old recording of one of their first ever live acts at an early Twisted gig. He's giving it away. Why don't someone like DAT/Anjuna/Zion604 grab it & give it a proper release? I'd bet it'd sell out easy!

Steve Roach - "Live From The Drone Zone" best double cd of ambient ever. That is all you will need from last year. You can thank me for saving you time & money later

G'day all I never paid much attention to this labels but after I played a small private bday NYE set of DAT/Anjuna/Zion604 stuff from midnight to 4am the next dj did his first 2 of goa, then an hour of this SA style and brought in the morning with some early TIP World works. I had loads of fun, but with a limited budget was wondering what you'd consider the essential releases from these two labels, and any other related labels over the last decade or so? Cheers b.
