Those Roach albums are simply amazing. When I'm stressed or overtired they are my go to listening pieces. I fall asleep to them on my 'phones and wake calm and regenerated.

Love it. Might have Io get it as an Xmas gift to myself. Will look nice above my studio desk with black light over it

I never said I wanted it now. He can take as long as he likes. I was merely expressing my intent to happily pay more for more Doof. Doof's early works as well as TIP really resonated with me as I came from the acid house realm. Super Xcited but happy to wait

He has a swastika carved in to his forehead. Someone should just put the wretch down & save some tax payers money. I had enough run ins with neo nazi's in my youth to know they they deserve no respect & no rights.

Finally paid the $63,990AUD for a new car. Pick it up in 2 weeks. 10 speakers system with sub, Bose. Not a huge Bose fan but hey it's better than my crummy old Honda Jazz.

I was all set to grab 50 CDs from them but postage to Australia cost more than the 59 CDs!! -
Doesn't aound dated to me any more than other releases from DAT, Zion604, Anjuna etc. I love the old sound, the muddy quality etc. To me the modern Goa sound is just very different.

Nah their a tiny company. I thought they'd take off after the glowing review earlier this year in Sound On Sound magazine. Actually the few I know who have them say the D5 is punchier in the low end. I'm actually considering switching for that reason or else I'll need a woofer eventually.

D8. Look I can tell you from my friend's studio they are amazing value for money if aesthetics aren't important. They are big & quite clunky looking. My friend has Adam, Eve & these as monitors (he's a gear junky) as well as some other uber expensive ones he paid $20,000 for. Anyway, we found that the D8's are easily on par with the more expensive Adam & Eve monitors over a spectrum of music (classical, drum & bass, prog house, modern Goa trance, Ultimae & old school jazz). Very flat and natural sound. I think the D8's are still on sale direct from direct from Equator. Mine won't arrive for some time as they don't distribute in Australia yet. Then I need to break them in of course but cannot wait to hear my modular rack through them. I can't say too much about the psychedelic trance sound as currently I'm deep in to progressive house, deep house & Detroit style techno production wise.

So after a long time complaining about the rip off traders on Discogs a gentleman (I assume man) who wishes to remain anonymous contacted me an said if I donated to the Mago Tree Goa project they'd send me a mint copy of Mind Rewind. So I made a $40 donation and today received my copy! My soul feels better for the donation, and the music is wonderful. A big thanks to Mr Anonymous, and as my wife n' I like to make a large annual donation to a charity every Christmas we're giving a further donation to this project on behalf of our two little kids.

Well I'd go digital for one thing as you get both the mixed versions and unmixed tracks for a great price via their bandcamp. Artist albums? Asura - any, Cell & CBL are IMO the best. Personally I love their compilations and would suggest Ambrosia, Oxycanta III & Passages.
-
Absolutely stunning release. The mood flows deeply & there's a wonderful cohesiveness to this compilation. I admit I prefer the digital unmixed version, but the trances vibes in some tracks make me think this is where Flying Rhino should've gone. Wonderful music for chilling out or a slow deep dance.

Your modular synth of choice?
Balance replied to Goa Travellers's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
Just brand names. With modular I find you get what you pay for. Cheap brands mean a cheap product. -
Remember Den Kozlov? Anyway while surfing Bandcamp found this label which has some amazing free music that caters for all types of electronic music, of course with a Russian edge. Love it. http://kissthesound.bandcamp.com
