  1. To add (because definitions are interesting): when I last night made my little review underneath MDK's review of Omnivox-Fragments Of Evolution I was thinking about this Prav discussion. Michael didn't utter a word of that album being full-onish even though compared to Prav it is. But it is not full-on either, it is goa trance with that reveb effect making it sound a bit full-onish.
  2. When I first saw the comments about Prav being full-on I laughed at the good joke. Then I tried to understand where that impression comes from. As for now it has been discussed by a few and what consoles me is that even producers and an experienced listener (Starkraver) and an experienced reviewer + a label-head in his own way of commenting aren't unanimous about the genre. And I imagined I am the only one here who isn't a pro in genre definitions, heh
  3. Last day of presale tickets is today. http://transylvaliens.com/tickets/
  4. Was that empty space above a fighting attempt? Haha, I accept that!
  5. I have wanted to comment this album a long ago but taking the mistake back right now! There's been some discussion lately here in psynews how all the goa sounds pretty much the same. So alert, alert! This doesn't. I wonder why the album has gotten so little attention here. But it is not too late. For me Fragments of Evolution makes top 10 of all goa/psy albums ever seen light. Why? It is full-blown, chaotic yet disciplined, spiritual to the bone and what stands out as the best element is this full-on stylish reverb sound element that's kind of a signature sound of the whole album (and works especially well with oldschool style goa trance adding more interest and value) and I can imagine how freaking stellar it must sound played live. I suppose those Japanese goa-heads have found it out since Omnivox has played there (also there in addition to other far-away countries). The album has such a persistence that one does not get bored with it. I have had it a year now. Favourite tracks: all but Helios is best of the best. 5/5
  6. I am doing the best thing ever I can think of: organizing a goa trance party that's gonna be 12.8 in Helsinki. Veasna is gonna play there
  7. Well, to add: The artwork is nearly the best I've seen. Only Cronomi's V/A People Walk Funny artwork exceeds this one And Triglav CD print is even better than online photo: it has deep, shining colours, a real treat to have in the CD collection
  8. Curiosity won and I watched it. With preliminary "warnings" it wasn't traumatising; more I saw it as a surrealistic caricature of war crimes which I suppose the film refers to. At least the director isn't denying them. Reminded me of David Lynch type of directing, more twisted, though.
  9. Nope, Kolovrat is better. I also like some old tracks, e.g. Fields Of Siberia, and some new tracks, e.g. A New Hope, better. What do you think about the latter? Any new hope?
  10. Still scared? Except that I don't believe you.
  11. Good thing about Brexit is that now TTIP is likely to fall Britain being a supporter of it.
  12. Thanks so much for posting this. The problem with fb shares/advertisements is that if I don't order immediately, I lose the link because too lazy to save it. Now this is here in psynews "forever". Happy shopping to me a bit later Very nice stuff you have there! Sophisticated. Agreed with above.
  13. Don't reveal the hoax Btw, it would be awesome -even though an utopia- that Scotland would join the Nordic countries and there'd be a new northern union which has a historical basis called Kalmar Union https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalmar_UnionThis new union would make it even to G7 As a matter of fact I read from a Finnish newspaper that the Scot language is a derivative of ancient Norwegian: bairn (child), midden (stupid), muckle (big). Also they say that the word kilt has its origins in the Norwegian verb "kjalta" that means "to fold". The heritage can be seen in a Up Helly Aa fire festival in Shetland islands where they burn a viking ship. Nevertheless I don't want Sexit (Suomi exit) for the time being.
  14. Creepy. It says in the comments that it is from BBC homepage, didn't find it though. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1302313929797464&set=a.194664647229070.51495.100000566090146&type=3&theater
  15. And Iceland wished 'em Brexit #VikingbeatGoljat #miraclelikeLeicesterCity
  16. Still haven't recovered from Croatia's loss but at least a little bit salve to my wounds Italia beating Spain :-)
  17. Happy birthday dear compilation. Still loving you
  18. There's a separate thread for this kind of discussion @winkix https://www.psynews.org/forums/topic/72069-a-simple-terminology-tutorial/
  19. I don't have that info. Btw, listen to this awesome goa track by Francoise, this is damn damn good! http://www.mikseri.net/artists/toletrancer/halvat-hanurit/35499/
  20. It rarely happens that a team's own fans cause the loss of the team; okay - it was Vida's hand mistake but highly likely that the Cro players' concentration was affected by the torch tossing and the Czechs got a free time-out
  21. I am truly thankful of this album: it finally got me to the point where I first started appreciating goa trance: distorted sounds, the feeling of "divine", all there. You @ GoaD are an awesome producer..wish all the best for ya for the years to come meaning that I do want you to continue in this path, even though I understand it possibly cannot bring you the daily living. And you will be asked for to play gigs: I hope you will take it to the "next level" and meet the challenge
