  1. I am probably breaking some protocol because this party has already been. Since it was never announced in psynews, I cannot continue some existing thread, sorry. This aftermovie is stunning + of excellent sound quality and presents a rare opportunity to catch @ Paul Eye. That's why I want to post it. To add: I have nothing to do with the party organization.
  2. Well, I use slack platform to plant pictures because this forum does not allow to add pics from my computer. Something went wrong here, it worked earlier. Probably all the other planted pictures have vanished, too. I need to go to check..
  3. I am glad I am not a hot chick anymore, maybe used to be 20++ years ago, heh, but I sure wish those hot or cooler chicks to come over here. For me psynews has been essential. I came on board listening to goa in my middle-aged years so I needed to connect with the history. That history is all here. Reviews, everything. Also this forum has given me the important perspective that I am not alone in this world with my goa obsession. Finnish scene is so psytrance orientated. I needed to find my goa home in a larger context than Neogoa Records. Also, I connected with @Paul Eye through this forum: some knowledge and help he provided was critical considering organizing my first goa party in Finland.
  4. I am watching 24 for about the 10th time: I have just a few TV series I am fond of and they are: 24, Twin Peaks and Sons Of Anarchy
  5. This is a citation of the geek link that @Earwall posted: "But we can be better than this. By consciously rejecting the stereotypes, by losing the defensive status games and focusing on the joys of our shared mutual interests, we can fix geek culture, make it more open and welcoming. It can be a celebration of our passions instead of another way of limiting ourselves and pushing away people who would otherwise share in the things we love." Pretty applicable to psynews, also, just like Earwall stated But as I said: it is highly unlikely to change the reality by male members here by themselves: more women just need to come and see what happens. It is as simple as that. Until that I will have a nice fest dancing here by myself like Billy Idol used to sing. I have watchers, though, many of them with monitoring sensors, so not alone, hah Anywayz it is gonna be a 100% male forum soon enough as I quit for the time being (work reasons + I am a person who is not present half-way: I cannot handle that )
  6. Okay. Some nice reasoning up there from all of you. This topic has been scratched before in this thread (wasn't aware of it), but the point of view in my thread what I meant is more "psynews-orientated" anywayz https://www.psynews.org/forums/topic/66092-goa-girls-female-presence-in-psy-trance-psynews/ Still no need for a new thread so excuse my non-awareness.. Female psytrance DJ's are a bunch in Finland where I live. Miazu, Cini Electrium, Korento to mention a few. This party from last fall had an interesting line up female DJ's playing vs. with men DJ's https://www.facebook.com/events/921591531241851/ So DJ's and party audience is there as females but not existing in the same ratio in this forum. @Mergi: Thanks for your opinion: it did make sense. With you I agree for the most on the comment "Is psynews female unfriendly due to being littered with males?" This is the case I think but the blaming finger is to point towards women here, not towards men. Women just need to come and start talking. It is not that hard. Actuallly psynews is very female friendly by all the likes my profile has gotten (many of them certainly are not because of my possible proper commenting but because of "encouragement") @recursion loop: I am glad you opened up. I agree with your statement that psytrance is a pretty technical thing and men just started exploring it, but what I wonder about is that guitar playing is a technical thing, too, and still more women are involved in rock/metal/pop as commentators also, not just as an observing audience. So psy/goa is a different field there, too. This "technicality" you talked about and what I referred to in my opening pharagraph is as close to the point of the female/male differences in the scene as I can think of, though. I know it by experience. Some of my producer friends (obviously male) send me their demos during the creative process to hear my opinion/analysis. I have asked why and they say they will get tech comments from other producers but from me they wanna hear "overall" feelings and maybe some imaginations that the track arouses Nevertheless, this forum has much to give to persons who wanna dig deeper into the music they love. It is no gender difference thing definitely. @boohu: It is an international womens' day indeed. Let's play some good goa trance to honour it!
  7. Far from offensive. I wanted discussion and your comment is fine; just wanted to challenge you to dig a bit deeper. Btw..I work in a company with 50+ men and I am the only woman in the company So the street fights with men are my everyday lunch and psynews, heh, is so lame considering all of my fights with men Just wishing more women to get involved here!
  8. By this comment referring to "we" you kind of exclude women out of the psynews circle per se. Just what I thought: don't ya come here to interfere the mister club, haha
  9. I am fond of this CD of mine which is pretty much psy eurodance
  10. Seriously? Wtf? I don't swallow this without a discussion! For example in Finnish psytrance groups women are at least as active as men and before all: women go to psytrance parties!
  11. Sorry..it is already available in the format I requested..I'm good now
  12. I'd like to have this as a printed copy. Any chances for a CDr?
  13. I finally got this mega rich athmospheric, groovy and lovely CD after it was wandering 6 months God knows where! One of the best V/A's out there and my fav of Sita Records, too
  14. Okay. Anything else coming into your mind?
  15. Hello everyone! I am gonna take a little break from online channels but before I go I'd like to address this question: why is there so very little amount of women active in psynews? Besides me there's no a single active woman who is regularly posting, among the members there are few and they occasionally post e.g. in party announcements. This state of being is very different from dance floors where women are abundant; also in fb groups e.g. Suntrippers in English girls comment and like. I don't have an answer, but of what I know, the situation is no new in the existence of the forum. I have three insights and they are: women squint tech talk, they dislike intruding onto a mister club and they aren't willing to walk into a street fight when expressing an opinion (the theme we just saw in UX topic). A taboo this is to a certain extent. What's your educated guess over the reasons or should the topic stay "buried"? And have you guys been thinking about this? I am curious
  16. Don't say because this wasn't true, dammit! ALL the artists gave kudos for the audience being better than e.g. in Belgium.
  17. I am glad you are back @ antic604
  18. Okay. I haven't studied Paypal enough to stumble upon such an option. I am lazy, too, maybe, but for me it really does not matter saving a few cents if I want the item. I just need more "self-discipline" not to buy this and that so easily (women shopping dilemma) so that's the way I'd save the most
  19. For me nowadays all that matters is safety after two of my credit cards have been sucked from webstores into wrong hands and the credit card companies have closed them. So I use Paypal for sure when it is available. Outside that I still make purchases with credit cards but I am scared of it.

  21. Good. Btw; this thread has brought up some important things about artist rights etc. It is imperative to be able to discuss.
