  1. Hello mods... can you clean up the "HAHA" from this thread and put it to the "OT" forum? Cause the poster does not want to discuss the issue he brought up..
  2. Crazy stuff from Poland https://cultesdesghoulesofficial.bandcamp.com/track/idylls-of-the-chosen-damned ..and from Germany https://lunaraurora.bandcamp.com/album/mond
  3. Fuck this shit, the OP trolled and is not coming back. Btw. I noted he has a label: http://www.ghostlabel.gr And made videos about how to become professional in music... (quite ironic eh)
  4. He makes some points - but he need to explain them more, so I am curious if the OP will come back and reply... or just drop a video link and is gone. OTH who cares if most people today hate dark psytrance (as he said), the ones making it do not want to be popstars anyway (I guess?). @Bartzabel I find it interesting that some (or even many) psytrance fans like some blackmetal (me too), perhaps one of the reasons is.. it is not that far apart musically. Bold statement? I explain, both styles use repetitions (eg. tremolo riffs or 303 patterns) and trance inducing sounds
  5. Another one - even if track itself is good, but what you perhaps call vocals kind of destroy it. Also are you saying the people making darker stuff have no future and should stop and instead emulate the artists you named? Just curious ? So we have even more same sounding music? So the age old Indian "Namaste" or U.F.O. theme is the future or something new ? Trying to understand...
  6. @Bartzabel Well articulated post @Open Source I do not know much famous, new Psytrance or what I heard was not my taste.Seems Vini Vici mostly produces together with others..but here a track which seems to be from him alone: (I pulled these tracks cause you named this band) Maybe I am missing something but can you explain what is so great about it? It has even the ethno elements from old and cheesy samples ? Note not dissing the artist, it is well produced!!
  7. Sadly not so much time at the moment, but I took a listen to 2 tracks from them and I like it so far, one can hear X-D influence. @technosomy I read a bit in the review section and found them there, also someone in this thread mentioned it too. The one I heard was also good, I need to check more out Thanks for the good posts in this thread to all btw.
  8. See here: I posted 2 vids from him, in one he also said what he used on the early works, not much and he also explains why it worked better with less..
  9. Ok, here their Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/artist/40195-Future-Prophecy They have quite a lot of stuff, which would be the 2 you recommend? @Padmapani Have listened to the UX track twice now - and it is a good production for sure. For whatever reason it did not "catch me". Also I dislike the "choral" samples / voices..apart from that nice one.
  10. @recursion loop I don´t think other than it is also an electronic song with harder beats it has much to do with industrial or even ebm. However I am an old crumpy man, so better not listen to me Also - even if the OP said "what do you miss in music", I guess he meant more goa/psy - so my posts may have been a bit OT...I did not want to get into the genre discussion and better hear your words when you said "do it yourself"
  11. This was kind of harder ebmish synthpop: (kinda one hit wonder tho)
  12. Godwins law: " “You can tell when a USENET discussion is getting old when one of the participents [sic!] drags out Hitler and the Nazis.”" Industrial splintered in so many subgenres that I lost the overview, but martial is yes, often with war themes, but I believe faster and has "march" like drums structures (or so....). I already complained in other threads about "modern industrial" which is more rave/hardstyle and not indus at all.. so I will not post about it (oops... I did it again). What is industrial here ?? (4.5 mio views?) ALSO -9DB by YT normalization could be in the winners.. In German is a nice word "Etikettenschwindel"
  13. Brostep? What does it mean, brothers stepping on each other ? I made severall noise/indus/darkambient tracks many years ago... Here one of my 1st "solo" tracks, even the video is a bit simmilar to the In Slaughter Natives one I notice now This a bit newer: (Pics are also from me) @astralprojection Hope you like this more than the commercial trance I send you
  14. There was this label named "cold meat industry" they had some finer stuff with more ambient and also (northern) ethno elements, I had a limited 2x CD compilation from them but sold it cause over album length it is too boring (single tracks work fine imho and are really dark) and also it had some collectors value (when CDs were still bought)
  15. Well there was this style "industrial-noise" already 25+ years ago, here even a track from one of the better known artists named like a goa track: Did not like it very much "back in goth/ebm days" of mine, but seems better than dubstep Haus Arafna was even played sometimes in "goth" clubs
  16. This dubstep or what I have read in comments "deathstep" seems quite popular, I have seen many with Mio´s of views. Here one with 13Mio, it is better than the above example and must have been quite "loud" originally cause YT turned this 8,6db down. I mean I like some blackmetal what many would call noise, but dubstep is another kind of noise It is fun to explore sometimes these weird new styles Seems much of the work in this style is cutting wave files into small pieces and putting a ton of effects on.
  17. Loudness album list, sorted already by "dynamic range" lowest at first, as you can see there are severall with "0" (zero) DR; http://dr.loudness-war.info/album/list/dr In the top 5: (careful with volume) Style? Don´t know "noise" I guess Edit, here a guitar one, it has been turned down 8,5db by YT:

    MFG - The Message

Welcome to fuckin Wonderland untill you reach the Dark Waters.... need one say more ? Well over the half of these tracks are classics imho. It is also the best from this artist. The 1st one is now to "classic goa" for me and sounds thin, 2nd one way better, 3rd one also a classic but suffers from bad production, 4th one (=this) has one of the best productions - especially when it comes to the low end. And the kick is not thin like in our modern psy days (but why can not newer producers not at least try their best to come close to this work here?). This is a BASSline album too ! The 5th one I needed to re-listen but remember it did not grab me much Dark Waters has samples from "A Thin Red Line" which also shows these guys have a good taste in movies This track just does not age at all it seems ... AND when an artist can afford to end an album with "The Message" where others would put their weaker tracks I guess. But yes, the critics may be right, that some songs are a bit too long before the main part(s) arrive
  19. Now this is interesting I wrote about this already in 2015... I was intrigued by the "History Of Goa" album, if we find here also these funny "future ducks of london" moments. I just listen to this album - it might be a sign that I had forgotten it totally - and must say this one is less funny. Whow, these cheesy speech samples are way too loud in the mix...but I kind of dig the melodies. Here is the main problem psytrance should grip you also with some harshness, darkness or unexpected moments, there is none of this here. However if we call it melodic trance / or instrumental rave in these genres it would be a good album. For latest at Track 3 I lost my patience and want to skip to the next parts of the record, to find something that screams attention. Than I am in the middle of Track 4 and more samples... buuut I stand at my rating above 4/10 or even 5. I mean there are melodies abound and it is not some random noise thrown together over the kick&basslines - like I hear in much newer "psytrance". I am now at 36Min - and now it is really getting boring - so I think some single tracks would work, but an album of the same .. naahh Edit, I really like "Super Hero" (1 Min shorter would be better tho) and "Winter Tale" is neat too.
  20. Ok... here you go I wonder if negative comments are not allowed, or if really 90% of trance people dig this soooo much, but guess the real ones ignore it simply. I found 2 tracks quite ok, the Oforia and Etnica one, this may be cause I did not listen to these much at all the last years, so also do not remember the originals. X-Dream, Juno, Hallucinogen are butchered so to speak. Also did this guy sample or took "the future ducks of london" to his heart, I had severall moments reminding me of this at least funny parody LOL So it has some funny moments. Regardless I found this not as bad as what I wrote in my last "review" about.....?????.... it is 2 hours later and I have already forgotten the band / release name, which many ppl in the thread said is 9/10 etc. (Edit, my former review was abot "The Misted Puppets")
  21. Was browsing reviews a bit and found this thread... is this here the album the ones saying "album of the year" or 10,9/10 are talking about: If yes, whats the deal? This is not medieval at all and not even dark or deep... but goes on the nerves with some of the used sounds. But I am also not a IM fan,so......show how different tastes are even within a "scene" or "genre" itself..but do people even know how medieval music sounds ? Certainly not like this And another poster said "another crappy fullon album" I do not know what fullon is (guess Full ON weak BEAT or FULL on DRUGS Or FULL on CHEESE?) haha Weak beat he says? Yeah, why are the kickdrums so "thin"! i noted this is in many newer stuff
