i think perhaps satanists MIGHT take it seroiously, and also hindus and buddhists MIGHT take the psytrance "trademarks" seriously too. religion can be touchy for some people and we should respect that. i wouldnt advertise hinduism - for example - if thats not my religion. i know that now. as a youngster i had shiva on a backdrop and was proud of it.

the Om itself is not cheesy at all. That is not what i meant. I meant that the Om in that context, makes ME cheesy. Just to be clear The om is great, i love it still, and the meaning behind it. I felt like a buddhist most my young life. But - in the context of goatrance, for me to tatoo the om - well, that would be cheesy. IMO. just like a tatoo of shiva - would be - in the same context. actually no, psy trance is the genre, goatrance the style. thats how i always have seen it. thats how i feel too. i also label it and call it Goa. but i still recognize psy trance as the main genre when im being technical. just as Trance is the father of psychedelic trance. like i said, pure technicality but still, right is right.. edit: like this. All Goatrance is Psychedelic Trance. Right? But not all Psychedelic Trance is goatrance. That is a correct statement that any can agree on. So Psychedelic Trance MUST be the father/mother - otherwise that statement wouldnt make sense. It would be the other way around.

i stopped reading when he said that psytrance is "goa trance's sibling". if he doesnt understand the basics then he shouldnt be speaking on it in the first place. psytrance is goa trance's MOTHER genre, and not a sibling.

ive noticed the elitism in "hippies" too. and i seriously frown upon that. i agree with imba regarding the annoy-factor too. i remember back when i was partying, and there was always this small group of people everywhere you went. they were ok, granted, but they were also super annoying and they felt they were above everyone else while saying the opposite.

i had backdrops of shiva and buddha when i was young, like 19 or something, but now i think it has nothing to do with the music at all, and i dont think goa, india when i hear the word goa, i just think the music. i can fully understand if a buddhist feels it is inappropriate to associate buddhism with goatrance. i also am alot more rightwing than hippies so i dont feel a relation to hippies either, although it is definetely closer than buddhism.

no, dont worry about it. it doesnt matter. it matters only when you are a. bouncing a track to wave - you dont want clipping because you dont want your peaks to reach more than oh, -1db or so. b. when mastering you want to make sure the limiter works at around -0.2db or so, if you are planning on making cds. any other scenario, dont matter. unless the clipping is audible of course, then you might wanna check for a clean source. and it wont be hearable if its not clipping well over the +1db mark, imo. it might, but thats probably not the case here.

they were both too expensive though and both were kinda rare in sweden, only found them on 2 places, and i dont wanna order them, i rather pick them up, so that they wont damage during shipping. looks like the m-audio ones is becoming more attractive now.. and i allready know they sound good enough aswell. i will think for a week or two. its a big investment and of course its well worth spending another 100 euro to be really satisfied than just be "ok" and still have spent alot of money.

damn. i need to mix in proper monitors, this wont do anymore. im thinking of buying a cheap pair like behringer or m-audio. what do you think? is it worth it, or should i try and save for a better pair? yamaha or alesis maybe? i will never spend more than 550 euro on a pair anyway, so i might do with a pair for 250-300 euro?

yes hardcore really is another game tbh. i have yet to get a hc char to max level, always have died to disconnects before that :/ and my connection is extremely stable, and yet it has happened several times. there has been issues with bnet connection alot, and it havent affected all users. a shame, that they dont add a 10 second immune window to your character if it starts to get 0 input from user and or senses a dc. sure, people could abuse it like hell, and cutting their connection whenever they are in trouble but sure, let them, i dont care if they do.

i also come back to check it out every patch i was one of those geeks who bought it at 00:00 at gamestop i got a free poster. wicked. anyway i played until i hit act 2 on inferno, and it was too hard to continue. so i just watched streams instead. kungen, kripp, etc. by then i had played perhaps 100 hours. then the expansion came out and that number increased to about 500h, and about 300 paragon before nerf. 2.4 isnt very great though, nothing really new. they didnt change the wizard at all, which is kinda good i guess but it would be fun with at least some changes. the set dungeon is boring and you do it once then your done. empowered rift doesnt add anything to the gameplay either. just another gem roll. i want pvp now. 2v2 arenas would be awesome.. but it wouldnt work with current game mechanics.. they would almost have to do another game for pvp to work properly.. or just throw in some pvp gear, that equalises all your gear so eveyrone has identical gear. that would be fun too.

the subtractor hands down. Its my go to synth whenever i wanna get melodies out. Or well, it has been for over 10 years. Nowadays I usually start directly in nuendo and go to Sylenth1. when malström came out i didnt like it, thought it sounded too plastic. Learned to use it a little bit for fx though. next is redrum, best drum machine ive worked. i searched for days, to finding a decent one as a VST, and finally found Poise which is closest but still redrum is alot better. its like an 808 so its really intuitive. the sampler NN19 i also love alot, and well, i just love reason tbh. Just wish the sound coming out of it were good enough, and it is nowadays with the SSL incorporation to the mixer, sound quality really really went up. And of course alot of plugins now too. But the version i have is really old now. edit: just saw that they have a 30 day trial for reason, i think im gonna try it out for fun. but im guessing there is going to be a limit on bouncing to wave. probably going to be limited to 30 sec or something. edit: holy crap did they change alot, doesnt even look like reason anymore hmm very interesting indeed. sorry for offtopic
