  1. makyo - a distant star. Such incredible beauty.. shivers! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmwp_i2nLgM
  2. without doubt tangerine dream - love on a real train https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91DuxjzlLLU special notice to the lovely remixes of this classic! Like the symbolone remix, jbooze remix and the reworks like Global Communication - Maiden Journey a.k.a 8'07 and 5'23 <3<3 edit: dammit jisnegro you made me bump a 3 year old thread lol
  3. .. you're slowly drifting away..... you are drifting still. ... still drifting. BAM. an island. you slowly realise that you are dying and noone is going to rescue you. .. but then you realise, that you still have your mp3 player. Might aswell enjoy some tunes on your way to infinity. too bad this mp3 player only plays goatrance from the golden era, but hey, youre not Sony, you didnt engineer these shitty Goa-Only mp3 players. oh well.. there is a lot of awesome goa tunes on here. thing is. Your battery is almost dead and you can only play ONE track!..... which track is it? mine is: mindfield - lets get stoned and watch the freaks '95 why? cause it was the first goatrance track i ever heard, back in 1995. it was on an album called Cyberspace - Level 4 - Entering Eternity. I didnt have a clue what Goatrance was, and it took me a good 3 years before I knew what it was.
  4. bumping that Zeta Reticuli Lazy Spiral Remix.. AGAIN.. for the 500th time.. got me thinking about CC. So obviously I wanted to talk about them... realising I already did haha. Pentagon still is my fav. I realise as I said Lunar Civilisation IS obviously their best track but I wanna stray from the norm dammit. By the way, Nova Fractal - The wheel of time - whenever it gets released, for those of you who havent heard it already mohohahah, its gonna change newgoa forever
  5. a random track which happens to be part of the epic little goa collection that is Goa-Head vol 05 (just check out the tracklist. incredible) quietman - the sleeper (MWNN remix) the BEST from MWNN!! (i intend to randomly post my favorites from random artists that i selected above in my post )
  6. death is a part of life, hopefully the better part .. at least thats what im hoping for. something truly epic. regarding suffering, well, thats also a part of life. sometimes the largest part, but hopefully not
  7. haha i was debating whether to pick lone deranger or phototropic and now that i look at them , deranger is obviously alot better. too late to change now though. also my definite favorite from simon, while most pick twisted.. just wish fluoro neuro sponge and space pussy was on lone deranger. then it would be, probably, the best psychedelic trance album.. yummyy
  8. as the title suggest, I would like to see your favorites! To keep it simple, what about a top 4. I am having a difficult time picking out my very favorite, as it is biased by memories of the album itself and perhaps not entirely focused on the album art - but I think thats normal. So ill just pick 4 very nice ones, that I love equally. astral - dancing galaxy 1997 transwave - phototropic 1996 s.u.n project - macrophage 1998 digital sun - spiral of power 1997 edit: changed to 4 instead of 3
  9. i like the way the topic is heading. Yes I agree that is a true goa/psy classic sample. Another one is obviously Astral Projection - People Can Fly "When you dream there are no rules, people can fly, anything can happen. Sometimes there is a moment as you are awakening when you become aware of the real world around you, but you are still dreaming. You may think you can fly but you do better not try. People can fly." more astral! Astral Projection - Tryptomine Dream Im paraphrasing from memory "A Planet.. inpopulated by living machines... Unbelievable Technology. Conscious living entity." From Star Trek the movie, IIRC. and also Dancing Galaxy with the Dune samples, Neo in Anything is possible, Morpheus in Back from Hell, Genesis, The bible, in Let there be light, and more..and mooar
  10. now we're talking goatrance dancefloor killers. btw "someone" (*cough**cough**DAT*cough**) should re-release goa syndrome.
  11. when it comes to good music recommendations, yes you are definately in the right place. Everyone here is a musical genious! No sarcasm or irony intended! Welcome to psynews If you enjoy progressive psytrance, or just want incredible quality psytrance any subgenre; I would recommend Vibrasphere. All of their tracks are good, while some are great, and some are masterpieces. Track to start out with: Thermal Twist which is a nice mix between psytrance and progressive psytrance with a nice morning twist to it. For Goatrance I'd recommend: Astral, Early Infected/Shidapu/Shiva Shidapu, Very early Yahel, Very early MFG, Transwave, Hallucinogen, BPC, Pleiadians/Etnica/Crop Circles, Biot, Early Cosmosis, Man with no name, Mindfield, Subcouds, Early Talamasca, Early Electric Universe, Goa syndrome, Aural Planet, Chi-A.D, Cyan, Darshan, Digital Sun, Dimension 5, Doof, Elysium, G-Lock, Imperial Project, Oforia, Prana, Radiotrance, S.U.N Project (Macrophage only), GNOTR, Total Eclipse, U.X/Slide, X-Dream For misc Psytrance, Fullon and Progressive Psytrance; Talamasca, Electric Universe, Wizzy Noise, Human Blue, Silicon Sound, Logic Bomb, Space Cat, X-Dream, Cosma, Akanoid, Hux Flux, Koxbox, Infected, Droidsect, Safi Connection and alot more, although Vibrasphere has such an extensive catalouge I rarely need moar than it. For Neogoa/New School Goatrance; Artifact303, Filteria, Mindsphere, Nova Fractal, Celestial Intelligence, Psy-H Project, Liquid Flow, E-Mantra, Skarma, Afgin
  12. deep apologies i didnt have any opportunity to listen to all the tracks in such a manner, in order to give honest votes, which is why i didnt vote. Much congrats to the winners! Thanks to psynews, especially Ormion and Rotwang - for putting the competition together. Will love to see more competitions and contests in the (near) future!
  13. the quality of this release is so epic. it has it all! the prologue is awesome too, the psy-h track is freaking legendary so is the others, artifact303s mixing is top of the line, as always, but he went further this time. such clarity hitting every sweet piece of the frequency spectrum while avoiding all the hurts. i wonder what kind of monitors that guy has . mastering, album art, production value overall for the entire release: 10/10
  14. as the title says, thanks (refering to "....where exactly he is going and he is very intelligent"
  15. lmao, now im SURE thats ironical. thats freaking epic
  16. your own software? damn. i used Reaktor once, that thing talamasca used for years when you actually can create small software synths within the software - i thought that was really confusing.. but you didnt stop there, you programmed your own ? impressive.
  17. this is awesome aswell, didnt know it was hospital records although thats dubstep and drumstep so not really what im looking for. For me the first track I chose, is true melancholy, so thats at least, my definition. the Future Bound track the hypnotic monotomism is that of the second track, Loadstar - Flight. epic drumwork on that one. Ill find another to further make clear what it is that i seek .. although Im a music consumer for real, so I dont only need creme de la creme tracks - but im picky too, dont want tracks that are just okay, gotta be epics feint again, this is just redicolously good. 00:54 epicness.... feint again, further definition on the sadness I seek
  18. oceanic and falling for you will go straight into my collection. And Ill probably check out alot more from these guys and perhaps try and find some VA from the labels. very nice suggestions so far. Although the darkness and melancholy you chose were indeed dark and could be considered just what the doctor ordered, but I would like something perhaps not 'evil' but still dark. Like, more emo than dark maybe. So if you have a few more suggestions, but perhaps try another style of melancholy, a more 'emo' verison also, a final request would be more hypnotic and monotome tracks - tracks with too much chord progression tend to sound to happy. still I do enjoy the large percentage of the tracks youve suggested so im already satisfied as youve given me some great ones already, and new artists and labels to go check out. thanks bro
  19. huh, first i didnt know you were into producing, but for the record, im into it. This is interesting. Ill be frank, yes it sounds a tad amateur, but there is real possibilty here. nice kickdrum, interesting sounds and FX, pretty interesting keys and melodies, bassline leaves a little to be wanting - so does the under developed hihats and percussion. Ill stay away from using a snare drum at every second kick - might sound too cheesy then. But I welcome the snare, just perhaps not the usual disco style of dum dash, dum dash. the later part with the kalimba or marimba or what it is that you used is not a direction I would have wanted the track to go in but im happy for that cause it wouldnt be fun if everyone made tracks that sounded just the way you wanted. thats what your favorite artists are there for. finally, what software do you use to sequence your tracks? Iam currently looking for someone who uses Reason to collab with aswell as someone using Cubase, but the problem there is finding someone who has the same VSTs as you. Reason eliminates that problem. Well thats my bit, and as always, feedback is just feedback. spontanous feedback at that. so its not meant as any serious critizism at all, just friendly feedback. I want to end by saying there is real potential and Im looking forward into hearing more like the goa you started the track with, that would have been interesting to hear, what else couldve came from that keep at it peace, elerium115 aka the man with many names
  20. oh wow i really dig that London Elektricity - Just one second. Last Jungle was pretty nice too. 'Like the sad atmosphere. Do you have more? Preferably a bit darker or melancholic . Thanks
  21. hi. i just love the droning basslines and atmospheres, of these melodic dnb epics. Please would you suggest more artists that has tracks in the same style as the ones below. (im going to start with a classic from the 90s which still holds up today to get it started but its the tracks coming after this one that is really the style i want) okay here. and my favorite artist, Feint, a young man from Japan with incredible talent. feint ft veela - horizons feint - reprise https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVdSAWWOvSwfeint feint - vision driver (erhmagehd this might be in my top 10 all time all genres) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hHboMo9DTp0 (not sure why the two last vids didnt wanna show up as vids :/)
