  1. As you said it depends from label to label (or artist to artist), Bandcamp has it's fixed fee for digital releases (15%) but it can be reduced to 10% after you pass certain number of sales. I'm not much familiar with Google Play options but what makes Bandcamp great tool (at least for me personally) is the flexibility and additional features that offers secret downloads, unlimited streaming, downloadable extra content and variety of audio formats without re-uploading. When it comes to pricing in general I agree that prices are too high, don't get me wrong, you buy someone's work either way, but seeing 2-track digital releases being sold for 6 USD or so is really something that I personally don't support, no matter the fact that you get music in best possible quality. I believe that for the free music / netlabel scene, the 'name your price' option is the way to go, your supporters can get high quality music for free but they also have option to support the artist or label in direct way. Even we published some of our releases under that option, many people kindly donated and it actually helps a lot in the end to cover at least some part of production expenses. So in the end, Bandcamp seems like something that will help and shape Goa trance music in a good way, the other thing is when someone is abusing it with ultra high prices. -R
  2. We were thinking about adding complete Neogoa discography on Bandcamp just for the sake of people who actually got some of our releases in their collection (of course, it should be added as 'name your price' option), but in long term it will limit our download traffic allowed on Bandcamp per month. However, Bandcamp is becoming a number one spot for Goa trance music no matter is it physical or digital since all relevant labels tend to have their account (or publish via their root distribution company) there. -R
  3. Yes I know there is a lot more great artists and names to mention but back than I tried to sum up some of personal favorites and of course when it comes to making some lists it's always subjective. However, I hope one day I will have more time to work on this one and to include all relevant names back than. You can always post some suggestions or informations in this topic, it's all about sharing in the end. -R
  4. Maybe he's just having a good time in Bulgaria observing smooth roads and watching steep Bulgarian mountains while playing some good ol' Hallucinogen.
  5. There is so much great stuff by them, their liveset on Balkan Goa Fanatics and on Neogoa label party in Zagreb was so delicious, I'm sure the upcoming stuff will find it's place among people who prefer more oldschool oriented Goa production
  6. Rasputin is well known song, or at least the melody so it's not hard to see many people doing their reworks, covers, tributes, etc. (Vatrogasci or translated to english - Firefighters are known to make parodies of well known songs, but I never actually liked their work or lyrics. On the other hand, Anadolka theme is more on emotional side, not that much slavic per se, but it got nice ethno vibe, typical for sevdah music. Since it's traditional song, this version is one of my personal favorites (now when we're discussing that particular song from compilation) I hope Mirza (Arronax) will give his view about the influences YouTube link.
  7. Thanks for your reviews guys, keep them coming Yes, it has some similarities, but as far as I know, Dive Into Merak was very much inspired by traditional Bosnian sevdah music and Anadolka melos (and I think it's a bit older than Boney-M). You can hear clean example right here -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sevdalinka#Examples
  8. Hey Aspartic, thank you very much for this nice review, it was pleasure reading it. I hope you will have time to check downtempo numbers once again, Dive Into Merak shouldn't be missed, trust me

    China

Sad but true. Even in recent times all US geopolitical (or how they like to call it - national) interests are happening under the banner of NATO, because it doesn't look good if you invade and make agression towards weaker country just by yourself. It's easy to demonize the certain regime/goverment, to finance the opposition, to bomb the infrastructure and after the change of regime rebuild it and make profit. The difference nowdays is that (no matter how long will phenomenon of petrodolar last), the US isn't world policeman anymore, the other players such as China or Russia accepted the idea of capitalism but now they defend their own spheres of influence and 'national' interests and the difference between (let's say) Lybia or Iraq and China or Russia is that US can't do shit about it. They can demonize the goverment or impose some sanctions with their puppet states in EU but in long term they can't do anything. East is becoming a new west and a lot of financial markets on west are slowly starting the long term plans to jump on the bandwagon and become a part of new sources of profit. I don't want to sound like I'm rooting for certain side, actually I'm only rooting for multipolar world and that will happen only when west (led by US) starts to focus more on it self rather on others (and unfortunaley, they have a lot more problems in their backyard). In short terms Russia now needs China, but in long terms it needs Europe more. China at some point will have to expand it's population on other territory and probably the unhabited wast Russian land and central Asia will be one of the first picks, especially if new silk road project happen in some near future. In best scenario, EU should form better ties now between the 27 countries in union, form it's own military and get rid of NATO and US influence, it will give more room to expand better trading deals with other countries without being harrased by US through UK and it will become a bumper between Russia and US and it could have much more benefits in that way instead of being the first in line to get nuked because of US military presence in Europe. It will also give more resources to US to focus more on their own problems back at home and to deal with China in south-east Asia/Pacific region, and that will happen in the future if there won't be any agreement between regional players. I hope, I'm not offtopic too much

    EURO 2016

This time I will go for Portugal, I know they don't play some exciting football, but obviously they know how to get needed score. Even they're not like Greece in 2004 it will be much more exciting final game I believe. France seems stronger on paper and if Portugal starts game with open-guard I think they will end up like Iceland. Mourinho-style first half, and hopefully some counter-attack or Ronaldo's magic will happen till the end.
  13. Your option is much respected, especially because you've been following our music since the early days. We will keep all suggestions and feedback from people who listened this album for the next release(s). Thanks
  14. Thanks for the review! Energy will pop-up sometime soon in shortened format for download in WAV/FLAC for all people who are not interested to have it on limited physical format. However, it's available on YouTube for stream in full-lenght:
  15. Yeah Neelix is samey, but I liked Galaxy Traveller remix, it's fun and simple track.
  16. Neogoa has been very well promoted by Felipe in UK. Luis is cool dude, no matter is he in UK or Spain or on Mars.
  17. There will be a physical release. Probably not before early 2017. Thanks for the review Mike and GoaPal
  18. Infected Mushroom's The Legend Of The Black Shawarma Actually, Project 100 and Franks are probably one of the best written and arranged tracks by IM in years. It got everything, interesting storytelling, exciting guitar riffs, crystal clear production and enough of playfullness. I know Duvdevina can be annoying but on this album I don't have problems with that, oh and as bonus, there is no dubstep, which is cool.
  19. Inspired by this topic: Albums you like, but the reviews say otherwise Let's see which albums you don't like or find that good, but majority of people like them. My first pick would be Ajja - Tulpa. It's superhyped album and probably I'm not the only one who doesn't like it at all. It's not really matter of taste, I find that kind of music enjoyable, but I can't connect with that album at all.
  20. Golden or not, new breed of Goa trance is in some weird, but very good state at the moment - it went out from underground shadows, but it hasn't become mainstream either. That kind of balance is something I hoped for 10 years ago.

    EURO 2016

I wouldn't put my money on France tho, they look though but they didn't have any 'strong' opponent so far. Germany on the other hand has been consistent, even against Italy (and to beat Italy you gotta have great team and mentallity to win) on big competition. Portugal v Germany finals, but who knows, we will see
