Groovy intro build with shots of acid , nice track..

I prefer melodic Psy also or at least some kind of melodic effort. I suppose artists such as Astral Projection, Talamasca, Astrix, System Nipel etc are masters of melody and interesting mixes. I do however still like progressive sounds, but find them tiring after a while (maybe the compression) Here's one I play in the car often:

I synced up a BS II and a Microbrute to a Beatstep Pro last weekend and did a similar thing, but did not realize the genre was called 'Weird Shit'. I liked what you found on your drive

I have a copy of 'Jasmine' by Makyo (Psy Chill \ Ambient) but never bothered researching the artist... Makyo apparently dabbles in Zen Dub, while Mayko and Padmasana share a space on Bandcamp. Under the Dakini label. -

In my youth, a head full of dope would have added a few more harmonics to 'The World Beyond', but now with just a cup of coffee, I don't get it...probably lot's that love it though.

Good external soundcard for recording
Psygotran replied to Quazzi's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
I use a couple: 1: Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6 wired to an 'Allen & Heath Z10FX Mixer, the N.I card is great and trouble free, using ASIO4ALL with this. 2: Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 USB, used on the PC to Ableton Live 9, good little card with a couple of front inputs (jack and XLR) rear outs (unbalanced DINS and Balanced XLR) Both cards have 48v Phantom mic power. Whatever you decide on, don't rush in...read reviews Have a good day. -

"Here is my problem.. Creating the rest of the darned track!" LOL Everyone suffers the 'Stuck in a loop' syndrome, I sit for hours filled with self doubt. You have to get things in perspective, Psy is a very difficult genre to deal with. I love Psy but also like Blues, which is really simple in comparison. I find Psyheads are also super critical of their own efforts, this is the path to self destruction. Collabortions are good to get things going, sharing ideas and gear is more fun than lonesome psychotic sessions.
