Digital Reprints News
thanosp81 replied to thanosp81's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
Shipping of Kaya Project starts on Monday. Kickstarter for Globular 95% starts the following week. A true legend planned for the one after. Goa/Psychedelic Trance release (with a bit of Chill on the side ) planned for the nearTM future. Wow, I wish I didn't have to rely on KS (and be slightly rich at the same time) so I could skip the waiting- 233 replies

Elysium - Dance For The Celestial Beings II

The problem with crowdfunded projects is that life can steer you in a different direction than intended. He is offering a refund so he can't be that bad. -
Digital Reprints News
thanosp81 replied to thanosp81's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
Yeap it is. It's from a young guy (recommended by Morison) and i really dig his art. I decided to risk it and pay for the artwork to be rdy before the Kickstarter because this is what actually takes most of the time for the release to be rdy. So now the waiting will be much much shorter. We might also share the cover during the Kickstarter as well, we'll see. So many great names to follow- 233 replies

Digital Reprints News
thanosp81 replied to thanosp81's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
Digital Reprints started with a 4xCD box set of Entheogenic. Then followed a 5xCD box set of Kaya Project (ships out on the 4th of September). For a record label that isn't even a label (community label???) that is pretty F**** huge. So where do you go after that I was wondering? The answer for me was pretty obvious. Morison Bennett combines elements of Entheogenic, Ott. and Shpongle (Simon Posford), adds his own signature and creates Globular (also he gives his music away for free). 7 years ago, when I heard for the first time Colours of the Brainbow I knew our musical relationship would last for years I am so excited to announce that he will be my 3rd release. Colours of the Brainbow, In Formation, A Self-Fulfilling Prophesy, Sorbet For The Soul (with Radioactive Sandwich, yeay), Digging & Building and Up The Xylem Elevator - The Remixes for the first time printed on cd. Plus a bonus 4th cd compiled by Morison himself (unreleased tracks included). What more can you ask?- 233 replies

Although spot on about the term Goa that everyone uses regardless of the actual music produced I think the idea of dividing the forum accordingly would be a huge mistake. Think of us old schoolers, we wouldn't have anyone reading our rants about how bad NeoGoa is etc etc :P:P

I decided to pass this comp. I think it's time for me to buy judging by what I really like and not by what I hoped I would like.

VA Terraformer (Global Sect)
thanosp81 replied to GS Concept's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
LOL. Unfortunately Terraformer was my last attempt on newly produced Goa (get it? not NeoGoa). I might be old, grumpy etc etc but I will continue hunting any oldschool Goa releases I miss from my collection or pleasant surprises the likes of which Zion604 and Dat Records deliver. No offence to the people involved, which you can tell they do a pretty good job, it's just not for me. -

Failed to notice that. Ahahaha

Seems pretty accurate to me

Use WAV instead

Hmmm, I guess they would be (from my personal collection): Cyan vs. Psycho Meditation ‎– Transistance Elysium ‎– Monzoon Astral Projection ‎– Trust In Trance (I have the comp version but oh, well) Juno Reactor ‎– Beyond The Infinite Man With No Name ‎– Moment Of Truth But that I guess can rapidly change depending on the mood

Well, just a more lite version of him

Am I the only one that can't make sense of the post?

I remember the old times. The dj didn't have time to dance, he was too busy trying to find the proper entrance point of the track, beatmatching, sorting through his vinyls/cds etc. If I see someone dancing the thought that comes into my mind is Auto.

X-Dream - Remixed [Flying Rhino]

And there you have it. Everyone tried to copy a fantastic album and Goa/psy became so formulaic that people lost interest. One of the things that made that album a classic was how different sounded compared to the rest goa/psy at the time. -
Very well put, exactly how I feel until...the drugs reference, you killed it there. Fuck drugs, only music.
