  1. Is that a comment on the quality of the music? Because in appropriate conditions I can fall asleep to any music, even my favourite one
  2. Seems like HOMmega is catching up wind again after releasing Astrix' and Infected Mushroom's albums recently and is about to put out another interesting artist: Full album available to listen:
  3. It's perfect music for working - very atmospheric, chilling, not particularly distracting. Great stuff
  4. Really, really good! Let me guess, you took inspiration from Infected Mushroom's "Classical Mushroom" & "B.P.Empire"? The production is a bit muddier, less 'surgical' and the musical ideas are not as fleshed out like IM's, but you're definitely getting there. Followed!
  5. Really nice! Would you care to link your music as well?
  6. Yeah, I know: https://www.psynews.org/forums/topic/71839-globular-holobiont/
  7. Oh, and this might also be what you're looking for: http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/fuzzonaut-fictional-grooves
  8. From the new stuff I'd recommend checking Martian Arts' album - it does not sound like GNoTR per se, but it's similar in spirit: funky, groovy and acidy (but not as heavily acidy like GNoTR): https://www.psynews.org/forums/topic/73083-martian-arts-giant-locusts-tip-records/ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLF_JLOo4y5mlFppm8WyY9AwOLWmWxeDB
  9. Then you owe it to yourself and check Psymmetrix albums! They're IMO the best the label has to offer
  10. Hi there! I'm also Artur and also from Poland!
  11. I'm fully aware this won't get a lot of fans here, but for those enjoying the sound of Bom Shanka Rec. or Wildthings Rec., this should sound very appealing: 01. Eat Static & Chris Rich - Program Your Brain 02. Chris Rich & Quadrant - Pete Sweenis 03. Psymmetrix & Chris Rich - Spooki and his Sepia Pillow 04. Chris Rich & Occular - Pet Wussy 05. Filterheads & Chris Rich - Nocturnal Dialogue 06. Chris Rich & Smizer - Lo Tech Mediocore 07. Chris Rich - Dance of The Robot 08. Parasense & Chris Rich - Not Even On Sunrise 09. Chris Rich & Southwild - Take A Walk 10. Synthetik Chaos & Chris Rich - Mango Lassi 11. Chris Rich - Gophenstein's Monster
  12. God no! I try to understand the other point of view because I think it's equally valid and actually very useful for my music reviewing - I like to understand how people perceive music (https://www.psynews.org/forums/topic/72612-what-are-you-looking-for-in-music/) Wow, OK
  13. Ok, I appreciate and value every opinion, but "linear" or "anti-climatic"?! And somehow both Proxeeus and Vaesna - that are much more linear, flat and predictable than this - ended up in your Top10 for 2016?! Still can't wrap my head around how those "taste" and "opinion" things work... And this very comment is the best example of that Thanks for feedback, anyway
  14. Indeed, that's one similarity that I haven't thought of but it's definitely there! The album is on constant rotation here and my preference likewise moved towards the latter half of the album, the trio of "Skunk Funk", "Discrete Circuit" and "Downward Dog" in particular. Really lovely stuff!
  15. @Nactarios, I forgot to ask that in the interview, but do you really have those wave forms tattooed on your fingers like in the avatar? If so, that's so awesome!!!
  16. His music is done on an Android phone, using Caustic 3 so take that into account
  17. Yeah, I was pretty surprised to hear that it sounds more like a follow-up to his "Alien Jams" with Cosmosis, than to Tulpa, especially since it's coming out on TIP Records. But now I'm even more excited about it, because of that change of pace - it's not a chill-ot per se, more like a downtempo psytrance like Flooting Grooves or The Peaking Goddess Collective.
  18. That bass must physically hurt while played loud on good speakers - it really dominates, which I don't think is a good thing. I'd consider shortening that bass sound, to make it more 'stabby' instead of 'droning' maybe? Otherwise, it sounds like something Proxeeus would release, which is a bit too monotone for my personal taste. I mean there's nothing wrong with 'entrancing' repetition, but it too needs to develop over time dosing the intensity gradually. Easier said than done, but that's what I feel is somehow missing - it's all on similar 'energy' level somehow.
  19. Fully deserved, MichaƂ! And please give us a follow-up soon(er) than the last time
  20. http://www.arabesquedistribution.com/index.php?option=com_artistavenue&task=singleCd&id=3770&Itemid=1 Looking forward to this one!
  21. No new Ott, Shulman or Shpongle will do that For me, I bought a lot of downtempo / chill stuff last year, but 95% was released prior to 2016 and not strictly psy-chill, so I indeed struggled with voting in this category.
  22. @Rotwang, thanks for taking your time to do this! The 2016 was a really good year, with lots of awesome - and quite diverse - releases! 2017 shapes up to be great as well. We're in for a wild ride
