  1. Agree with the above, but - as I said in the OP - this is nothing new for Braincell. His albums were always very correct, but "samey" like they're a background for the actual music that somehow was never added What's worse, I think his early stuff was better - full of swirly, goa-ish melodies / arpeggios - and only in 3rd or 4th album he directed his style towards this more generic, non-melodic full-on / morning sound.
  2. Great review for awesome release! Keep them coming
  3. You mean the cost of printing and thus the profit margin for Suntrip? Because I don't think the LEs were sold at different price (10EUR)?
  4. No, as Anoebis explained some time ago, they believe some releases will have limited appeal compared to typical Suntrip releases (aka fast goa), and this one is apparently perceived as such - this was the case for new unknown artists (Innerspace, Cosmic Dimension) and an album including several already released tracks (Dimension 5's "TransStellar"). This one is ambient / downtempo, so again - not typical for Suntrip. I however feel that this is some kind of self fulfilling prophecy - if you limit the channels the music is sold through to Suntrip's shops, then it will obviously sell less, thus proving the point of indeed being a good candidate for limited release This choice is especially strange for this release, where I'd suspect most people know it's a part of trilogy and would buy all 3 parts regardless of whether it's "typical Suntrip" or not. I don't mind. I'll but it like I do with all Suntrip's releases, was just curious
  5. @Anoebis, one more thing - I just noticed it's a "limited release": SUNCDLE06. Why is that? Does it mean it won't be distributed via Arabesque like all your "non-limited" releases and thus won't be available outside of Suntrip's web-store and Bandcamp?
  6. I (and others I'd imagine) would appreciate if you considered adding another track to Bandcamp purchase then - a full mixed CD. Like so: https://sebtaylor.bandcamp.com/album/the-aquarius-ep
  7. Personally I'm yet to listen to few more 2016 releases & there's still two weeks left until voting is closed, so I'll vote by then
  8. Really nice, both of them! What is it with flood of talented Georgians (first 2kija, now this ) Lots of awesome music on your SoundCloud - subscribed!
  9. 1st, this forum isn't very active at all - you'll typically have 1-2 new topics and 10-20 new replies per day 2nd, if you wan't feedback to your music do it in here: https://www.psynews.org/forums/forum/72-free-music-promotion/; this subforum is for new commercial releases and self-promotion topics are usually ignored
  10. I'm gonna get some hate for saying this, but for me this is the 2nd best DAT release after Etnica Live '96. Whenever I'm driving - which is 1.5h hour every day - it's on, and loud. Definitely in my top 5 albums of 2016! <3
  11. Yeah, that's pretty much my feelings as well. Although hard to judge this particular album, because the samples on Soundcloud are of suspiciously low quality.
  12. You're off to a great start! Actually I envy you, because music-making is the best at the beginning, when you still don't really "know" what you're doing, so you experiment a lot without caring for the rules and therefore are not afraid of breaking them. Have fun! Keep us updated on your progress, preferably in here: https://www.psynews.org/forums/forum/72-free-music-promotion/
  13. 6th Braincell's album was just released: Sounds good, but - typically for Braincell - somehow not particularly exciting...
  14. Guy released 6 full-length albums and he's virtually unknown? Well, I need to check it out Thanks for the heads up!
  15. Can I hear the samples & see how it looks like? Genuinely interested
  16. I thought you already found a perfect means to publish this - https://www.psynews.org/forums/topic/72857-do-you-know-marquis-who-is-who/
  17. Agreed, it's such a wonderful CD - Aaron has his very unique, signature sound and whatever style he does you can always tell it's him. If not having them yet, get "9 Lives", "One" & "You Live In A Zoo" immediately
  18. I encourage everyone to read through it. I'm like 10% through and pee'd myself laughing twice already... BTW, my wish - https://www.psynews.org/forums/topic/72857-do-you-know-marquis-who-is-who/ - was granted!
  19. Man, I just adore how you don't care for goa/psy conventions and do your thing! I love the sense of progression here, how it gets denser & denser with each minute. The effects you apply to almost every sound are just spot on, creating that 'funky' / 'groovy' vibe. I really appreciate how most of the 'lead' lines are vague, chaotic and 'random' because this is - for me - a key to music being psychedelic: you're constantly surprised, constantly on the edge not knowing how things develop. I think that for some other track I compared you to modern day Sean "Process" Williams and I stick by that. Awesome work, once again!
  20. Wow, really incredible, especially 'Sonus Arcanum' - so warm & spacious! Keep them coming! I'd love to hear your uptempo stuff, if you have any? Followed on SC
  21. Incredible!!! Please have someone master the recording properly (a slight boost on bass & treble would help I think) and ideally release it on CD - I'd buy it
  22. I appreciate the impeccable and unusual style, the 'organic' / 'live' feel of it, the great production values, the very obvious personal sound signature. You seem to know what you want and how to execute on that vision. Having said that, I know that even for myself I'd listen to it very rarely, because it's so dark, sterile and claustrophobic. If you do the music for yourself & selected few dedicated fans then it's all good, but if you want to reach wider audience you'll need to get out of your comfort zone - add few more "normal" acid lines and melodic hooks, focus on clear progression and pacing, maybe even brighten up the atmosphere a bit. As is, I really REALLY like it both technically & artistically, but it's extremely niche music
