  1. Three issues with it: - the bass would probably work & sound better one octave lower, - I like the unusual beat, but it gets a bit messy / sloppy in 2nd third, - the track should end around 5:30 - the "melody" at 6:00 and especially at 6:30 is terrible (sorry ),
  2. @Martian Arts, awesome! BTW, this little thing blew my mind:
  3. Got a heart attack thinking new album is coming out... Now I'm just sad
  4. Maybe someone will find that useful (re-post of my post-purchase feedback from other forum):
  5. I toyed with this on at the shop - it's sound incredible, is very small / handy and looks absolutely lovely!
  6. @T2MU, Richpa, RR, John - thanks for chiming in. Happy to see I wasn't the only one to appreciate the album, despite its flaws
  7. I was never into those big, whole-ear cans and I'm mainly sticking to in-ear headphones: - Senheisser for detailed, clear and balanced sound, - JBL for more bassy / less fatiguing and more "lush" sound, - Sony bluetooth set for jogging, but they're good just for that - the sound is noisy and bass heavy, which works for running but not much else. Unless you're not producing music, I'd say for longer listening something more bassy and with lower emphasis with high frequencies should be ideal, because modern production tends to overblow mid / high sounds, which gets tiresome after a while.
  8. Thank YOU! It's been a great year for Neogoa releases and the scene as a whole!
  9. Sure, but after using soundcloud.com such approach suddenly feels cumbersome and convoluted
  10. Anyone has any experience with Usine's Holyhock software? It looks mindbogling - the possibilities seem endless:
  11. I think JohnB820 was referring to web-player, as opposed to how it works e.g. on soundcloud.com. On bandcamp.com, if you stream something on the web and click almost any link on the page it will stop playing and follow the link. On soundcloud.com this is not the case, as the player is a background process (a separate UI layer that's always on top) and you have to actively press "||" to stop the playback.
  12. I'm sure he means "delete" from your bandcamp.com collection and not available any longer for download & streaming.
  13. Yeah, we know https://www.psynews.org/forums/topic/72772-va-phases-of-madness-goa-madness/ Looking forward to it!
  14. I do and I know that, but I'm asking if doing like I described wasn't an easier solution to a problem that - indeed - shouldn't exist in the first place.
  15. If that's the case, then some people have too much free time on their hands...
  16. Isn't it possible for Piers to give the d/l codes to individual albums making up the Limited Edition to the people that bought it? Just like Draeke is doing for Virtuart 2CD if bought via DAT Records store? I understand part of the proceeds from LE go to him, right?
  17. How did you "break" it? Can't you swap the HDD to new computer at least, to retrieve at least some of the data back?
  18. Well, as much as I don't "get" NHJO's music, I'm really rooting for him that his plans for setting up a proper label and release good stuff work out! His enthusiasm - combined with the way he expresses himself - is frankly infectious and "adorable". Everyone needs to start somewhere Unless it's a joke account & he's a troll, then I'll be looking like a fool.
  19. I saw one can get around this problem by putting a ridiculously high price, like here: https://digitalreprints.bandcamp.com/releases I thought "WTF?" when I saw it Oh! Thanks for that - I love Seb's music in all incarnations
  20. Incidentally, that's the topic suggested by Google for me today: https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/dec/11/google-frames-shapes-and-distorts-how-we-see-world It does confirm what you're suggesting - repeat a lie enough times and it will become the truth - but that sort of shit scares the hell out of me. It's becoming increasingly difficult to tell the truth from lies
  21. You mean "chimp" surely? Sorry, couldn't resist I actually preferred you in your previous incarnation as LuBu - I loved your genuine enthusiasm for goa, martial arts and your family. Now you're just behaving like a troll... Sure, it's fun initially but it's tiresome after a while... But then I'm probably seen by many as too serious, analytical and no-fun, so maybe you're just an acquired taste
  22. One thing I just noticed is they should improve their web player (AFAIR it works fine in Android app) - if music is on and you click something on the page it usually will stop the playback and follows the link. It would be ideal if they adopted soundcloud.com's approach, where the player is a separate thread in the background. Otherwise, it's a God send for stubborn old-school people like myself, who refuse to go fully digital
  23. So, I guess it's time for us to acknowledge how good a service they provide, right? I checked and for the last half year the music I purchased was 60-70% via bandcamp.com and I'm really glad such a service is there. It's unique in that it allows to buy digital + physical for many releases, especially in psy/goa world this is pretty common, but at the same time lets you build the digital collection for streaming (unlike Psyshop or Beatspace, where you can d/l the files, but that's a one-time thing only). Normally I wasn't appreciating this last feature, but today I forgot to take my tablet to work and suddenly - if it wasn't for bandcamp.com's streaming - I'd be left without music... I also understand that bandcamp.com is a better option for artists & labels, because they get a bigger cut compared to psyshop / beatspace? I only pray that - as a company - their business model remains prudent and safe, so that they won't vanish from the market Who's with me?
