  1. BTW, all of you that liked this should appreciate Bill's side-project - borderline cheesy, but still classy balearic funk: https://soundcloud.com/user-539268331/sets/funk-jazzy-groovy
  2. I probably know what you're getting at, but I hope not - I loved his noisy, screechy sound
  3. Well, apparently Loud is releasing soon a new album and - thankfully - it sounds nothing like typical Nano Rec. release. Really looking forward to it!
  4. Man, I was right - it's Adam Richard Wiles and Adam Dyment respectively! Now I need to dig deeper which one is the hairdresser and which one is a fashion designer
  5. What can I say - I'm a simple man, with simple urges Here's few more: BTW, those artist names - Calvin Harris, Duke Dumont, etc. - need to be made up (i.e. they're artist aliases) surely? They sound like names of gay hairdressers or fashion designers...
  6. Oh, you lot gonna hate me for this: but I find it very catchy & infectious, actually just like a lot of 'deep house' music nowadays
  7. Yeah, know what you mean - it is my question as well as I share this view to some extent. I'm saying 'to some extent' because my take on it is that the scene is active and bursting with life, but not necessarily in a way we'd all like it to, i.e. towards more psychedelic, deep and melodic forms instead of bland, but easily digestible full-on and progressive pulp. But good question indeed
  8. Guys, I'm planning to do an interview with Drezz to create some buzz around launch of "Brainradio", so if you have any particular questions you'd like answered (other than the typical stuff about background, inspirations, gear, etc.) then please PM me with ideas. Thanks!
  9. They're definitely being sent from Poland (by Marek / Komix), but I don't know where they're pressed. Will ask tomorrow
  10. Samples are up: http://www.arabesquedistribution.com/index.php?option=com_artistavenue&task=singleCd&id=3703&Itemid=1 and it releases on 29th July
  11. Is it any good? I was told it's "dance" now
  12. You know the pain, right? For some years now I try to be reasonable with my spending, so it's not an issue any more But you've actually caught me off guard sending the CD so fast - I was counting on picking it up when we meet for lunch next week BTW, just listening to it now, it must have been a bitch to master properly, considering the variety - it sounds really awesome, loving the Doof, Gus BUS Till & GNOTR tracks in particular!
  13. F**k me, my wife just called to say my CD - ordered yesterday - just arrived!!! So if you ever looked for a reason to live in Poland, we have ultra fast delivery of Dat Records goodies Thanks Marek & Draeke!
  14. @Tal, good luck trying to make it work again, as I personally never had any issues (I feel for those who did ) and love all your releases. I hope the troubles with communication & shipping will get solved, because it would be very sad to loose your label from the scene. Fingers crossed!
  15. It's always special when I'm able to order some varied music! Last week I got: - Ephedra - Flying Over The Universe - Shivattva - The Tales of Hravia - Sundial Aeon - Analysis
  16. I've only d/l-ed it today, so can't comit to any deadline, but will definitely write something if it's any good...
  17. I'm placing my order just now, but listening to samples it sounds like a classic, old-school TIP Records vs. Flying Rhino compilation
  18. It's coming! http://www.arabesquedistribution.com/index.php?option=com_artistavenue&task=singleCd&id=3703&Itemid=1
  19. I had no issue with M-Run's mastering work on Cronomi releases, but Colin does have a magic touch that makes everything sound +20% better, so there's that
  20. Wow, that's a spot on description! Indeed, the music is still (very) good, but somehow it lost its edge, rawness - it become pretty predictable, playing-it-safe and the melodies aren't as memorable as they were on the debut album. I like it, some tracks a lot ("Melosomnia" and "Citric Storm" are awesome, dripping with acid!), but I don't think I'll be coming back to it a lot in few months...
  21. @HappyHorse, who's doing the mastering? Colin or M-Run?
  22. To @recursionloop's list I'd add Master Blasters' "Life Changing Experiences" as it is THE full-on album of the decade IMO: Also, I've always had a soft spot for Headroom's "Artelligent":
  23. It was 1997 (I was 21) and my friend *by accident* (we were then into German minimal techno, i.e. Tresor Records etc.) bought this compilation: https://www.discogs.com/Various-UK-Space-Techno-Vol-I/release/157997 which had Disco Volante's "El Metro (Cosmosis remix)" and Tuffan's "Probe (Green Nuns Remix)" I've been hooked ever since
