  1. Why? He's my friend, one of Poland's biggest goa/psy collectors and he's working with Dat Records distributing (maybe even printing?) their CDs. I think he's here as 'Komix'
  2. For those of you who purchased it over at bandcamp, it's up for download! Can't wait to take it for a spin while jogging in the evening
  3. I don't know the details, but why do we assume bad intentions (by suggesting he deserves to be burned)?! As I said - if someone is getting involved in the scene to hunt obscure, forgotten old music and to release it to the public in a proper manner, good mastering, promotion, etc. surely they don't do it to scam people?? It can end up not working properly for multitude of reasons, starting from legal issues, to distribution problems, poor communication or even persons' individual beliefs / convictions getting associated with label or music they release. Not to mention language barriers, that often lead to unnecessary confusion (hi Starkraver ) and can seriously influence person's perception on the net. And even if someone had ulterior intentions, how much can they really profit by printing e.g. 1000 CDs without paying to the artists or their buyers - 1-2k EUR/$ before the word spreads out and they're left with hundreds of unsold units? Would that be enough to have your name dragged through the mud, so to speak? If Tal / Anjuna really has other albums in the pipeline ready to be printed, then he obviously must have paid for legal documentation with artists, maybe some advance fees, new mastering, artwork design, etc. and by not releasing it he's actually burning through his own money, which would be strange for a cynical thief I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, because I never had any issues with Anjuna releases (buying through Bandcamp). I hope things get resolved soon and we get to see new stuff from him!
  4. Heh. I've been a member here since early 2000 (as 'Antic') and quit recently due to being fed up with some people not being able to take constructive criticism and elitist behaviors of some of the members... but as it's clearly visible I'm back. This is still the best place for goa/psy-trance related information, news on upcoming releases, reviews, etc. outside of maybe Facebook which I don't use. It's true that average member here is more skewed in their preferences towards classic goa trance (old & new), but there's supporters of every sub-genre so I don't think it's 'hostile' towards people liking progressive, darkpsy, suomi or whatever - they'll most likely be ignored rather than criticized.
  5. @Anoebis, would you at least be willing & able to put samples from the album on-line? I'll probably receive it next week and the wait is killing me
  6. Ok, I must have misunderstood you, you worded it poorly or both. I see we agree on the topic :-)
  7. I'm failing to see the logic here... So, by extension it would be OK for me to steal a Lamborghini if I don't have the money for it, because even if I had the money I wouldn't buy it as I prefer Ferrari? And don't even start with the "you can't copy a car for free" cliche, because it never made sense.
  8. I'm actually very relaxed, enjoying my lunch break Also, just talking about the principle and not whether the issue is small or big. And once again scratching my head with disbelief at the opinions posted by people who I thought were level-headed and reasonable...
  9. So basically you're saying that if there's no such agreement in place and if Suntrip would attract Israeli artists, steal their music and release it; you'd be fine with it?! BTW, I believe Kris Kylven is based in Europe, so there's that...
  10. Really? And it doesn't concern you that Suntrip - an established legal entity, tax payer, etc. - might be actually selling illegally released music? Not saying this is the case, but at the very least you should investigate the real situation and act accordingly to your findings. For all we know 100% of the price that Anoebis paid to Anjuna for UX albums goes to his (Tal's) pocket and will go towards covering printing costs only and not to reward the intellectual property rights of UX. That's some hippie logic right there...
  11. Well, it's not that simple... If there indeed is some legal dispute between Anjuna and UX and the former is not entitled to release the band's work, then *distribution* by Suntrip can also be seen as illegal (i.e. fencing of stolen goods). Sure, we're all super excited to get our hands on it regardless of its legal status because it will be a very rare CD and maybe won't be printed anymore, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't ask questions. For example, if UX doesn't get any money from it - do you think it's still fair for Suntrip to sell it and for us to buy it? I don't think it's fair, therefore I'm trying to get to the bottom of it ...even if I was among the first people to order it EDIT: God forbid, I'm not suggesting Anoebis knew / knows the CDs are not legal. I'm just describing a scenario that could possibly explain the whole situation.
  12. @Joske, sorry for my 'plot thickens' comment - it was more referring to the (unlikely) possibility of Tal hacking your account here to scam people, as someone suggested :-) As I said, I never had any issues with Anjuna Rec. and don't think anyone who releases such great quality music out of their own will and likely little to no profit would do so to cheat people - probably some bad luck with post office, poor sales organisation and very likely bad communication. It happens, but - again - I'm only commenting based on my experience. Suntrip - and Jos personally because we traded few CDs in the past - were always top notch so it's sad to see such accusations or insinuations, but I'm sure they were meant as a (poor) jokes as well... It's a bit worrying, that UX distances itself from Anjuna and Suntrip in the snapshot above, becuase it suggests that wathever differences there were between UX and Anjuna, they were not resolved and by extension UX is 'pissed off' on Suntrip who's helping to distribute the album. Maybe there's still some unresolved legal dispute and Anjuna doesn't have the right to actually sell them (yet?). @Richpa, will there be a physical release for new UX album?
  13. Ok, I think you're just splitting hairs, but what do I know about hair - I look basically just like my avatar
  14. For reference - is the version of Master of the Universe (Epic Live Mix) the same as it was on V/A Lucid Flux?
  15. @astral, not sure I follow you at all and I never encountered the term "progressive goa"...
