UX – Audissey (Live & Beyond) - Anjuna Records
antic604 replied to Anoebis's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
I wonder how different are those "live" versions from album ones and if "crowd noises" do not interfere too much (I think I remember they were supposed to be there?). Also, fingers crossed they got rid of terrible volume levels differences that were on the original album (and the free re-master)... -

Cosmosis never made psytrance? And "Intergalactic" is progressive goa? Now I've heard it all... Regarding the topic of best psychedelic trippy trance album, this will forever - for me - be a tie between Koxbox "Dragon Tales" and Cosmosis "Synergy". They're both so intricate, so full of sonic patchworks and mind-bending aural patterns everything that came before or after fades in comparison.

UX – Audissey (Live & Beyond) - Anjuna Records

OMG! You're the best, Anoebis! Could you post some pictures of the UX release? The tracklist? EDIT: Oh, I actually see it was added to Anjuna's shop: http://www.anjunarecords.com/shop/ux-audissey-live-beyond/ -
[For sale] Mystery of Yeti, Feeling Weird, Phosphorescent, Cosmology
antic604 replied to antic604's topic in For Sale/ Trade
Since there's the most interest in Cosmosis, below I captured some photos. The disc & back cover are basically mint, but front cover has some dents - the original user probably didn't close it properly -
Sure, greatly appreciated! Fully support whatever you do!

Yeah, I know - Colin is *supposedly* expensive, but damn! he's worth it! His mastering is always so clean, punchy and spacious. Of course in the end it is the music that matters, so I'm sure it will be great regardless.
-
Awesome!!! Who's doing the mastering? I hope for Colin OOOD as well

I've not been doing that for some time, but while browsing a local used CD store I stumbled on below releases. I already have them, but since they were not very expensive (cost of 4 new CDs from Psyshop + shipping) and in very good condition, I thought I can find them a good home. Otherwise, I'll keep them as backups... V/A - Mystery of The Yeti (TIPCD09) I'd say it is basically mint (CD+inlays), although obviously not new; V/A - Phosphorescent (TIPCD08) is in very good condition - front inlay was slightly, very gently bent (as if you were rolling a sheet of paper) but there are no visible marks; The Infinity Project - Feeling Weird (TIPCD3) is like new also; Cosmosis - Cosmology (TRANRCD604) is very good as well, but has some small marks on its black front cover; The discs in all four look pretty perfect to me (no scratches), while the jewel cases are obviously pretty scuffed and need replacing. If interested, please send me a PM! My seler feedback history: https://www.psynews.org/forums/topic/31067-antic/ https://www.discogs.com/sell/seller_feedback/antic

Yeah, I know WHY you delay it but it doesn't make the wait easier Too bad that the Skizologic CD - I guess that was the last one? - was so heavily pirated, as it was one of the best albums released in this genre last year! At least I hope this gave you enough exposure that future releases of his and the lablel will be more succesful (financially, I mean). You fully deserve it!

Astrix - He.art (HOMmega)
antic604 replied to antic604's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
Nobody's perfect and for my excuse it was the cover that caught my eye -
Not sure about the music (typical morning full-on / prog with triplets and the like) and the pretentious reference to "art" in the title, but the cover is very nice:

Oh my, that's very sad to hear He was such a nice, intelligent and kind person - too bad he left the forum, but obviously even more tragic that he had to leave the Earth altogether... RIP

Great news! Cautiously looking forward to hearing that! "Cautiously" because - for me - it was Pete Martin who gave the UX that particular, swirly/tweaky sound I love about them; just check his releases as Slide ("Unstable" on Transient Rec.) or numerous singles as Satori (on Matsuri). Kris on the other hand was responsible for their industrial, experimental sound - solo as Element Over Nature / Syb Unity Nettwerk - which for me was a hit & miss. Anyway, hoping the hear more in not so distant future! :-)

Well, they need to pay for site maintenance & bandwidth, so I can imagine they charge something obviously. I however don't think Zion604 has their own webshop (like Suntrip or Hado have), so I figured it's the best way to support them. Would love to get some clarity on who charges what, although I suspect it varies by label, print size, etc.
-
Too bad. Personally I never had any real issue with them, maybe because I was buying through Bandcamp and waiting for CDs didn't bothered me as I had access to mp3-s. And as I said, I really enjoyed their releases: all the compilations as well as albums by Moonweed and Nervasystem were amongst the best old-school re-issues I ever saw. Damn... :-(
-
So, what's up with Anjuna Records? I purchased & loved all their releases so far and there was some promising stuff in the pipeline. Anyone?
-
Don't worry, Zion604 was always doing it like that - don't know why. Also, recently they hired Arabesque to distribute their CDs, so it will be available in Psyshop.com, etc. (http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/zio/zio1cd012.html) Still, I love Bandcamp and imagine labels are getting bigger profit share (compard to Psyshop, etc), so I purchased my copy there :-)

You know that's a bullshit justification, right? I for example got my CDs from Dat a week before d/l were available and had issues ripping them as well (scratches). Not to mention the documented earlier issues with 3rd disc (distortion, wrong speed, etc.). Draeke is forever one of the greatest contributors to the scene, but recent releases clearly point to need of better quality control... Damn, I left the forum to avoid those kinds of discussions and yet I'm here doing it again... :-(
