i think OP talks about timeless political references. more like a philosophical kind of thought rather than, for example, anti-thatcher speach. i think it can be interesting. something like this but political psytrance is not related to hedonism. not IMO at least.

hey guys, i come here with a somewhat wierd request. a friend of mine is a fashion designer and she is holding a fashion show. so, she asked me to make an hour-long set with a tribal theme (with lyrics if possible). so, me being an not so experienced dj this is a real a challenge and my track collection is not lenghty enough to fill one hour with quality music. at the same time i can't use tracks with high bpms because it cannnot be very fast because it is not a party and it cant be that psychedelic either what im requesting are tribal tracks in the 120-135bpm range. to sum up what im asking for: tribal tracks btw 120 - 135 bpm, with lyrics if possible i will post here what i got and feel free to contribute with anything that comes to your mind. planet ben - ant invasion etnoscope - freedom etnoscope - sneaky drums etnoscope - odins kraft elysium - wind of dust elysium vs worm - Yemaya sven vath - ritual of life shpongle - the epiphany of mrs kugla mory kante vs loverush UK - yeke yekeƧ

Guide a goa-head to the best psy-trance albums
awanteelpsyvieja replied to MrAnarchy's topic in General Psytrance
1) personally i like everything from logic bomb. this album in particular 2) if you come from goa this album may be too tech or rough but it is worth listening anyway. not-so-bassy full on 3) excellent, acid, strong full on album. from the first to the last sound. except for cartoons samples IMO but there are just a few. 4) probably the best bass lines producers in psy. in a world where full on is abusing dull basslines, etnoscope came to refresh psysounds. (way over deadline is an excellent album too) will edit if i remember more. also listening to suggestions realted to what i posted -
so... i've been listening psytrance for 2 years now. i'm enjoying the journey so much but there's only one problem. there is too much psy to listen. this is not a problem in itself because i would like to listen to new psy for years to come but at the same time i would like to reach some basic level of psytrance knowledge. that would include many must-hear producers as well as specially creative producers and many newschool producers who are good enough to shape the psysound into new directions. that would be just to reach this 'basic level of psyknowledge' i was talking about. it's a difficult task because with each track, album or compilation i listen to, there happens to be more that one artist from who i've never heard anything from. browsing psynews has helped me A LOT in getting to know artists so i come here again, asking your help to make some kind of must-listen-to artists. i'm also making this because, for example, i stil haven't listened to the entire juno reactor's discography, or even hallucinogen's. so, in order to start listening to really fresh things i believe i need to know the basics first. nevertheless, i encourage you to recommend newschool artists too. also, i'm looking for artists that have an extensive discography like electric universe, so as to listen to it chronologically and getting to understand goa/psy evolution through the years. . astral projection . juno reactor . hallucinogen . koxbox . mwnn . transwave . x dream . blue planet corporation . hux flux . vibrasphere . elysium . doof . infinity project . mfg . infected mushroom . process . planet ben . human blue . electric universe . space tribe . dark soho . eat static . cosma . cosmosis . logic bomb . total eclipse . chi - a.d. . slinky wizard . wizzy noise . etnoscope . etnica . shpongle . jaia . gnor . pleaiadians i dj in my room and want to really understand what psytrance means, its essence before leaving my room and being in front of a crowd. what would you recommend? my list can have mistakes too, feel free to critize it too.

Psy-trance with heavy guitar riffs?
awanteelpsyvieja replied to MrAnarchy's topic in General Psytrance
FOR FUCK SAKES WHAT A TRACK. how come i never heard anything from morphic resonance before. that track, and for what im listening right now, their sound, comprises every aspect of how high tempo psy should be for me (or at least that was the kind of psy i've been looking for) thanks man. any other artists simmilar to MR? -
as said in the title this thread is about TheMostGroundBreakingTrackYouOwn meaning that you can only post ONE track. a track that, in your opinion, cant fail if properly mixed

lawt year i saw christopher lawrence playing a 2 hour set (closing for PVD which sucked really hard) this guy came and destroyed the dancefloor with nothing more than full on but, unlike egorythmia and many other full on artists i've seen, he kicked asses. CL's full on, though banging the entire hour, seem to communicate a lot, making you feel the adrenalin with every track. i really like some of his production besides i wanted to give some more examples of what im looking for: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JO3uWTrC-Vg&index=19&list=PLV_1wBk6MITTBFyjYFt7D3DYOqZBgBbDY

hi guys, im starting this post because i'm finding hard to find full on tracks that appeal my taste. everytime i listen to nowadays productions i notice that most tracks start with an intro which ends abruptly followed by a totally expected and monotonous bass. i get that full on puts the accent on the bass, but maaan, its becoming simply abusive. i went a few times to Buenos Aires Psy, which is somewhat of a mainstream full on party, so im used to (and even expect) the most agressive kind of psy all night long. BUT this time they brought EGORYTHMIA. this guy came, locked the bass eq at 200% and do fucking nothing for 2 hours but banging the floor. monotonous, dull, totally against the unlimited possibilities offered by production/track selection. i was forced to sit and wait until it ended that nightmarish set. so it got me thinking that i dont have real good full on tracks and maybe i'm just not looking in the right places can you recommend good full on tracks? this would be an example of what im looking for.

SFX is AP's name before being called AP. posford didnt invent psy. on one invented psy. psy is a derivation from minimal techno, like everything else. https://www.discogs.com/es/SFX-The-Unreleased-Tracks-89-94/release/68966

here is what im looking for. groovy psy w/lyrics. excellent track IMO

i guess that what im thinking off is more easily achievable through the use of a lyric sample mixed over a full on base, though i was really hoping there was more stuff like that, already produced that way. the album was insane, and, in this case, lyrics only improved an already good track

hi guys, im new so first of all im gonna introduce myself. i'm 24, from argentina, and i've been going to electronic parties for four or five years until i decided to buy a midi controller and a friend of mine gave me a pen drive with many discographies. it was sorted out alphabetically so i started with the first folder which was called astral projection and that was the beginning. so now i come here looking for tracks everyday and i've encountered the most incredible, unexpected and unbelievable music ever, but i've noticed that there aren't many tracks with lyrics. i mean actual lyrics. if i would have to make some kind of exemplificacion i would say that what im looking is the psytrance version of uplifting lyrics (withouth being cheesee) more than the usual robotic/twisted samples. also looking for trance with house influences like
