  1. Here's a simpler example : He's mixing with live tracking files and 2 amiga computers and we're not sure but we think he created a DJ software tool for the Amigas. Post Edit : The music is all Old School. Acid , breakbeats etc.. http://cdm.link/2013/12/amiga-back-djing-two-cdj-style-turntables-will-amaze-friends/
  2. Yes we explained that. and the fact it's not like JMJ it's because there is no money for it. But if you look at it even DJ's don't DJ anymore... As antic604 said : it's press play or 'stick your usb pen in' as we heard many years ago that astral did that lol As for Simon Posford, Eat Static or Juno Reactor we never seen him playing live but from those three we would believe Juno Reactor would. He has been involved in movie soundtracks such as the Matrix and that has put him in a really high place and very respectable in our opinion. As for Simon Posford we don't have any expectations as hallucinogen, we see him as hype along with raja ram but you are probably reffering to sphongle yes we remember now , they play live as a band. Eat Static... maybe. They are old school and if they had the proper conditions they would be able to as anybody else would be if the proper condition would be given. But there's no money , it's a big risk and it's as you said : 'If you have to fly 1000 km's to play in a desert without any insurance for your gear, I can understand that you don't bring anything valuably from the studio with you.'
  3. That's very true. But thats's not the artists fault aswel. We think that for an artist to perform live it is required a very high quality organization , a proper stage and ensure all equipment is provided . We wouldn't call it a 'live act' but the proper word would be : a concert. Look at Jean Michel Jarre for example. Even today with software it's not impossible. Filipe says if he would be supplied with two computers , two midi controllers and ensure everything is synced he would be able to play his songs on the fly straight out of DAW. Of course there is the fact some virtual instruments can be unstable because of 'bugs' in programming and playback can suffer. For those he would be forced probably to play the audio and try to play some extra sequences if possible. The good point with hardware it's that it's very reliable because a computer does nothing else than sending MIDI messages which is a great thing and makes it extremely reliable. Take Filteria for example. Jannis has a very nice studio. We're sure if he could he would. But why did he not carry his studio to a live performance? Because no artist wants his musical gear damaged. There's dust and there's other factors , liquid spillages and many accidents can occur in psytrance 'parties'. It just hasn't got the right level to bring a respectable concert. Back in the 90's , why did the live factor happen? They didn't have any other choice. If they wanted to play live they were forced to put computers and get the gear. We're pretty sure it wasn't easy but as you see in the videos , it wasn't impossible. Today things are changed because technology also changed the addition of being able to produce music with just a computer revolutionized a lot of the music industry. Now anybody can download a few bits of software and come up with something. It's not a bad thing , some people are talented and cannot afford to buy big synthesizers and others don't have any talent throw anything and can become famous. That's how it is lol. The addition of playback can also be the alternative to an artist saving his musical instruments. No artist will want to expose his musical gear to dust , heat , rain and many other factors. Ask it to any artist they will tell you the same thing. And for a 'Live performance' to happen a proper stage would have to be set take for example 'Rock in Rio' concerts.. sure people drink and do whatever they decide to do but long as they cannot reach the stage that's fine. But it's always risky. There's also people behind the stage and you never know ...people can steal and so on which is sad. Trustful and respectable people would have to be involved aswel. Of course then there are party organizations that can't supply the proper equipment to the artist or the artist is not paid enough to give such performance and then there are the bigger organizations where you see the 'big' names in psytrance showing off and pressing play and same goes in the 'Tommorow Land' Festival. It's ridiculous. lolol.. imagine tiesto actually playing synthesizers loloolool... We'd rather watch a Jean Michel Jarre concert. Jean Michel when he was younger he was a bit of a show off too but he was rocking away playing his keytar lololol We seen him jumping and dancing a big cheering the crowd in the Monaco Concert and that wasn't so long ago , maybe 3-4 years? We're not sure but anyways sure we can't blame him. He was just happy. Now he seemed to have really mellowed out due to his age. He's probably one of the best examples as a live artist . It's not easy . You need money and a good team with you . Then there is the need of having extreme proper care with the musical instruments. These aren't things that cost a penny. They are worth a lot of money and specially vintage synthesizers can be worth thousands if not more. These things can last a lifetime if you really know how to use them and take good care of them. Jean Michel still owns his first synthesizers that he used to produce Oxygen. And this one is really cool video says it was 1997 he was much younger. This one is the concert we think you will probably see him playing a keytar and the Laser harp and stuff. Shivering stuff @ 8:50 ... it's beautiful really. There's a 'Live Act' for you all and the video that technosomy posted is another good example.
  4. As for Talamasca we will say..... hmmm Sinai!
  5. ohhh right that explains it lol Thanks Padmapani lol SixZeroFou4 that's for you now you didn't even bother to explain you were actually quoting them ... sneaky sneaky.. tut tut.
  6. That's exactly what he did. It really wasn't easy on him but he did it. About cosmic disorder yes that's correct it was released by an old Portuguese party / label organization back in 2007 so he decided to bring this one (Pandemonium! - Clown in a Bag) because it has a sample that shouts and says simply : 'NO MORE CLOWNING AROUND!' We think that pretty much says everything. He's active and he's not going to tolerate any disrespect that will degrade his person or work as any other person would. He already has apologized for all things he had said before and of course being a person that suffers of bipolar disorder it's obvious he never meant it. But he still apologizes. Life isnt about the past for us and for him now it's about the future . Of course for those that will talk nonsense we will just laugh and ignore and yes we know... some like to play 'dirty'... and We are not interested. As for that sample is just from a 90's movie comic adaptation of Spawn. The line is from the character Clown/Violator portrayed and played by John Leguizamo . Filipe says : Thank you so much and I will keep doing my best in every way i can .
  7. Yes. We finally did it. We got all (almost , but really a lot of!) the oldies. And they are unmixed! You will find in this massive compilation all the songs from that album including the very well sought after Astral Plains remix. Eternal Life and Lunar Stains are included + many others. We're not releasing the Sugar Rush remix because we all know the original and the remix is not much different so we decided to leave that one. Unfortunately as you would expect most of the songs came from mp3 files. And yes they did. We mastered some , some others we didn't do anything except levelling them up because they already had seem to be maximized and mastered in a way by Filipe when the songs were made and mastering on top of already mastered songs it really would make things worse believe us. So , what do we think? We think the songs are in acceptable good quality but most of Filipe's old work just simply sounds old and muddy but not because of it came from an mp3 file but because it was produced that way and no mastering can fix that. Yoga , Psyramid and Mental Maze were previously released by us and you can find them in these releases : Yoga (original mp3 sourced) and Mental Maze (original wav sourced) : https://gooddancerecordings.bandcamp.com/album/three-moons-and-one-shrine Psyramid (original wav sourced) : https://gooddancerecordings.bandcamp.com/album/emotions-from-a-beija-flor Apart from the old Buddha tracks , there is also another old unreleased Pandemonium song also coming from mp3 and we thought it would be worth a release aswel. There were a few others but nothing special really. We also tried to grab hold of the Amithaba Buddha - Solaris song but seems the file was corrupted by other previously used hard drives so it's just impossible to bring that one up. If Filipe finds it in a cdr we will release it but we really don't have hopes for that one and we apologise to the fans of that song. Lost in a Crystal Sphere unfortunately also couldn't be released because it seems to only exist in a mixed version and you can find that in the Phototropic Records release. https://www.discogs.com/Lost-Buddha-Untold-Stories/release/2776040 Denaris , Beast 303 , Drunk Pharaoh and Chemic Lab are originally Wav files. We know some people really were after these really old songs for years and we apologise for the originally sourced mp3 files but this is the best we could honestly do. Hope these songs will bring you much enjoyment and make many people happy once more. Kind regards , Good Dance Recordings. Total time : 2hours and 51minutes https://gooddancerecordings.bandcamp.com/album/liquid-sunshine-5
  8. Hi trunksan. So we suppose you don't like Municipal Waste , Gamma Bomb and such? :\ @Richpa Check out Brazilian bands , they make awesome Thrash Metal There are several , Korzus was good , Violator is alright just... and we have Gama Bomb from Northern Ireland where we're at. but we've kinda dropped the taste for this stuff lol Somehow this always bring memories of our teenage years when hormones are all over the place lololool... Batallion was ok had a few slow and heavy more mature thrash in a way depends on the mood but we had our years with this stuff lol Maybe you will like this Richpa ... Doom Metal lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVVUxSL0VTo
  9. I wouldn't be counting on that thanosp81... Or you stream from their website or best is download the app and use your phone as the external player. It's really nice stuff!
  10. seemed like 2 or 3 issues you opened this discussion for lol The whoever knows more or less is all competitive and egocentric , and the proving i'm better than you on the internet or anywhere else is the same. It's challenging , competitive and ego once again. What we think of all that? It's childish.
  11. we're not quite sure how to understand that ... do you mean the music sounds more human and not robotic? they were . nowadays they're no big deal . we listened to some of their recent music although they used their classic goa kick on top they're a bit lazy just dropping one note here and there with a lot of delay ... much of a full on trick. We're not overly impressed and surprised because this seem to happen to artists and bands when they tend to become 'almighty' big and famous.
  12. Yep it's still there! Hopefully won't cost you much. Average price for all our releases is £5. We're trying to be accessible to everyone and it's a good and fair price. We know bandcamp issues taxes on top but it's something we cannot avoid so we are kinda counter-balancing that effect. The artist doesn't get much really after all the taxes. But it's ok . We don't do it for the money. We're a non-profit label and all money goes towards filipe to help him with bills and buy food and so on. Here in Northern Ireland which we are part of the United Kingdom we do a lot of charity and whenever he can he likes to give some money towards Cancer Research and other people in need. It helps and we thank those who kindly buy the music and support us.
  13. No problem. As long people are happy that's what we are here for. Angels Trumpets is very deep and very intense Goa-Trance . It's not for everyone we think. Maybe it will grow up in time maybe it will not. We are happy you really enjoy it. Thank you Anu.
  14. My friend ... that is ... Ridiculous. You are referring to the song Astral Projection - Nilaya is that right? Lacking bass punch.. lololololol Astral were #1 the punchiest ever back in the days! hahahahahahahha Very true. If a song lacks punch maybe it's because the person that created the track didn't intend it to or didn't have the proper equipment to it. There could be several reasons. Funk has a lot of groove and the drums are tight ... Amen break anyone?
  15. maybe because the music is really good and your mind tend to focus on the music more than in the game itself? same happens to us , sometimes we are watching a movie and some song comes up and we are completely drawn to the song because it's really good and forget about the rest. That usually happens when a song is really good and that's a normal thing
  16. We had a listen to Lazarus Rising and the sound of Neogoa Records is very hi-end and very crystal clear in a modern way. It's very modern and digital music that we think people can find from this label. You can tell Neogoa Records is very professional . Compared to us we have completely different sound , we sound really more 90's and old compared to Neogoa. It's good that we have so much variety in the Goa Scene nowadays. Regarding GoaD , Filipe remembers he came to him and GoaD loved his music , Goa Gate and etc. GoaD even sent some original old school Goa Cd's as a gift god bless him. As for his music we don't think he sounds much like Filipe , maybe he has some vibes because maybe it was because of Filipe he started making goa music and that is a nice thing. Best wishes to you all and GoaD too! PS - The cover is really cool . Filipe knows that GoaD loves airplanes and when he started making demos he was under 'Captain Cockpit'. And the TB303 and reference to Imba's album is funny too! Plus that Hawaiian doll! lololol Well done guys. We added Suntrip to our recommended list we are also going to add you guys. Cheers and all the best ! Keep up the good work!
  17. Hi yas. We present Liquid Sunshine 4. In this volume you will find Knight of the Light , Medusis , Liquid Jungle , Deludia , Uchiwa , Ethnya and Shousan. It's 106 minutes of Goa~Trance music. Don't miss it. https://gooddancerecordings.bandcamp.com/album/liquid-sunshine-4
  18. wow you are right this is really out of this world like! 'Get down , get down , get down...' sample and we noticed a 'it's payback time!' sample aswel! So full of metallic sounds , synth organ sounds that sounds like Captain Nemo would be playing down in Nautilus and brilliant melodies , shouting samples , huge percussion and this spacey spooky sound it's completely mad!! lolololol Martian Law is so furious! Brilliant psytrance music like back in the days! Koxbox! This song doesn't even let you know when it's coming when it kicks 3:00 it's all like so you want your face melted? 3:00 there ya go ! lol Super intense in your face melted space dark Goa Psychedelic Music. What a ride! Yep we are going to release this! haha Post edit : and we are going to listen to it again! It's really good! lol seriously! Filipe has nothing to prove really lol whether from smooth trance to acid or smashing in your face goa he can pratically do everything or anything if he wants to. lol Except all that dubstep and commercial stuff he really doesn't like that stuff. He says : ' You know what is hard? Soundtrack & Movie Orchestral Music.' We've nothing else to add really he completely can master anything else if he wants to. We will probably have to make some small changes in Good Dance aswel because we will probably add his Chiptuning music. He loves it along with Spacesynth because it's much more of a challenge than goa/psytrance. You cannot 'cheat'. That was except for his 'Bit-Head' project which was kind of a hybrid. As for chiptuning mostly there are no use of filtering modulation in such genres , you can't loop too much and you actually are forced to to compose... He even has an old Commodore 64 with some cartridge to make SID music stuff lol . Music and lots of chord changes and Linn Drum work which he loves playing with the bassline and leads . Apart from that we actually heard someone in the underground that made a goa song with a gameboy! It sounded good! Somehow the artist managed to put that rave goa sound into 8bit with kicks and all was made in a gameboy! That was pretty cool ! And no filters and nothing else. The song wasn't boring too because they can generate these different types of noise with an 8bit chip. Anyways , we will share it here if we manage to find it again , Filipe really liked it. As for the rest we apologise to those that are not happy with our high quantity of releases. It's true. Filipe has done a lot of music but that's not his fault. He loves it. And we read somewhere that even Mars from Suntrip Records mentioned that most artists are becoming lazy because they seem to waste more time on facebook than in front of their machines. It's true! It's very easy to get 'lost' in facebook specially when you are a well known established artist we constantly get messages from fans and Filipe prefers not to be disturbed. He appreciates reviews praises and so on about his work but personally for him he doesn't feel the need to be constantly praised. It's his relationship between him and his own music that he likes to keep it in himself and not become lost in fame and we know this happens. For him , the music he made is more special than himself and from his experience he already seems to recognize when he made something good and when he made something just plain boring or meh. So Filipe threw his facebook account down ages ago and he hates it. So instead of spending time in a website done to 'enslave' people's brains that constantly slams uninteresting material to him he'd rather spend time with his family and spend time with his musical instruments and be creative. So by this point yes there will be probably more music from him you can count on that! As for this year he only done 2 releases. One was spacesynth and another one was goa so maybe there will be more this year or next year but not in vast quantities. He just happens to have a really large discography and if one day he will pass away he hopes he will leave something special to everybody and to his son.
  19. lol Trance2MoveU this was probably the funniest review you ever done. Seriously. Ever. This album is just... ok. Comparing this to his earlier gems there not even such thing. You're even unable to. Pick Teleport it's one of his best albums. Apart from that one there's Moment of Truth and Earth Moving the Sun which are ok and many will probably consider them Goa gems. As for this album it's a simple 3 out of 5 in our opinion. Teleport being the best in our musical taste. And another thing. When you see albums with the artist themselves in them you know what to expect... a big 13 year old wedding cake, that's what this is and its just... is lol as Trance2MoveU just put it lol .
  20. Brilliant work! congratulations this is really good! loving the classic goa station! thank you!
  21. lol drinking spirits and listening to goa ... lololol 'goa spirits' or you could even say maybe drinking spirits made in india? I'm probably sure they have something Back on topic : we usually just lie down on the sofa put some headphones on , relax , close your eyes and let the music play. When it's really good music you can 'travel' and feel all the sounds around you.
  22. Had a listen to this . It's ok track. Has some psy-trance sort of effects but the melodies seem to be really low. The production could've be much better. Filipe done things better than this. Maybe one day we'll ask him about these songs see if he still has them. If he does maybe he could re-master them or something If you prefer more deep , intense in your face goa-trance here :
