I agree with some of your points. I don't like psytrance that is not going beyond the perfect/in harmony kick and bassline. Technics like these make your track sounds "pro" and will sound great on the dancefloor. Then it's up to you, when you do this, not to stop it there I usually sample many bass notes and then do melodic arrangements. And when the kick is on the same note as the root bass it is so much easier to mix and it feels more musical, to me at least. But I get what you're saying Thanks for subscribing

Hello everyone! For quite a while a few people asked me for tutorials. This is my first one and English is not my first language. I do them both in English and French. I will get better at it in the future First tutorial is about kick and bass mixing. Next one will be about mixing in general. I wanted to begin with the very basics of a good track. In the future I will go into more sound design stuff. Just a little bit about me : I've been producing PsyTrance since I was like 14 year old. I am no soon to be 26 So I have a few tracks under my belt. Got to open for Infected Mushroom in 2017. It was the best experience of my life! Got my synth signed by the guys! I am part of a PsyTrance duo called Aximetrik and we are from Canada. I hope these help someone! Please if you have suggestions feel free to write a comment here or on youtube, or you can even PM me. I really want to get better. Hence why I will work on my English too. I speak too slowly haha. Thank you Edit : The mix between FL and my voice ain't the best. I apologize. I do not post-produce my videos. I record with a streaming software. I'll make sure FL is not too loud in the future.

Hehe thanks Yeah I get what you're saying. I used to listen only to Infected Mushroom and haven't ever found another artist doing their kind of melodic psytrance. So I guess, without even knowing, I make music the same way lol I just produce what I want to hear really Glad you dig it! Maybe with time the music will sound more personal

Thank you! Yes I am a huge fan of Infected Mushroom and you can hear it especially in the intro when the bass kicks in heh! Mixing is what I am working on the most right now. Their production imo is the best. I will have the privilege to meet them soon and will sure talk about mixing!

Maybe a small overuse of the bit crushed sound, especially in the break. Overall a very good track! I enjoyed it I like the triplet bass. The percussions in that part are really cool. Maybe the synth doing that one single note is too fast? Or maybe too dominant/on the foreground. The later break and the ending are nicely done!

I'm new to this forum, it's quite cool to see a psytrance forum full of life I'm very active on the Infected Mushroom forum but the forum itself is not as active as it used to be lol Anyway, I simply wanted to share psytrance!
